Who’s trying SMEP this month?

Support thread for those giving smep a go this month! I’m CD6 so going to start soon. All fingers crossed that this works for us all this month.
Debating whether to buy CB OPK or just stick with IC - might do IC until around FW and then see if I can find a few old CB lying around to confirm a positive.
Anyone else giving this a go?

Sorry you've had one too @Firsttimer16 I'll try not to panic if ovulation doesn't happen at the usual time then. I have PCOS and used to just have anovulatory cycles. Now that I've been ovulating regularly, I'm terrified of my body just going back to be being anovulatory!

@BeeKeeping yayyyyy so many congrats!!! This is great.

@NoseringGirl I had a cp cycle before last and started bleeding about 4 days after Af was due, then I ovulated a week late, and Af also arrived a week late. I was despairing by about cd24 when I still didn't have a positive OPK but then it suddenly arrived. My luteal period was th same so Af was then "late" and I had a longer cycle. Cycle after that was back to normal.

Hope you're feeling better now @TheMagicTorch! Sorry to hear about your chemical as well but glad it didn't delay ovulation. My bleeding started 2 days after AF was due so hopefully won't delay things either.

@NoseringGirl Oops! 😂 I had a chemical Cycle 3 (started bleeding same day as AF was due) and used OPKs for the first time Cycle 4 and ovulated CD14 as I suspected so hopefully you'll still be in sync!
Nothing yet, still a static smiley this morning - should have BD last night on CD10 but was ill and in bed asleep by 8.30pm so missed it!

I was trying to say that I'm not sure if last cycle's chemical will make this cycle wonky. I've done far too much googling and there's loads of difference answers. Hoping it won't effect things! Have you got anything showing in your OPKs yet?

@TheMagicTorch I’m on cycle 3 of trying so very lucky. First try at SMEP 🙌🏻 Bring on all the BFPs! I’m definitely going to keep hanging about to see you all get yours 🐝xx

We're trying SMEP again this month @TheMagicTorch, I'm CD7 today but will be away from DH over the weekend so not a great start! Going to start OPKs on Monday when I'm back.

BFP!! At 12dpo, it’s quite strong so probably could have been testing from 8dpo. First baby so very nervous! Hooray for SMEP!

Sorry to hear that @winterwarmers.. it’s so hard to know whether to test early or wait for AF... you know what they say... you’re not out till the red lady sings! You might just have ov’d late? Or implanted late?

I’m 11DPO and trying to stay strong! 💪🏻 🐝x

@TtcIAm I don't remember with DC2, I think it might've been with an internet cheapie. The chemical last cycle I got negative on the FRER at 10DPO and very faint positive on FRER and internet cheapie at 12DPO.

12 dpo af hasn't arrived yet, i think i ovulated really late at night as i have ov pains at 10pm

Thanks for the info @noseringgirl and @firsttimer16 it is confusing as hell and a late period fills you with so much hope... Ha ha.. I am not stressing though it will happen when it is supposed to....

@dee7409 yes I believe your luteal period stays the same (time between ovulation and Af). I ovulated a week late the other month and Af arrived exactly a week late too.

@dee7409 I always think there is hope until AF shows. I didn't get a positive until 13DPO with DS2 (my chart wasn't overly clear though so not 100% sure on that) and didn't get a clear one until 12DPO last cycle though that sadly ended in a chemical.
