implantation bleeds and stuff

You do know me, it's just that I don't feel ready to talk about any pg issues openly yet - this soon after my mc I feel uncharacteristically reticent!

Since my last period we suddenly got broody, after having said we'd wait some time. So we did the tests, worked out my dates and did the deed last Saturday.

Now, I am not sure exactly when my last period started, but I would expect my next one to be 14 days after ovulation - surely whatever the length of your cycle, it is always 14 days after ovulation? So a bit of bleeding (stringy brown bits) yesterday - is that an implantation bleed? Is an implantation bleed usually accompanied by lower back period type pains? Or is all this in my head?

according to that calculator we didn't. But I was using an ov kit and it was calling out loud and clear that tonight was the night. Also I can't be entirely sure how long my cycle is and what day my last period started. It could've started any day from 19th - 24th July, and my cycle can be between 23 and 33 days. That means I'm due on between 10th August and 24th August!

Hi twtl.

No, I won't do a test until next Saturday or later. I haven't seen anymore blood, but I wouldn't expect my period until next weekend anyway.

You have another week after that, don't you?

Is this your 1st? How many others do you have?

Have one ds. Tried 6 months before mc. Wouldn't say we're "trying" now - i.e. we won't necessarily be going for it every month, just when we feel like it. It is all part of the plan to make it less painful!

tltw - you've completely said what I'm feeling. I don't want to get all my hopes up etc. I hate periods at the moment because they remind me that by rights I shouldn't be having periods right now. So this is so much worse - when my period comes I will feel the deflation that comes with ttc periods, plus the anger that comes with post mc periods!

Yes, I am glad we have this thread, but at the same time the reason why I am avoiding all the other threads is because sometimes I just need to run away and hide and try not to talk/think about it!

I assume you are in disguise too! Maybe we could chat by e-mail/msn instead, support each other (and run away when we want to pretend our lives are normal!)

Hiya Sshh. There is quite a few people in your situation on mumsnet at the moment it seems. Alot waitng on test results and unsure wether they are pregnant or not. Many dont know if they are imagining symptoms and its really heartbreaking when they are so posotive they are pregnant and then its either a negative test result ot at worse they loose it.

Its a terrible time when you are trying for a baby especially after a mc. Im glad you have started this thread!! I am in the same situation as you and eagerly awaiting to do my test in about 14 days.

I think this thread could be good support for all mumsnetters in the same situation.

It does sound like an implantation bleed but i wouldnt like to get your hopes up. Good Luck Sshh and i hope you get the reult you are looking for.
