I have had spotting pre AF before. If AF isn't here properly today, I'm officially late. Never have cycles exceeding 27 days.

Only thing I'd say is that I got the 'thin milk white one' (apologies to those still on their lunch 😣) the day before AF last cycle... which suggests it's not a very reliable indicator! 🙄

@Delilah7 sorry, I'm struggling to keep up with the groups when they're all super busy!! I'm okayish, just had EWCM so now confused as to whether I'm ovulating now or not? Why are you hoping AF comes? Xx

I'm still mildly hopeful. Still only spotting. Will give the gin a miss until I see proper blood!

Welcome @MrsMcNtobe 👋 From most of the people I've talked to who were on the pill, it's hypervariable how long it takes for people's cycles to get back to normal. Some are immediate (when I came off years ago my cycle didn't skip a beat) and some can take as long as 6 months (a friend of mine came off in April and she's still waiting for AF to kick in). Not sure about using the apps when your cycle hasn't settled back into rhythm 🤔 I think a lot of apps work on assumptions about your normal cycle length and when your last AF was, so they might not be too helpful at pinpointing ovulation at this stage.

That said, you can apparently ovulate at anytime when you come off the pill and just have a crazy long cycle 🙄 TTC really does seem like a bit of a black art to me most of the time! 🔮

I was on the mini pill for around 2.5 months when me and other half decided we were infact ready to TTC. I had slight spotting for a few days 4th August and came off the mini pill on 10 August. I expected a bleed shortly after that but so far nothing. Does anyone know if this is normal?! I’ve also downloaded Ovia app to try and track my fertile/ovulating days.. is this worthwhile doing or should I be waiting for my next period? Thanks!

I get it @RanchoRelaxo - I like the IC's for if I'm just before AF and I need to know if I'm needlessly missing out on alcohol or not, but then getting the BFN and having to wait for AF to show up really depresses me 😔

@ValidUser, I am also looking forward to having a couple of drinks if/when AF turns up on Sunday 🍸🙂 DP says we should nip to a nice whisky bar we've been wanting to try Sunday afternoon and have a wee dram or two for our 'disappointment plan' treat 😉

I'm okay, approx 2/3dpo today, need to keep repeating 'i will not test early' this week, I have got a load of ics and normally can't help but test from like 7dpo, but I really don't want to this month! Will be a brilliant sign if my period holds off untill after 8/9dpo, will see if the vit c tablets have done anything 😊

It absolutely is @CookieWaffle! Just need to get that into my thick head and stop torturing myself with the symptom spotting 🙄 The only one that I wonder may be an honest indicator is if the sore boobs which we normally get in the luteal phase stick around right up to when AF is due 🤔 Mine stop being tender about 2 days before AF shows up, which I'm guessing is because my progesterone levels crash because I'm not pregnant... Which means I'll be copping crafty feels all Friday to see if they're still tender or not before AF is due on Sunday! I'm absolutely going to have someone walk in on me doing that at work one day 😄 I really should get some excuses lined up that don't make me sound like I'm mentally ill 🤔

Oh I had that website bookmarked. Its quite addictive. Just careful reading the comments at the bottom, I'm amazed at the amount of detail some women have gone into to describe what their body is doing, when it probably was just a bit of wind.

I found this response to someone on Reddit which I thought sums it all up:

"Being a living human with a torso is the leading cause of abdominal pain. If you had the ability to look into some strange past weird sensations crystal ball, you would see that twinges and jabs and pains happen to you all the time. Gas, poo, hormonal cramps etc."

I've had a sore throat for a few weeks which I magically forgot about last week then it magically came back. It was probably there all along but my mind was preoccupied for a few days! So much of this is all in our minds :)

Totally agree with you @RanchoRelaxo that there can't possibly signs that early! From what I was reading today the symptoms of high progesterone levels in your luteal phase and early pregnancy are sodding identical, so symptom spotting is entirely pointless... And yet I can't help myself!! 😖

That's what drove me to at least try and figure out when implantation was likely to happen, if it's going to happen 🙄 Any time between today and Thursday, so far from an exact science! Role on this time next week when AF is due and I'll be put out of my misery, one way or another 😏
