Anyone else waiting to test?

I'm 8DPO today and am probably going to test on Thursday (trying to hold off until then anyway!)
Anyone else planning to test around that time? I have a 10 day LP so testing then should give me warning about whether AF is coming or not.
I'm obsessively symptom spotting even though I'm aware that pre AF symptoms and pregnancy symptoms are pretty much the same at this point.
It'll be DC3 for us if all goes well but I'm still just as excitable TTC this time around Blush

sorry it's not your month, @doglady28, but I reckon tracking for a couple of months to see what's what is not such a bad thing. You're so soon off the pill. I hope you don't have to wait too long.

@changingagain, I'm getting dreadful line eyes! I really can't tell. The way you are feeling is the way I'm feeling though - I reckon you're still in the game; test again in a few days.

Changingagain · 21/06/2018 08:33

I've had to download it from another thread and reupload it so don't know what the pic quality will be like. I thought I could just about see the faintest of lines despite only managing to get a little pee on it but, TBH l can't see one on the photo now I look at it again.

Do you have a photo mostimproved?

Anyone else waiting to test?
NoseringGirl · 21/06/2018 08:29

Definitely out, full blown AF

Sorry for the BFN @Doglady28!

Hope those other faint squinters become blazing BFPs! Thinking liney thoughts for you!

Thanks everyone! I'm actually ok with it. I'm not disappointed because I didn't expect to get pregnant quickly. Xxxx

mostimproved · 21/06/2018 08:23

@NoseringGirl oh no, I guess you aren’t quite out until you get a ‘proper’ AF though.

@Doglady28 sorry for the BFN - at least you can enjoy your weekend and have a few drinks if you want to. I have found having a couple of months worth of data helpful as I am more aware of ovulation now than I was on my first cycle.

@Changingagain I’m in the same boat this morning - think I can see something on the IC I did this morning but DP couldn’t see it, it’s so frustrating! Post a pic if you like!

I’m on CD28, 11 or 12 dpo and no AF yet which is a long cycle for me. I feel so sick - the last few days it was a kind of seasick feeling but now it’s like a full blown I’m-about-to-puke feeling, so if I’m not pregnant I must have a bug or something! Still dizzy and can’t face sweet food at all which is not normal for me especially before AF. I’m just so confused! If it is BFN then where is my period, and if not then why haven’t I got a stronger line by now?!

Tinker315b · 21/06/2018 08:00

@Doglady28 Sorry about the bfn, Just make sure to track cm and temp so you can see when ovulation is happening! Good luck x

@Changingagain Share it if you have a pic and we can have a look x

Changingagain · 21/06/2018 06:26

Sorry doglady hopefully next month. When I came off the pill to TTC ds, my cycles were all over the place.

I thought I had the faintest of faint lines this morning but DH insists there was nothing there.

Doglady28 · 21/06/2018 06:20

Morning all.
Well just did a test and it's a BFN for me.
I didn't expect it to be a BFP with it being first cycle and the fact that I can't even be sure I ovulated.
Just need AF to come now so I can track my cycle. Only came off the pill 6 weeks ago, had a period 2 weeks later but in fairness that may have not even been anything other than withdrawal bleed, if it was a real period then I'm currently 3 days late.

Did anyone else find it took a while for their cycle to return to normal? My cycle used to be 28 days but I guess time will tell.
I'm away in London this weekend seeing foo fighters so I'm going to enjoy myself, put it out of mind and hope AF arrives after the weekend if it doesn't come before!!!!

Good luck to everyone else 😘😘😘

mumontherunnn · 20/06/2018 23:52

Thanks!

I think it's tougher next time round, first time are full of hope and excitement. Second time you know just how hard it is and how horribly it can go wrong.

Any way enough about that! I said I would be more positive so I am :) I'm going to try and hold out till AF is due but chances are slim, if I make it to the weekend I'm doing well Grin

NoseringGirl · 20/06/2018 23:50

Spotting! That's me out for the month, I knew I shouldn't have got my hopes up.
Definitely waiting until I'm late to test next month (even now I don't believe that).

NoseringGirl · 20/06/2018 21:47

Definitely room for you @mumontherunnn
I've had rocky roads with TTC both my two and having the support on online forums got me through. I still speak to my TTC group from when we were trying for DS2!
It's so hard not to obsess and I find when you've done it all before, it's easy to fall right back into it. I was saying to DH the other day that the first 6 months are usually fun and I enjoy all the testing, tracking and counting down. It gets a lot harder after that though.
Wishing you an easier path to that BFP this time!

Ladies - room for one more?
I am about 8 dpo and although I promised myself I would stay away from the internet, apps, poas etc ..... I have failed!
I have every app known to man and I have just rtft here.

I am ttc2 on cycle 3. DD1 took a year with quite a rocky road so I promised myself I would be more chilled out this time - again - fail!!

Last time I was in touch with a lovely group of ladies and we all had roughly the same 2ww and got each other through the hard times and the obsessions and the line eyes. It is such a big help.

Like pp said, I just read through previous posts too (under a different name) and I forgot how heartbroken and hopeless I felt last time. I really don't want to go back to that dark place.

Fingers crossed for everyone waiting to test!!

NoseringGirl · 20/06/2018 19:13

TTC takes over any rational part of your brain. When I'm talking to other people I can easily tell them how testing early just leads to stress, symptoms before AF or BFP are fairly similar so symptom spotting is a bit pointless, google won't tell you if you're pregnant etc etc. When it comes to me during the two week wait, it all goes out of the window and I become a full on testing, symptom spotting, googling crazy person.
This is my 3rd time TTC. I've been the same every time! I've just given into it now Grin

OP posts:
ladycarlotta · 20/06/2018 19:00

mine have been super sore since 5dpo, which is definitely really unusual.

I'm expecting AF as have kind of stabby sharp cramps, but torturing myself by googling 'cramps before BFP' and other ridiculousness. I am an intelligent person, I don't know why I do this to myself.
Good luck with testing tomorrow! xx

Doglady28 · 20/06/2018 18:48

@ladycarlotta mine feel massive and tender too. But I'm thinking it's just AF?
Although I'm now late 🙈
Will be testing with an IC in the morning xx

ladycarlotta · 20/06/2018 14:39

@beekeeping your OH sounds adorable. That's very sweet.

I haven't tested today - feel a bit periody, and CM is very very slightly pink when I wipe, so I'm going to wait it out a few days to see how it goes. Seems silly to waste a test when AF might confirm quite soon.

My tits are still super painful though!! Why on earth is that?!

Changingagain · 20/06/2018 14:33

Oh I am a POAS addict lol, I hate to think of the amount I spent in the 12 months TTC Ds. I'll get some of them if this month isn't the one then as I'm struggling not to test now, a few months down the line and I'll be using loads.

NoseringGirl · 20/06/2018 14:28

@Changingagain they're internet cheapies. The little strip tests that you can buy in bulk for not much money. I usually get a few of them in the packs of OPKs I buy. They're meant to be very sensitive but in my experience can be hit and miss. I was still getting quite faint lines on them when I was getting strong lines on regular tests in my last pregnancy. They're useful to have if you're a POAS addict and don't want to spend a fortune on tests!

He sounds very supportive beekeeping

I've just gone and bought some FRER in my lunch break and will try and resist using one until the morning too bloody expensive to waste. What are the IC s that keep being mentioned?

mostimproved · 20/06/2018 13:08

@NoseringGirl I have one IC and two FRERs - if I don't get AF tomorrow then I think I am justified in breaking open a FRER. I need to know before Saturday as I will be out for dinner and it is very unlike me to refuse a glass of wine!

@BeeKeeping I like the analogy, will keep it in mind if I need some cheering up this month!

NoseringGirl · 20/06/2018 12:57

Your husband sounds lovely @BeeKeeping! The journey is definitely a lot easier when you're sharing it with someone supportive. All the best for your next cycle!

@mostimproved I think I'll probably just do another IC but may also do a FRER depending on the result/how obsessive I'm feeling Grin how about you?

I'm still feeling really sick and dizzy but am getting some cramping now as well. Still swinging wildly between being hopeful and just thinking I'm ill as well as about to get AF.

OP posts:
Avlev · 20/06/2018 11:35

Hey @BeeKeeping what a lovely DH you have there. I like his analogy. Very apt. Good luck and baby dust for next month

mostimproved · 20/06/2018 10:34

@NoseringGirl yep that looks suitably confusing - I'm seeing lines on everything so can't even tell anymore, but hopefully you get a better one tomorrow - are you going to do another IC tomorrow?

BeeKeeping · 20/06/2018 10:24

Congratulations for those with clear bfp and tentative congratulations for all the squinty squinters!

I had a snowy white bfn and some spotting so I think at 13dpo I can bow out. My husband said lots of encouraging things this morning and is determined to make next month count so that’s good news!

He had a funny analogy about being on ‘a journey’. I rolled my eyes and said I don’t want to be on a bloody long journey! But he went on to explain that yeah, it is a bit of a shit journey actually; where the car is too hot, and the radio won’t play, there’s loads of traffic, smoke coming out of the bonnet, and we missed the bloody turn off again.....

But we always enjoy going places together. And we get to watch love island on the way 😂

He has a way with words... not! But it did cheer me up.

Hope to catch up with you lovely ladies next month? If anyone else is still waiting. 🐝x

Tinker315b · 20/06/2018 10:21

Thank you everyone, just stay positive and each month AF arrives your still a month closer to AF! So a 10 day LP is perfectly fine Smile x
