@RanchoRelaxo we had a few experience days as wedding presents that weren't pregnancy friendly. (White water rafting, etc.) We put them off, but should have just got on with it.

@Maydot if there's colour, it may be positive. Maybe wait a few days and try an frer?

@CrystalBlaze definitely. But I think everything that's truly valuable in life is a little bit scary.

@Delilah7 at this point only you know the answer. I wish I could help.

CrystalBlaze · 29/07/2018 19:48

Totally get you @CookieWaffle, I think I'll be exactly the same.

Have been pondering over waiting but I'm not even sure what we'd be waiting for
there's never a perfect time is there?

@Rancho fingers crossed you get good news soon! And everyone else of course. Smile

CookieWaffle · 29/07/2018 19:43

Hi @Maydot, you need to do the I-will-not-test-til-I'm-late dance! It's a tricky one to do I know ;)

Hi @CrystalBlaze I spent years being desperate for this, then last month I had an almost baby and the fear started to set in! I'm more than ready for it tho. Bring it on!

@RanchoRelaxo I set so many stupid deadlines for myself over the years and I failed each one. Then since we actually started we were planning ahead "oh no we can't go on holiday in Feb as we might have baby by then". Hahaha we were so naive... At least I get my holiday in Feb now!

I'm more content with how my life has gone than I thought I would be. Yes it's totally not what I planned but I'm very happy with what I have right now. We've got our plans and we have things to work towards and what will be will be.

RanchoRelaxo · 29/07/2018 19:03

Hi Maydot did the line have any colour to it? Hoping its a positive for you Smile
ChaosMoon haha yep all logic goes out of the window here, I had a bfn this morning (probs too early either way) but still expecting AF to turn up any day.
I honestly thought I would be pregnant by now. When we first started TTC we were invited on a group holiday abroad and we didn't book that month because if I had become pregnant I would have been too far gone to fly, each month thats passed after that I have thought about how many months gone I would be, maternity holiday clothes and how I would need to be careful in the sun. The holiday date is coming up soon and it's starting to become a strong possibility that we will get to this milestone without actually being pregnant.
Sorry that was longer than I thought it would be 😂 hope everyone has had a lovely Sunday Smile

CrystalBlaze · 29/07/2018 18:58

Hello and congrats @Delilah7! Could I please join? Am 30 and not "officially" ttc as we are trying to be relaxed [wishful thinking face]

I'm also still slightly scared despite being excited about the prospect? Does/did anyone else feel like this?!

Delilah7 · 29/07/2018 18:25

@ChaosMoon he's someone you can be very honest with so yes I'd tell him if something bad happened. Just hard decision to make at the moment. When would be the right time before the scan if you were going to x

BambiOnIce80 · 29/07/2018 18:24

@ChaosMoon, thank you 💖 All hugs are greatly appreciated!x

Maydot · 29/07/2018 18:09

Hi ladies!!!... Do you mind if I join you on this thread?
I’m 33, TTC #1, 2 previous MC
AF is due any day and I’m driving myself crazy!!... No pregnancy symptoms but for some reason I did a test this morning. Chucked it away before looking at the result then went and fished it out the bin an hour later and there’s a line. No idea if it’s positive or evap line.
Holding out for AF now xxx

ChaosMoon · 29/07/2018 17:36

Oh wow, so many new friends. Hi ladies!

@Delilah7 would you tell him if anything did go wrong? If yes, I wouldn't hesitate. But if it would break you're heart to tell him bad news, I'd definitely wait. Only you can know which is best.

@RanchoRelaxo I'm 8dpo and my breasts are so sore! I'm also weirdly twingey. I don't want to go so far as to say cramping, but something close to it, on and off. It's probably too early to be anything but... we all know logic has no place here! How are you doing today?

@AmyRhodes and @BambiOnIce80 I'm sending hugs. Everyone else getting down with this head f*#k of a journey can have one too.

veeboo · 29/07/2018 13:38

@AmyRhodes how long have your cycles been? And what's happened previously? Wondering if you should have tested earlier or could have missed it? So sorry it's winding you up!

Delilah7 · 29/07/2018 12:59

@CookieWaffle as much as I understand that and so would he. He's got every chance of going at any moment, and if I didn't tell him I'd never forgive myself.

OP posts:
Smileyface32 · 29/07/2018 11:56

@bellafreud it’s nice we’re waiting for the same date. I’m on 8 Dpo now. My app says AF is due on the 2nd and to test on the 5th. I don’t want to get my hopes up by testing early. I did have a feeling AF was arriving this morning..fingers crossed it doesn’t

CookieWaffle · 29/07/2018 11:39

@AmyRhodes well at least if it turns out you're an alien you could make a fortune with that. You could be a celebrity ;)

@Delilah7id be wary if telling him too soon, if anything happened he'd be pretty gutted to know he wouldn't see it. I'd wait a bit first.

Delilah7 · 29/07/2018 11:00

Ladies, as you guys know how I feel about my Grandad I'm debating whether to tell him soon. I know I'm early but I'll never forgive myself if I don't tell him and something happens before my midwife appointment. He's so trustworthy and understanding and supportive, what do you guys think?

OP posts:
AmyRhodes · 29/07/2018 10:50

Thanks @CookieWaffle @RanchoRelaxo @veeboo "My body trolling me" is an excellent way to put it!

Day 21 and still nothing. Not even a shadow of a line on OPKs. BBT showing no hint of ovulation. Nothing.

My app has even given up predicting my fertility now, it simply says "More data needed".

It's my first cycle tracking in detail, so I'm seriously confused and a bit worried. Can I have been regular as clockwork period-wise my whole life without actually ovulating?! Was I born male? Am I pregnant? Am I an alien?

😩

BambiOnIce80 · 29/07/2018 09:33

Thanks for your support @RanchoRelaxo @CookieWaffle @Delilah7, it means a lot 💖

I hear you about the "if only I'd have known earlier" head f%k @CookieWaffle*. That said, there was no way I was ready for a kid in my 20's! I'll never regret all the travelling, wasting money at ridiculously priced restaurants (and on ridiculously priced shoes 😉) and focusing on my career, not even if it's cost me my chance of having a baby.

I TTC'd with my ex for 3 years when I was 30. I was hoping the primary infertility diagnosis wouldn't follow me into my new relationship, but I'm starting to suspect that it has. Had a heart to heart with DP this morning and he's happy to go get tested in 3 cycles time if we've still had no luck.

The stupid thing is, we're both perfectly happy with our lives as they are! We've got a lovely home in a lovely location that we're modernising and a baby would stop the work we're planning for next year. We love the disposable income we currently have and are half planning a 3 week holiday to the wine regions of Argentina and Chile at the end of next year - that wouldn't be possible with a baby... And yet there's still the longing!! Does anyone else get these conflicting feelings? It's like the head says no to a baby, but the heart says yes!

Delilah7 · 29/07/2018 08:37

@BambiOnIce80 it'll come Hun. The time you don't have symptoms will probably be the time! I didn't have any apart from me just thinking my legs were getting chubby as my jeans were getting tighter. And then 2 days late! Xx

OP posts:
CookieWaffle · 29/07/2018 08:18

Aww bless, he looks cuddly @BambiOnIce80,no wonder he keeps coming back as he gets awesome cuddles.

Yes it's not a fun ride is it, if only I'd known earlier... But then I wouldn't have been able to do everything I've done in the past few years. Take care of yourself today, you deserve it xx

RanchoRelaxo · 29/07/2018 08:13

Ah what a beautiful cat BambiOnIce80 mine are cuddled up with me in bed this morning too Smile sorry about the bfn, enjoy your disappointment day especially all the gins Gin

BambiOnIce80 · 29/07/2018 08:06

Thanks @CookieWaffle and @Delilah7 - I'm starting my 'disappointment treat' day with consolation cuddles from the quarter cat 😸

I was really queasy yesterday (in hindsight it must have been something I ate 🙄), but I allowed myself to get my hopes up. I'm already getting tired of this emotional roller coaster 😔 I'm sure positivity will be restored after some gin and tonics later today 😉

Bellafreud · 29/07/2018 07:51

@smileyface32 we are cycle buddies, I’m also due 2 August!

Not sure I’ve posted on this thread, I’m 30, TTC 1, cycle 3. I’m 10dpo and so far held strong and not tested, but am symptom spotting despite trying not to! Had some cramping yesterday which is new, but could have been very large meal causing it...

Delilah7 · 29/07/2018 07:49

@BambiOnIce80 sorry for your BFN Hun xxx

OP posts:
CookieWaffle · 29/07/2018 07:32

Ahh sorry to hear @BambiOnIce80 :( You go enjoy those gin and tonics girl! xx

BambiOnIce80 · 29/07/2018 07:20

It's a BFN for me this month... but at least I can guzzle gin and tonics guilt free this afternoon! 🍸

Good luck to everyone else enduring the dreaded TWW. I hope we get to see some BFP's from you.x

veeboo · 28/07/2018 23:36

@RanchoRelaxo it's such a mind middle! Never considered it would be like this before ttc.
