implantation bleeds and stuff

You do know me, it's just that I don't feel ready to talk about any pg issues openly yet - this soon after my mc I feel uncharacteristically reticent!

Since my last period we suddenly got broody, after having said we'd wait some time. So we did the tests, worked out my dates and did the deed last Saturday.

Now, I am not sure exactly when my last period started, but I would expect my next one to be 14 days after ovulation - surely whatever the length of your cycle, it is always 14 days after ovulation? So a bit of bleeding (stringy brown bits) yesterday - is that an implantation bleed? Is an implantation bleed usually accompanied by lower back period type pains? Or is all this in my head?

Oh bless Fisil. My DD got her reults today too and were alot better than expected, no grade lower than a D so she can do the college course she wants. I got quite welled up when i saw the other kids crying.

Glad yor feeling really PG, hope it all goes well for you, i will follow your progress on Mn.

fisil · 26/08/2004 17:04

Oh CP3, nutty & SS, I am so scared for you all. The early negative tests mean nothing - just keep waiting for Saturday/Tuesday.

Nutty, you really are naughty. I knew you would test as soon as they arrived! My dream was obviously a few days out ... I also dreamed that I received my GCSE results and as I looked down the list loads of kids got A, B or C (very unusual at my school) and that one kid in particular got a C, which made me cry because it was such an achievement for him. Well, I went in to collect results this morning, and we got the highest results ever, way higher than our target, and the kid I dreamt about did get a C, and I did cry! So if that came true ...

Scaredstupid - I am fine but feeling so reasuringly pg - which is a relief, with my mc I just had to sleep the whole time, and when I wasn't asleep I was crying because I wanted to be asleep! This time I have m/s, tingly boobies (already growing, too), a pleasing degree of tiredness, slight difficulty sleeping, and a propencity to cry when students get brilliant exam results!

nutcracker · 26/08/2004 16:59

PMSL Charlie

I'm pretty convinced it's not me either so it must be SS

CP3 · 26/08/2004 16:53

Its bloody testes that got you in this situation in the first place Nutty

I am almost 80% posotive that i am not pregant now, feel a bit defalted after the neg test, which is daft cos im not even late yet. One of us must be though, so its down to the reat of you!!!

nutcracker · 26/08/2004 16:40

OMG I meant tests not Testes

nutcracker · 26/08/2004 16:39

Hi all.

My testes came this morning, and i'm sorry but i couldn't resist. It was negative though. I won't actually be late until sunday though.
I am going to test on saturday and monday, but I usualy get a positive result pretty early so am almost convinced I'm not pregnant now.

Charlie - Our symptoms are so alike. I have sore boobs and pains in my sides too, spooky.
Hope you feel better soon, was worried about you yesterday.

Scared Stupid - We were thinking of TTc and then just got carried away and here we are now. I have decided though that if i'm not pregnant then we aren't going to try again.
My consultant with Ds was a witch, she kept speaking to me like a child and kept changing the date of the section, and basically just p***d me off alot. I was quite emotional anyway with all the probs I was having and she just tipped me over the edge.
I did eventually stand up to her though, and told her that I didn't really want to hear her opinion I just wanted her to do her job. She was stunned and I felt tonnes better

Fisil - Spooky dream, let me know if you have anymore.

Today I am knackerd still, but slept very well so confused. I still feel a bit dizzy and queasy too. Can't wait for saturday now.

CP3 · 26/08/2004 13:59

I knew it was too early ss but i did want to see a +. Im now convinced i am not pregnant. Im still enjoying my tea any way so cant be . How are you feeling?

Scaredstupid · 26/08/2004 13:17

CP3 Bugger is right! I was sure that it would be + when you did the test. (You did however plan to test on Saturday).
Sorry that you are feeling unwell. I hope you pick up soon and that all goes well at the doctors this afternoon.
Nutcracker, how are you this afternoon. Did you manage to get any sleep? Were you up to wee?
Fisil, how are you feeling? Any sickness?

popsycal · 26/08/2004 13:06

CP3 · 26/08/2004 13:02

CP3 · 26/08/2004 12:55

popsycal · 26/08/2004 12:49

cp3 - you should be able to test now if due on saturday!!!!!!

CP3 · 26/08/2004 12:46

Hiya all. Been laid up in bed as not well but alot better today and have docs at 3. God im a hypo, any way still have belly ache after scan but alot better. Its my ears that are bad and drops are not helping, the pain is all up side of head and in jaw so having trouble talking which pleases some people. Saying that it is alot better at mo, ive blocked them with cotton wool so im shouting un intentionally at the kids.

I got sore boobs but af is due on sat, still getting twinges in sides of stomach as well so no idea at all if pregnant or not. I think not BUT we will see in 2 days.

How is everyone else????

fisil · 26/08/2004 07:44

nutty, are you there? I dreamt last night that I came on here this morning to discover that you had already done the test and that you are pg!

scaredstupid - good luck with holding out until Tuesday. I wouldn't be able to bear the wait!

Scaredstupid · 25/08/2004 23:52

I do not think that we have ever had a 'proper chat' as I am relatively new to this whole concept. I do know your name so I have read many of your posts and likely posted on the same threads from time to time.
Your pregnancies do indeed sound hellish! You still did not tell me if you were ttc or why your consultant from hell made you cry...

I will need to find out tomorrow as I must get some sleep as morning comes early. Best of luck holding off on the test until the delivery in Sat post!

nutcracker · 25/08/2004 23:35

It's gonna bug me now, trying to figure out who you are ?>??

Have i chatted to you before under your normal name ???

nutcracker · 25/08/2004 23:32

I am wracking my brains beleive me.

All 3 pregnancies have been a bit of a rollercoaster ride.
Dd1 - Bled heavily at 7 weeks, and found out i had miscarried a twin. Also discovered that I have a funny shaped womb, which means it is quite small too. Was constantly in fear of going into prem labour. She was breech and couldn't turn cos of womb shape so i had c section at 38 weeks.

Dd2 - This time i was not going to,listen to any of their tales of prem labour, so what happened, yep I went into labour at 35 weeks, Dd was distressed so another c section.

Ds - All was fine until they discovered anti C antibodies and they rose quickly. I had to have care transfferred to larger hosptal over other side of the city. Luckily antibodies settled and Ds didn't suffer any side effects whilst in the womb. After the birth he was jaundiced (which we knew he would be) and went on a billy bed for a week. The jaundice toook about 3/4 weeks to go and then he became anemiac and narrowly escaped a transfusion.

In any further pregnancies the level of antibodies will start off at the level they were when I had Ds, so there is a higher chance of baby being affected in the womb. Although a high level may not affect baby at all, depends on the baby really.
Having a 4th section scares me too.

I think i've got sore boobs

Scaredstupid · 25/08/2004 23:26

Oh my! In an attempt to find out more about you, I have just read your thread on 'What the hell am I doing wrong?' and your dd2 could be our dd1! She is 5 and quite a stong willed character.

Scaredstupid · 25/08/2004 23:19

OOPS! I am telling too much. Should be easy to figure out who I am now! I have given no real info before as I am not proud of being in this state of panic.
I did not know that your last pg was a nightmare...Sorry. Were you ttc?
My gp has been know to make me cry. She is outrageous! I have learned that the best approach is to act dumb and then she thinks that she is being helpful.
How did the consultant from hell make you cry?

nutcracker · 25/08/2004 23:06

Oooh didn't realise this would be your 4th too.

I don't expect to carry to full term either, for a few reasons.
Am quite scared of having such a rollercoaster pregnancy again, but it can't be helped.
Just hope i don't get the consultant from hell again. She made me cry last time

Scaredstupid · 25/08/2004 23:03

There are many reasons why I am mad for wanting to have another as well. I would blow my cover to list them all but my days start early with our eldest and end late with the youngest and the middle child keeps me going all day...Not to mention the fact that even if I am pg there is no guarantee that I will carry the baby to term. (When I announced our last pregnancy our five year old said very logically that we will have four children if this baby lives.)
I am very happy to know that I am not the only one that wants to have a big family. Maybe we are both crazy indeed!

nutcracker · 25/08/2004 22:56

Nor me. I am amazed that one minute i can be utterly convinced I am pregnant and then i get a little twinge and think Oh no i'm not.

I have ordered some tests and I know i'll test as soon as they arrive. They have been dispatched already so hopefully will be here by friday.

You know i must be mad to even consider another baby. My Dd's were having a full blown argument at 4am and woke up Ds. I am like a zombie today.

Scaredstupid · 25/08/2004 22:48

Tuesday the 31st. I have pmt today with mild cramps. I was about to say that it must be AF but the truth is that I only ever get cramps on day 1 unless there is not to be a day 1...
I hate the wait. I am not a patient person.

nutcracker · 25/08/2004 22:44

I'm tired but am not sleeping to great at the mo so no point going to bed yet.

When are you testing ??
