Hi

Currently using flo app on my phone and dates when I should have ovulated have been and gone I've been using cheap home opk sticks and didn't get a second line of any kind at all during the flo predicted time. I've kept testing and the last couple of days I've been getting a faint second line which i think is getting darker. Does this mean anything at all? I've read that unless it's completely the same as the test line it means nothing

I'm confused, it's not that far from my period being due so does that mean i have not ovulated this month!?

Thanks

So 2 big positives 2 days in a row. That does sound good, was it CD11 yesterday then? I've heard some peoples LH surge lasts longer and they'll have a few days if positives. Some people get a positive for 3 hours and then it's gone. At least a longer LH surge means you're more likely to catch it on a test.
I'm still testing every day but haven't had anything in the second window for 4 days.
Just a darkish line on CD11, a faint line on CD12, and no line at all since xx

I'm like you @mshopey normally test at 11am each day but took this last night (after a run so drank loads of water!) at about 10pm and another positive! Not sure if that's accurate?? But think maybe they do work after all maybe it's taken me a few months to get back to 'normal' after implant removal xx

I do it at 11am each day.
I have my first morning wee. Wait 4 hours without drinking much/if anything, then do the OPK. It's what i find easiest. I only do one a day and have heard some people say the afternoon is better if you're only doing one.

minnierose3 · 15/08/2018 15:28

I think they advise doing it about the same time each day x

Don't give up hope @MsHopey you may still have caught it! Or maybe just not concentrated enough wee on the15th? I think I'm going to change to the clear blue advanced ones if no luck this month, would rather get it done in the morning rather than spend half my afternoon with my legs crossed x

MsHopey · 15/08/2018 14:13

That's what's got me thinking I might just be having a short cycle and missed OPK closer to my ovulation. So i got a second line on CD11, which means it could have been a positive a day or 2 before if I'd actually checked Sad but I didn't. So now I'm basically guessing.
Definitely doesn't look like I'm going to ovulate any time soon.
I saw this and thought maybe ovulated on CD9 is a possibility.

minnierose3 · 15/08/2018 13:24

That's so frustrating that your periods just came back 😕 but it's really good they have so now you can start tracking and getting ready to TTC

I had my implant out on 4th of may and had a period pretty much straight away - 5 days later, although having said that, they've been a bit all over the place since varying from 19 days cycle right up to 28.

CD11 was my first OPK of this cycle and has been the only second line I've had all cycle.
On CD15 now and still no second line at all. My cycles are normally 28 days long but still adjusting from having the implant removed. So I really don't know what's going on with my body.

@MsHopey I managed to hold it for an hour 😂 starting to think I might try in the morning now, I know we're not supposed to but what else can we do🤷‍♀️

MsHopey · 14/08/2018 20:14

I know. It kills me to drink, stop drinking, wait 4 hours, blah blah blah. And then get a bloody negative Angry

ttcat32 · 14/08/2018 20:08

Thanks @MsHopey it's the first time I've managed to get any sort of line, I drink loads so can't hold my wee long enough 😂😂x

MsHopey · 14/08/2018 20:06

@ttcat32 I'd say nearly but not quite.
I'd check again tomorrow but I'm no expert, not managed to get a positive OPK yet.

ttcat32 · 14/08/2018 19:23

Ladies could I ask your opinion on this test, I'm CD20 so hoping I am finally getting there!

Ahhh. I had my implant out at the start of June which might explain why we're both in a similar timeline then.
I've only had one period so far which started on 1st of August, so this is my first proper cycle, which is annoying because I was hoping to get pregnant right away (I know it's super unlikely) but wasted months waiting for my period.
Is there a link between implant removal and early ovulation? (Or is it shorter cycles)

minnierose3 · 14/08/2018 17:22

Sorry CD10 xx

It's just CD9 for me so mega early too was very surprised! Not TTC at the moment @december2018 just tracking after coming off the implant xx

Always a possibility then.
Have been DTD every other day since CD9, and started using fertility gel from CD11, so trying to cover my bases.
I just had one darkish line (no where near positive) on my first OPK of the month on CD11 and had no lines since. Worried i ovulated on CD9 which is why my line disappeared instead of getting darker.

December2018 · 14/08/2018 15:12

.... literally nothing there at all 😖

December2018 · 14/08/2018 15:11

If it's any help ladies I didn't get a positive the whole month we conceived so don't always go off OPKs I'd just go with the flow and try and enjoy your partners and have fun 😜

This was the darkest one I got that cycle xxx

MsHopey · 14/08/2018 14:43

What CD is today for you?
I'm confused with mine atm and currently think I ovulated on CD9. Which seems mad and way too early but would like to know how other people have been doing.

minnierose3 · 14/08/2018 13:08

Well just in case any one was following this but i just wanted to let you know I've had success with the cheap OPKs this month! Very, very early in my cycle! Must have been testing too late before. Results were there in less than 1 minute!

Hi no not using an app for ovulation tracking can you recommend one?

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 29/07/2018 11:12

It's the time between ovulation and your period starting @minnierose3, any time between 10 and 16 days is normal. Textbooks say 14 days but that's based on a typical 28 day cycle. Anything less than 10 could indicate an issue.

Do you use an app at all? I don't input everything but use flo just to see where I am in my cycle. It can get obsessive though so I have to be careful

yikesanotherbooboo · 29/07/2018 10:44

Sorry , misread.

minnierose3 · 29/07/2018 10:38

Oh god @venusstar what is luteal phase?!?!
