It really does veeboo doesn't it! I've had back ache today and obviously my brain thinks I'm defo preggers now 😂

veeboo · 28/07/2018 23:28

Hi @RanchoRelaxo fx for you and all of us. I noticed loads of tiny spots on my chest today. Progesterone maybe? Funny how ttc makes me hyper aware of my body! 7dpo for me.

RanchoRelaxo · 28/07/2018 23:22

Hi newbies, hope this is your lucky thread Grin
That's frustrating AmyRhodes hope it doesn't keep you waiting too much longer
Will be 8dpo tomorrow and I don't really know what to do, period is due any day from tomorrow till Tuesday, I might use a cheap test in the morning. I actually prefer to see a bfn and prepare myself for AF rather than it just turn up.
How are you getting on ChaosMoon?

CookieWaffle · 28/07/2018 23:02

@AmyRhodes sounds like your body is really trolling you at the moment!

@veeboo we do struggle a bit, was worse when DP was working odd shifts. Sometimes we're both trying too hard and it doesn't happen. I'm not sure what I did different this week but we've got 2 chances at least!

veeboo · 28/07/2018 18:40

Hi @smileyface32. I'm newbie like you. AF due 6 August. I've been using opks for 2 months now. Last month didn't dtd in the window but this month we did. I'm 6 dpo now.

Does anyone else have trouble dtd at the 'right' time? So many variables and pressure. I don't know how people accidentally get pregnant!

Sorry you're frustrated @AmyRhodes. Have you been using opks long?

Smileyface32 · 28/07/2018 10:28

Hi ladies
We’re TTC baby 1, keeping my fingers crossed AF doesn’t arrive on the 2nd of August. I also shouldn’t get my hopes up as it’s our first proper month of trying and I know it could take a long time

AmyRhodes · 28/07/2018 10:16

CD 20: ANOTHER negative LH test.

Starting to question my status as female earthling....

BambiOnIce80 · 28/07/2018 09:54

I totally hear you @gossipgirl28 - who knew it can be a gruelling psychological battle?! 😔 Hopefully baby dust will be coming your way this month 🙂

gossipgirl28 · 28/07/2018 09:31

Hi ladies, can I join?

I'm 28
TTC 1
Cycle 7

Came off the pill in December 2017 and thought it would happen straight away (how naive). I started off fairly chilled with TTC and gradually I've become an obsessive temp tracker, OPK tracker, fertility book 📚 reader, fertility lube buyer, all you can eat vitamin taker etc.
My cycles are irregular still and can be as short as 21 days to 53 days.
I've had a scan done and I don't have PCOS. I'm using the ovusense to temp vaginally (if someone told me at the start of the year I'd be doing this I'd have told them their crazy). The ovusense proves I do ovulate but my luteal phase is short at about 8 days.

Positive OPK on cd19.
Ovulated yesterday cd20
DTD cd 14,15,18,19,20

Hoping so so much for a bfp this time as mentally TTC is beginning to take its toll. Xoxo

Delilah7 · 28/07/2018 07:54

@ErikaSt that's what I thought! WTF am I meant to actually eat 😂😂

CookieWaffle · 27/07/2018 22:25

Welcome ladies!
@TakingtheLeap I was totally the same, little did I know!

@SunshineButton depends on when you ovulated as to whether it's early, but yep it's just a waiting game now :)

I'm so proud of my DP, I showed him my OPK as I was so excited by it. He took an interest so I showed him the chart. Then he was like 'oh is it time? Grin' Bless him, I have a good feeling about this cycle!

ErikaSt · 27/07/2018 22:04

@Delilah7 I’ve just been following the nhs guide. There’s way too much online - you’d never eat anything otherwise. I’ve been drinking semi-skimmed milk. It’s raw dairy you need to be careful of. But if you’re buying it from a supermarket it will be fine as it’s all pasteurised. From what I can work out, the jist seems to be avoiding anything that could potentially give you food poisoning.

TakingtheLeap · 27/07/2018 21:49

Hello! Can I join / re-join? (Can't quite remember which threads I've been on!)

Age: 27
Cycle: 6 (bleurgh)
Cats: 2, aged 18 weeks!!

TTC no 1 and now at the stage of quietly cursing all the folk songs / sex education lessons that led me to believe pregnancy happened at the drop of a hat... I know 6 months is nothing in the grand scheme of things but I guess I just thought it would have happened by now...!

Huge congratulations Delilah! Smile

SunshineButton · 27/07/2018 21:48

Hi everyone,

I'm ttc baby #1, on cycle 1 CD 22. Been having cramping, particularly on the left side, a bit of bloating and some lower back pain not in the usual places although everything I have read suggests that these were all far too early so I think I was just being over sensitive. Since I've realised that they all seem to have gone!

AF is due on Wednesday so I'm just going to have to to see what happens I guess.

Smile
Delilah7 · 27/07/2018 20:56

@ErikaSt is it true I can't have semi skimmed milk? What are your things you avoid or what you've been told to? Xx

BambiOnIce80 · 27/07/2018 19:22

That is one hell of BFP OPK @CookieWaffle 😯 Happy DTD-ing 😉

ErikaSt · 27/07/2018 19:14

*family

ErikaSt · 27/07/2018 19:12

@Delilah7 It is hard. The main things you need to know is what not to eat, don’t diet and eat what your body asks for. Marmite on toast and milkshake has become a regular choice for me! Never usually eat bread or drink milk but have devoured a whole loaf and 4 pints a week so far!

My date works out 17th March. Which is ironic considering his mothers side of the finally is Irish! 😄😊

Good luck sweetheart. Hope it all goes well. x x

Delilah7 · 27/07/2018 19:06

@ErikaSt hi darling!!! thank you. yeah I'm feeling good apart from bloody hot!! Yeah I've tried to not look up everything as I'm panicking 😂 no mine should be 4th April so could be a March!!

OP posts:
ErikaSt · 27/07/2018 19:06

@CookieWaffle Good luck! Don’t wait too long to dtd! 😉😉

RanchoRelaxo · 27/07/2018 19:05

Looking good CookieWaffle good luck!

ErikaSt · 27/07/2018 19:03

@Delilah7 Had to track down this thread to find you! 😄 Was thinking you’d know by now. Congratulations lovely! I knew it!

My only advice is to make the most of feeling ‘normal’ - this morning sickness/hunger/boobs like rocks malarkey is not fun! 😂

I know what you mean about the miscarriage worries, I’ve stayed off others MN threads for now to try and put it out of mind. I just hung around on this one in case I might be able to help someone which is a more positive action I think. Just go with the flow.

Enjoy! Will yours be a March baby too?

CookieWaffle · 27/07/2018 18:46

Hah so this time my body has decided to call me a liar. That there be a positive OPK....

TTC First Baby. Anyone else?! New Post
AmyRhodes · 27/07/2018 18:14

@RanchoRelaxo @CookieWaffle

Thanks ladies. I'm OPKing within an inch of my life. If I don't get a positive tomorrow then I'm concluding I have no womb 😂😂

I've had a copper coil so have been hormone free for years. I think that created a kind of fantasy in my mind that I was fertilising eggs every month in practice for instant conception once I whipped the little bugger out! So far, no joy. I'd be happy just to get a positive ovulation test at this point! X

RanchoRelaxo · 27/07/2018 17:43

AmyRhodes I have seen plenty of threads on here where women with short luteal phases have conceived without too much trouble, I came off the pill in January and have since found out that short luteal phase is common after coming off that which sucks
BambiOnIce80 good luck with the ics, will keep my fingers crossed for you over the weekend, love the part time cat by the way, cats are so funny
