Hi

Currently using flo app on my phone and dates when I should have ovulated have been and gone I've been using cheap home opk sticks and didn't get a second line of any kind at all during the flo predicted time. I've kept testing and the last couple of days I've been getting a faint second line which i think is getting darker. Does this mean anything at all? I've read that unless it's completely the same as the test line it means nothing

I'm confused, it's not that far from my period being due so does that mean i have not ovulated this month!?

Thanks

Hey, it's okay, though Msreader is gonna be confused as to why she was tagged 😂!
It still feels unreal and I'm feeling a little stressed and anxious that something bad it going to happen. It seems pretty normal though, and it definitely normal for me as I have high anxiety anyways. And what's more stressful than kids!
Awww, I bet off to school is mega emotional without the extra pregnancy hormones.

Omg that's absolutely lovely news about your sister!! Ahh how nice. Yes doing ok thanks! How about you? I've been so emotional, like in tears a ridiculous amount, my big little boy has started school this week so not sure if its linked to that or the pregnancy haha x

@minnierose3
How are you feeling?

MsHopey · 29/08/2018 06:38

How old are your other 2?
And DH told her on his own, he's says she seemed okay, but when he told her we wasn't telling anyone else until after the scan she complained that it wasn't exciting if you wasn't allowed to tell everyone.
On a side note, me and my sister (we're very close) said we was going to try and get pregnant together so we can share all the experiences as we were both wanted a a second baby (her 1st is nearly 7). She only got a positive pregnancy test this morning as well! We're going to be due a week apart xx

minnierose3 · 28/08/2018 21:24

Oh wow! That's exciting! Yes I'm feeling a bit more ok about things now, but we've had a bit of a busy weekend and have had quite a few moments of 'omg how will we cope with 3?! ' but have to keep reminding myself it's still 8 months away and my 2 will be older by then and HOPEFULLY more sensible 🤣 what did your MIL say @mshopey??

MsHopey · 28/08/2018 12:02

*your husband is happy

MsHopey · 28/08/2018 11:16

So glad your husband, had it made you feel better and relaxed a bit more?
We told both our mom yesterday because DH was going to tell his mom whether I liked it or not!
I'm still getting some light spotting, which is normal but I bloody hate it and makes me super stressed. I had it till 12 weeks with DS, so it is normal for me but that doesn't make me any less paranoid.
Phoned the midwife and already got my booking in appointment for 20th September! Xx

minnierose3 · 28/08/2018 10:13

We now justt everyone's reactions to deal with @mshopey including MILs!!!

Told my DH last night and he is happy! 😍😍 family of 5 here we come 👸🏻🤴🏻👦🏼👧🏼👶🏻 xx

We was moving house when we conceived DS, MIL was helping us move and saw the nappies and wipes I'd started to stock pile. I think I was only 6 weeks! We're not well off so had to start buying sooner rather than later. So she knew then that we was pregnant, and we couldn't lie when she flat out asked. So I told my mom immediately to make it fair.
I wanted to keep it a bit more of a secret for us this time. But he says we'll need the help if something bad happens, and that he's excited. I think he'll probably tell her even though I don't want him to tbh Sad

minnierose3 · 27/08/2018 12:56

Yes totally know what you mean @mshopey, we told people at like 8 weeks with DC1 as we were out on BYE and everyone guessed!!! DC2 waited a bit longer but told family sooner. I think this time we'll wait until 12 weeks with everyone as im so worried about their reactions!!

MsHopey · 27/08/2018 12:06

@minnierose3
I don't take much notice anymore. I told both mine and DHs mom that we're having 2 if we can.
So they can be prepared and show their happy faces when we announce it. DH already wants to tell everyone but I want to wait till 12 weeks, I just want it to be our news for a bit. You know?

minnierose3 · 27/08/2018 11:45

@mshopey, that's a pretty harsh thing to say 😱

OP posts:
MsHopey · 27/08/2018 10:05

@minnierose3 I understand a little bit. My DS is really well behaved, and everyone says they've never heard him cry (trust me, he does, but it isn't very often), and that having another one is madness and there's no way they'll be as good as my first. MIL specifically said we should stop at one, no idea why. You've got to do what's best for your family, no matter what that is.

minnierose3 · 27/08/2018 08:52

Oh god @mshopey still nervous, I know it sounds daft just don't like the thought of our little family changing as things are really perfect and I know family members have already said "you'd be mad to have any more" So worried about their reaction too

OP posts:
MsHopey · 27/08/2018 08:40

He is happy but a little bit nervous. A few people he knows have had late miscarriages since we had DS and he doesn't want to get too excited until the 12 week scan. I can see where he's coming from, but on the other hand you can't not live your life because you're scared something might happen.
We're both in shock as well because we both thought it wouldn't happen until Christmas, maybe longer. Such a surprise for it to happen so soon.
It's the age gap I was hoping for tbh, so as long as all goes to plan it's going to be perfect!
How are you feeling? Are you excited yet or still feeling a bit nervous?

minnierose3 · 27/08/2018 08:08

Oh god , I was broody pretty much as soon as my DC1 was born, I loved being pregnant and missed it I think!! That will be a lovely age gap - so exciting is your hubby over the moon? Still not told my DH, still can't believe it although it is sinking in more now @MsHopey

OP posts:
MsHopey · 26/08/2018 18:09

My DS is nearly 13mo. We know we wanted 2 and quite close together. That's it. I am broody, which is mad because my LO is so young, but he's so gorgeous and playful and I knew I wanted 2.
But I can see how a 3rd would mean rejigging things around a bit, but definilty once you're already pregnant they're already a part of the family, which sounds silly. You'll make it work.

minnierose3 · 26/08/2018 17:52

I'm really confused, we really have the perfect little family now and things are now relatively "easy" although I do also know we have enough love to give another baby -

OP posts:
MsHopey · 26/08/2018 17:40

How are you feeling about the pregnancy? I know it's been a bit of a surprise, but you was thinking about trying at the end of the year.

minnierose3 · 26/08/2018 17:35

So, so tired! I was playing on the beach yesterday and was utterly exhausted as in had to go and lie down on the picnic blanket!! 🙈 that was strange and we got back today and was practically panting after just walking up the stairs! That's when I thought about doing the test as it was so unusual for me to be like that

OP posts:
MsHopey · 26/08/2018 17:21

I had hot flashes, implantation bleeding, cramps, but the worst is I've been so sweaty. I never normally sweat, but when I get my hot flashes my whole face starts to drip, it's unreal and pretty gross, but so not normal for me and definitely made me think something was off.

MsHopey · 26/08/2018 17:19

@minnierose3 how are you feeling? Flowers
