Anyone around 9 dpo?

Hi wondering if anyone is around 9dpo and wants to join me for the agonising wait? I'm trying to hold off from testing until at least 12dpo but it's so hard! I've never obsessed over something so much and I'm only on my 2nd cycle Sad

@Akasia I only explained part of the SMEP plan to my husband, I thought if I explained it all he would run for the hills. So I'm hoping just to surprise him after I ovulate lol with dtd every day for a few days

@thethreeandme the fact that your cervix is high is good news, fx for you, hope you get what you want!! this will be my 5th cycle ttc, I know that compared to others it is nothing, but I find it really stressful and breaks my heart everytime af shows. As for SMEP, what @lavaderlove said. It's a very regimented program for sex 😁 designed to maximise ones chances of falling pregnant.
@lavanderlove I should start today and all, but this weather drains me. Haven't even told my other half what's to come 😶😶 good luck on your journey 🤞

@lavenderlove it is but also kinda tough.. he said if it hasn't happened this month.. well it might of! Still no af yet and woke a million times in the night to pee! Also think I may have uti though which may present with symptoms from what I've read especially with my one kidney so I'm going to book a Dr appointment today to make sure that's ok may get him to do a cheeky test lol.. I'll keep all posted xx

@Thethreeandme ah I can imagine that is really discouraging for you especially if you don't want to take a break from trying. Yeh maybe it is the added stress of a new job. Does he take it quite hard when you get a BFN maybe? Yeh like you say there is a lot of time to prepare once you get your BFP Smile really hope this is your month xx

Like start using protection for a few months.. we be been actively trying for 3 months now so I'm really confused. He has just started a new job so I'm hoping it's just that but I've said to him we still have the best part of a year before little one would be here anyway!! Xx

Will keep my fingers crossed for you @Thethreeandme and oh no, how long have you been trying? Does he mean start using protection for a few months or just not focus on trying as much?

Hi @Akasia I'm on CD 8 and going to do SMEP this month too. Hopefully sticking to it better than last month! So I'll be starting with dtd every other day from today. Hope it works! Have you heard from anyone who's tried it?

Ooh it sounds promising for you @Thethreeandme good luck!! Hope you get your BFP on tues! SMEP is the sperm meets egg plan, I think it's dtd every other day from CD 8 and then 3 days in a row from when you get a positive OPK. Then you miss one day and dtd again the next day. I tried it last month but didn't stick to it properly as we found it quite hard to keep up with haha!

Hi @akasia yep I think I am. No af yet but she was cruely 2 days last last month. I feel really tired today with banging headache and usually when af is due I get upset tummy today I'm literally the opposite.. so much so ice had to have a movicol lol.. sorry tmi. My cervix has moved back up again which is slightly comforting so time will tell. I'm going to try my hardest to wait to test till Tuesday I can't face it saying bfn I really would.rather wicked witch just reading her ugly head! Can I ask what smep is.. I'm not used to all of these abbreviations haha. Also how long have you been trying? Xx

Hello ladies :) hope you're all well and the witch left most of you.
I am now on CD7 and decided to try SMEP this cycle, planning to start from tomorrow.
Anyone care to join me? (not literally 😶) It's been nice having the support from this thread during the tww.
Any tips on how to make SMEP work would be great by the way 😉

Oh no 😔 well ladies looks like we're all onto next month I'm crabby as he'll and cervix is low and open.. this cycle can suck my toe 😭 I'd love it if all of us in this thread could be with each other next month too.. feel oddly close to you all!! Xx

@dreaminofholidays yea I read tjat after half an hour you shouldn't use thay urine.. I'm just not going to test again now. Fully expecting af the weekend though I've gone so moody .. very clear sign for me xx

I am now 12dpo, unless AF shows I am going to try my very hardest to wait until Saturday to test again xxx

@ttcat32 it does thank you. It's been well over 12 months for.me so fingers crossed. May be reassuring to be monitored closely anyway. @dreaminofholidays no lol I tested again yesterday but I'd collected fmu and tested it an hour and half later after doing the kids breakfast .. I didn't know this wasn't alloud. I'm defo leaving it now till maybe even Sunday xx

@Thethreeandme I didn't have mine removed but did go to test to be a donor for a relative and at that time they advised as long as I waited for 12 months and all else was ok it shouldn't cause any issues although would require some extra monitoring. Appreciate that your situation is different but thought it might put your mind at rest a bit Smile

Ladies can I ask, do any of you have issues with your kidneys. I had one of mine removed dec 16 due to cancer. I've asked my Dr and he said as long as I keep my fluids up it'll be ok with monitoring. My other worry is I have a 10 inch scar around me going from belly button to spine. I'm worried about the pain of it stretching etc.. any similar experience welcomed lol xx

@lavenderlove sounds like SMEP definitely has it's downsides... I don't know what the best way forward is that causes the least stress.

I'm so sorry AF has showed for so many of you! I always think about how safe sex was drilled into us from such a young age not just to protect against STI's but pregnancy too..turns out getting pregnant is super hard!

My period turned up eventually 9 days late, but has caused more confusion than anything. It arrived and it was red, then today was my official Day 1 and it's all brown and only there when I wipe. I've worn pads but they're all clean.

I know it's far too late for implantation as I ovulated over two weeks ago, so I'm just worried something is wrong now!

I'm sure tomorrow she'll come full flow and I'll feel better to have some answers!
I wasn't ill or stressed (I am now!) so can't think of a reason for late ovulation but our bodies are curious things and it could be for any reason! I just hope it's a good one, need a long hard sleep! Sad

@Thethreeandme don't think a standard test would be sensitive enough to pick a positive up so early so don't be disappointed yet.

@dreaminofholidays it's still early for you too and I've heard mixed reviews about FRER's picking it up as early as they say. Good luck for Friday if you decide to test then!
And I can't decide whether to follow SMEP or not. We attempted SMEP last month but I think my DH felt quite under pressure and he didn't stick to the plan which annoyed me - and me being in a mood
