I'm now 4 days late for AF and after a negative PT 3 days ago I did another yesterday morning only to just about throw in the bin when I saw a very faint line... didn't get time to buy a better quality test before my night shift to see if it was true so did another a few hours later of the same cheap amazon ones and this time I think I see a bit more of a line? I'm going crazy wondering on my shift that I though I'd put the question out there... has anyone else had this with cheap stick tests only to not be BFP? I'm a pretty regular 28 day cycle and today is CD32... hmmm

No my screen is only the emoji face and the italic writing button. The freedom ones were the ones I had positives on, other tests I’ve used have been negative

kisses4u · 03/08/2018 08:05

Does your screen not look like this? The paper clip is the one bottom middle

Just seen on another thread that those freedom tests can be faulty. Have you tried any other brands

I can’t find the paper clip button anywhere. The tests I did were the cheap ones from Asda. Freedom they’re called! Just frustrating getting a couple positives and then negatives! Also I didn’t even know it was possible! We had sex a few days before my implant come out and they did say you wouldn’t be covered a week before or a week after removal. But even so, I haven’t had a period since May 😑

kisses4u · 02/08/2018 20:46

You just click on the paper clip icon to upload a picture from your phone or computer. Clear blue I think are often not very sensitive! I got a FRER and highly recommend.

Also how do you upload pictures? Haha

Tiel1996 · 02/08/2018 15:20

Thank you! I’ll have a look on the packaging :) yeah I did a clear blue and it was negative, that was rubbish 🙄 yeah I’ll try and post pics :)

kisses4u · 02/08/2018 14:56

Tiel can you check the packaging to see how sensitive the tests are? They tend to be 10 / 15 / 20 / 25. With 25 being the least sensitive. I used 10's on the cheapy sticks I got off amazon and they showed a line but with a coop one it was completely blank! No line at all! They are 25ml/u so u might want to check that. It's misleading really as they all say 'test up to 5 days before missed AF' however frer is really the only one that really can proclaim this. Have you tried a frer? (First response early results) also can you post pics of your tests?

Hiya,

So I had my implant out on the 28/06 and had sex a few days prior to that. My periods have been messed up from the implant and my last cycle was May! I’ve been feeling awful lately- lower back pain, stomach cramps, really tired so did a test. I did one that afternoon and very faint second line, did one the next morning with s more distinct line but did a couple this morning and come back negative.

Anyone have any advice please? I feel a bit all over the place Confused

How did ur Frer go?

kisses4u · 31/07/2018 19:47

Thank you! FRER arrived in the post today so I'm super excited to see what it brings with tomorrow's FMU. I think that will have me finally convinced then

Desmondo2016 · 31/07/2018 11:32

They're not even faint!!!

Thecaravan · 31/07/2018 11:07

My internet cheapies never got any darker than that. Hope all goes well for you Flowers

kisses4u · 31/07/2018 07:44

Thanks for your thoughts ladies! I have a two pack frer arriving in the post any day now. I'm still not convinced and hubby is really unconvinced. Only because with DS we got a very strong +ve when I was only 1 day late and even then he asked the MW at our first app how accurate these tests were (I'd done 3 by this point) 😂 so I think a combination of having him in my ear and the lines between by so faint is making me doubtful... I guess I'll know by week 6 tho as I suffered really badly last time with sickness to the point I was admitted to the EPU for fluids! 🙈

Icklepup · 31/07/2018 07:42

Positive!

Pondering1 · 31/07/2018 07:39

Not getting darker as they are crap! There's a reason they are so cheap!

Pondering1 · 31/07/2018 07:38

They are exactly how my cheapies looked. I'd say congratulations are in order 😃

peterpanwendy · 31/07/2018 07:29

That looks positive to me! I'd say they're not getting darker because you're using different concentrations of wee (sounds bizzarre Grin) try holding for a few hours or all night if you can then testing again. I didn't get a clear positive until I was 10 days late (I'm due next month!) x

kisses4u · 31/07/2018 07:12

Three days running of very faint lines... the one on the right I just did 5 mins ago. Anyone know why they don't get darker with each day? I'm confused. Everywhere I look says the line should get darker and darker 🤨

Could it be could it beeeeee???
OP posts:
kisses4u · 30/07/2018 11:21

Will do!
I did look at the sensitivity of the two tests and the coop one is 25 where as the one step cheapy is 10... so I'm hoping this means it's showing on the cheap dippy ones because they are more sensitive?! Here's hoping!!! 🤞

OP posts:
Pondering1 · 30/07/2018 08:54

I bet!!! To be fair, even when I had confirmed my wee one and had a scan at 6 weeks, the cheapies were still giving super faint lines that would disappear when they dried up. Let us know how it goes with the first response!!!
