@Hidcat that's very decent of you, I keep checking if there's tests you can have yet because I can't give blood due to having a transfusion when first DD was born over 10 years ago. Surely they're all my own blood cells by now?

I'm keeping literally everything crossed for you!!!! Xxx

HidCat · 02/07/2018 21:57

@Funkyemzie yeah, haven't donated since before my last pregnancy and not given since due to having so many blood tests over the last 6 months! The smoke must be awful, the humidity is bad enough without that. I hope there's not too much damage up your way?

@Boboelephant I think I'm resigned to testing tomorrow lol.

Funkyemzie · 02/07/2018 21:45

Omg @Lovemysparkle that's so nice, pretty much brought a tear!

@Hidcat I'm going to be on here first thing in the morning to see if you caved! Do you normally give blood it that why you want to test?

Well I think I have my answer, just got some yellow/pinky mucus (sorry tmi), never had it before but must be start of af surely? If not then might pop in to docs to check it's not an infection or something with temps staying high.

Just to change a subject, my house absolutely stinks of smoke, got bush fires up on the moorlands near where I live, we're actually quite a way away but the wind has changed direction so had to close all the windows...its going to be a very sweaty night me thinks! 😧😳

Lovemysparkle · 02/07/2018 21:26

@zarala you really made me giggle with your post😁😁 you gals always make me smile & I know it must be hard to prop others up when the chips are so low but that’s what makes us penguins 🐧 a remarkable bunch, I can just imagine us in RL all in a bar together going from snotting & being emosh to giggling like schoolgirls with what we’ve made our other halves do😂
I was surprised at what professor said about not dtd but he just point blank said No sex at all & we both came to agreement that when a man with as many letters after his name says that he mean NO SEX🙈 it is really hard as me & dh have always had a very active dtd life!! But we will do as we’re told & I will become nun sparkle with other ways to touch & caress lol!!! Sometimes I don’t know where I get my inner strength from I guess it’s from my mum bless her she was with me when I had ds & she never left my side & she is my inspiration & my rock as well as my dh he is one of a kind I have never felt such love from another human being ❤️ & my dear ds he is the reason I get up every morning all he’s ever wanted is to be a big bro, he’s brilliant with kids & his new baby/toddler cousins love him!! I guess when I’m having a fuck the world day I look at what I have & I know some people will never experience love like I have in their lifetime, all I want is our little rainbow 🌈 to join our wonderful family & all of your rainbows to come to you all❤️❤️❤️

@Lilimum4 eating pineapple is fine. It's just that the core is full of extra special goodness that help with implantation. There's sold wives tale that pineapple is bad but it's not.

@Pampl3m0usse That's an awful period to have gone through. I hope things are starting to look up for you.

Just saw something on TV about chocolate and felt instantly sick. So weird!

Lilimum4 · 02/07/2018 21:04

@zarala
JKS is a way of life - not just for fw! That has to be the funniest thing I've heard yet. And I think my inner nun is hiding really well

SunshineSparklesSmiles · 02/07/2018 21:03

Hello All, just checking in for the day to see how you all are. I love the idea of knitting blankets. I'm a novice knitter but I find it a great distraction so may give it a try. Congratulations to all of you with BFP's, it gives me hope and lifts my spirit to hear your happy news. Hello to my fellow newbies, I'm sorry we've all found ourselves in this situation but so glad of the support Flowers

Boboelephant · 02/07/2018 20:55

Haha @zarala your post made me laugh!!! 😂😂 Not sure I have an inner nun either!

OP posts:
Ells0204 · 02/07/2018 20:55

@Lilimum4 I don’t think it does any harm. In my last PG (I MCd) I ate pineapple core 1-5dpo but this cycle I have been travelling a lot and hardly at home so I’ve been taking bromelain tablets every morning instead (bromelain is what’s in the pineapple!) im 7dpo and still taking them so we’ll see lol!

@YellowDaffodils86 I’m 7dpo too! This is going so slowly...

Pampl3m0usse · 02/07/2018 20:53

Sorry for being so lurky... rubbish work situation and generally struggling to cope. Fortunately have a very supportive GP but trying my best to limp on through the last 14 school days of term. 7/8DPO and a bit of spotting yesterday / today so convinced it's all over. Not helped by the fact my cycle has been properly all over the place this time (ovulated 5/6 days earlier than I really should have etc..).
Anyway wishing you all lots of babydust and will try to check in occasionally.
Daughter's near-death sepsis, Redundancy, Mum's cancer diagnosis, daughter's second bout of serious gastro issues, Mum's suicide, Gran's death, miscarriage (on birthday of baby due on Mum's anniversary), inquest all laden with an undercurrent of workplace bullying. That's just 18 months of my life. Not hard to see why I struggle to believe that I'll ever have a healthy, happy, pregnancy again! Sorry, feeling very grumpy today.

zarala · 02/07/2018 20:44

Sorry don't know why that came out all in bold

zarala · 02/07/2018 20:43

@Lovemysparkle - what! No DTD?! for how long ?! Surely only in first 12 weeks?? 😬
I've never heard of this rule! I might ask dr S what he thinks?
But now I think if/when I get pregnant again I will be a big nervous to dtd after hearing this rule from your professor!
And please do stick around! We need your sparkly presence! And would love to hear how it goes- hopefully we will all be joining the pregnancy thread with you soon! 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
Ah**@Lovemysparkle* I just saw your response to @Boboelephant* ! 40 weeks with no JKS!!!! How will you survive!!!! I mean I don't know about you guys but! I was mega horny when I was pregnant with my dd! Ahh! You're going to have to invoke your inner nun! ( somehow-?!? do we all have one?! I think mine is very well hidden if so!)

All the rest of you ladies invoke your inner sex goddesss ! always! Even if it's not fw remember JKS is a way of life - not just for fw!

Wait wait @Lovemysparkle sorry just saw your last post! Woah- you have been through so much! You truly are a warrior ! I have a really good feeling about this pregnancy for you- I can imagine how nervous and anxious you are but we will be here cheering you on! Any time you have a wobble or need a rant we will be here!

Sorry @strawberrye ! I hope it's just too early and your temps go up! But I know that feeling!

@TedLife I'm so sorry you're feeling so down. It's just really shit - sending penguin 🐧hugs
Also! I must add that periods in and of themselves are so shit. Even without this added TTC disappointment- so it's like hormonal overload and a dose of bad news! No wonder we all get so down about it!
Anyway our time will come we just gotta JKS and (try to) enjoy the ride

@Boboelephant fx for temp jump for you and bye bye grapefruit! Hello 🍍 ! As usual have everything crossed for you!

@Bobzybaby welcome to this wonderful huddle of warrior women! You have been through a lot and I really hope your rainbow baby arrives soon! Any questions on acronyms just ask! It took me a while to get used to this whole thing too!

Fx to everyone in tww! Let's hope this is a record month for bfps!!!

Lilimum4 · 02/07/2018 20:41

Does anyone know if its harmful to keep eating the pineapple after 5dpo

Boboelephant · 02/07/2018 20:38

@Limum4 I'm not really sure. The reports that say it is useful for implantation generally recommend eating it until 5dpo. I've also read one article that said you can have it for the rest of the tww. They do say that you should stop if you get a bfp and also not eat it between af and ovulation. However lots of people eat pineapple and get pregnant so who knows!?
@Lovemysparkle wow it sounds like you have had your share of tough times! I'm so glad that you finally got your bfp and keeping everything crossed for you. You deserve it!! Also please do stick around!
@Funkyemzie no idea what's happening on your chart i'm afraid. I can't see another o point either but the continued EWCM is confusing. Hope you get an answer soon.
@Bobzybaby welcome and I'm so sorry for your losses. Hope you get your rainbow soon.
@HidCat ooh I have everything crossed for you.

Is anyone testing tomorrow????

Lovemysparkle · 02/07/2018 19:59

@hidcat thank you that’s really sweet of you ❤️ When I had ds (previous no good twat) I had a good pregnancy lots of the usual stuff heartburn, carpal tunnel, piles🙈 you name it I had it but almost embraced it if that makes sense!! Even though my relationship was doomed my baby being born was so exciting for me & my family are the best ❤️ Unfortunately I had complications & ds had a major op at 2 days old & was in neo natal but we are both strong & ds is turning into a real charmer of a young man (14 in August) I decided to concentrate of being the best mum I could & sacked off relationships & pretty much excepted that I wouldn’t have anymore dc’s (obviously being single) but then I met dh 2 years ago & he brung my dream alive again (dh has no dc’s, loves my ds like his own❤️ ) to have a bub together, I was very upfront with dh about my complications & despite what my body has been through having ds I’m in good shape even docs are surprised!! And being the ripe age of knocking on the door to 40 in January 🙈🙈 I have a lot of hurdles to jump even without 3 previous mc’s but with all the will in my heart & I’m “high risk” I am determined to become bloody usain bolt & get hurdling!!! I’m not gonna lie I am shiting myself but I guess that comes with mc territory & I know you inspiring ladies know where I’m coming from but I came to the conclusion that it shits the hell out of me more to not be a mummy again than to throw in the towel, it’s just not an option I’m willing to accept ❤️ I’m trying to be brave & I’m sure I’ll have my wobbly days but I know I and all of us on here will start our journey & reach our destination TOGETHER ❤️❤️

Bobzybaby · 02/07/2018 19:55

@Secondtimelucky1980 what a time you're having. Have you been tested for natural killer cells?

Congrats to all the lovely posts with BFP!! Awesome news 😊

YellowDaffodils86 · 02/07/2018 19:29

@Lilimum4 hands up for the crochet gang🙌🏻
Iv made a girl blanket, next will be a boy one.
Hopefully i will get to use them one day.

@TedLife im cd 7 so we are pretty close.
I know how you feel, you are not the only one who feels like this, i often have little sulks of frustration to myself.

Going to try smep this cycle too.

@Boboelephant uhh grapefruit 🤮never liked the stuff.

@Bobzybaby welcome to the group, you are definitely not alone.

HidCat · 02/07/2018 17:57

@Lovemysparkle you've really been through the mill! You are so strong and I'm so pleased you're finally pregnant again.

@Funkyemzie I don't know if I am strong enough lol. The urge to POAS is strong today and compounded by the act that there's a blood drive near me and they've just text to say spaces are available as they're short on donors.

@Bobzybaby welcome and so sorry for all your losses. Praying that there's light at the end of the tunnel and it's not too far away.

Funkyemzie · 02/07/2018 17:26

@lilimum4 I know, the only other day I think is a might is 6dpo but stopped using OPK's so not sure. The dtd isn't really too much of an issue but I wasn't expecting so early so couldn't make anymore of an effort around that time.

@bobzybaby you are more than welcome on this thread, I'm not overly active on here but reading everyone's stories you realise that we have all been through some horrific times. My love to you sweet, you're in the right place!

Bobzybaby · 02/07/2018 17:18

Hey everyone! Newbie to this post (sooo needed for me!). I also don't quite understand all the abbreviations yet so bear with me!

I'm 35
TTC #1
Have had 3 miscarriages and 1 ectopic
Took a break and got biopsies done at Warwick & Coventry Hospital. Started Cyclogest last cycle but negative test. Due to start my second round this week!! Ovulating at the mo! I'll need steroids when I conceive.

I'm fairly new to MN but already feeling less alone on this journey!

Lilimum4 · 02/07/2018 17:13

@Funkyemzie wow I looked at your chart can't see another, but then I've only started temping myself this month but I'm amazed I thought I o'd early at cd11 you don't even get one day to relax lol

Funkyemzie · 02/07/2018 17:10

Yeah that's a great idea!!! Love that!
