I'm ok! I'm in fertile week but my temps are a bit over the place but I'm trying not to read much into it! :)
Having a night off from DTD, it's just too hot!! Grin

CritterTamer · 27/07/2018 19:04

Hi @Crivit

I had a HSG a few months ago (and yes it hurt like hell). My clinic had no problem at all with us continuing to TTC during that same cycle. Hope this helps you 😊

mellongoose · 27/07/2018 19:00

We've all gone a bit quiet. I'm hoping everyone is coping well and being gentle with themselves. Sending energy to you all x

crivit · 27/07/2018 15:38

Been a while since I've been in the thread and I see that it's been a busy one!

I've been struggling with anxiety (about work mainly) so I've been shuffling about in RL rather than poking the internet a lot. I'm trying to get my positivity back so I shall send some towards everyone in this thread as well :)

Returning to the subject of poking... I had the joys of a HSG yesterday morning. That chuffing smarted. Didn't swear though Halo The question rolling around in my head is... Do my partner and I still TTC this month or hold off until my next cycle? There doesn't seem to be a consensus even within the NHS. My hospital said wait until next cycle but reesearch shows a fairly even split in trusts that I've seen between saying nothing about it, saying wait until next cycle and saying just no unprotected sex before the procedure but can crack on afterwards. How very helpful bangs head up wall

I see Ubiquinol has been mentioned on this page. I started on 100mg a day and then up to 200mg but have recently (2 - 3 weeks ago) gone up to 300mg as well as starting a form of DHEA. Only on about 13 tablets a day overall though so not quite rattling yet Grin

MATTSMAMMA · 26/07/2018 23:09

Hi everyone Smile. Definitely gonna give the ubiquinol a go.

APPLE - how are you? Keeping everything crossed for you Smile

Mixed emotions here Confused. After resigning myself to the fact it’s not ever going to happen I got a very (almost
invisible) line on a frer after being one day late. Allowed myself to stupidly get a little excited and tested this am and the line was fractionally darker but AF arrived about 30
seconds later Sad. Definitely not implantation bleed either. Bugger SadSad

I should really take steroids at ovulation as I have on previous advice been told I have high killer cells (which can fluctuate) but don’t really want to to do that every month on the very slight off chance of being Pregnant but I’m sort of torn between wondering if the chemical is age related now or could it be killer cell related- oh what to do?!!

Chatbash72 · 26/07/2018 19:54

@Hobbes39 I know you are harsh on yourself about the "ideal" age gap between you little one and ttc but my bro arrived when I was 14... I have a gap of 10 years with mine although diff dads and I have friends with 5 year plus gaps.. having had my youngest just finish his reception year I'm kinda glad I had no distractions so I could attend all meetings and parent bits for him.. try and not put to much pressure on yourself and enjoy that first year.. xx

CritterTamer · 26/07/2018 15:18

@Chatbash72 I take 300mg per day and know of people on the infertility boards who have been advised by their consultants to take that much. Mine was also fine with it when I told him. I don’t think it can really harm you - it’s produced naturally in the body and is converted to other forms if not needed - all it does is give you more energy and act as an antioxidant 😊

Chatbash72 · 26/07/2018 08:47

Well it all seems quiet on here at the mo, but let's hope the hot weather doesn't disrupt the evening action for a couple of you.. glad DH's back is better @Hobbes39. I have great niggling on the R ovary side.. lots of ewcm and trying to manage every other day to dtd, where normally I would be stressing about dtd every day.. my ubiquinol has arrived.. they suggest 100mg per day but some of you have said 200mgs... advice please? X

Hobbes39 · 25/07/2018 19:40

Hi all - ooh - that's great news Apple! Fingers crossed for the next few weeks Smile!
Had an emotional day today, my DS has his last day at nursery - starts school soon... I never thought that we'd get to him leaving nursery and he would still be an only child... it just really got to me today. Ug.
On a brighter note, DH is slowly recovering from his bad back and may be ok to DTD...Grin it's been weeks now... here's hoping we don't damage it again! Blush

MATTSMAMMA · 24/07/2018 21:48

Fingers crossed APPLE!! xx

mellongoose · 24/07/2018 21:09

@Letsdothis42 thanks for that clip, it really made me smile. How absolutely brilliant for them! The bit that made me smile the most is that he is 52. I worry enough about my age, but DH is 48...a young, fit and healthy 48 with boundless energy...but still 48.

@Apple04 have everything crossed for you. Really hope this is it for you.

Thinking of you all, ladies. We had our honeymoon last week but the timing was off. This week to the weekend will be the time to dtd. However, we both relaxed and feel happy so fingers crossed for a happy egg and lots of healthy swimmers!

Alibaba2 · 24/07/2018 18:23

I’m with you Mimosa!

littlemimosa · 24/07/2018 13:46

Ooh Apple, fingers crossed this is it for you 🤞 Congratulations!

Ali - thanks. I’m having a break over the summer. We are a bit over ttc but not giving up completely.

Angelbabyollie · 24/07/2018 10:41

@Apple04 fantastic news xxx

Orchid222 · 23/07/2018 23:01

@Apple04 this is fantastic!!!
@BooseysMom glad you are feeling more positive and good news about DH change of career direction.
@Alibaba2 that makes sense have rellies in Switzerland time scale sounds about right.. x

Alibaba2 · 23/07/2018 22:23

Chat - yes that’s normal for a Woods order. It comes from overseas, possibly Switzerland. Sorry about your testing palaver.

Hi Mimosa! Glad everything has gone back to normal cycle-wise and hope you get your mojo back.

BooseysMom · 23/07/2018 22:01

Matts, Critter, Little & Lets..thank you all so much for your heart warming msg's and kindness.
Matts..i feel we're on the same page with ttc as in feeling it's just not going to happen. But still something keeps on at me to keep trying.
Little. .funny you should mention turmeric. I've got Jamie's Superfoods book and it features in there. I used it in the fish curry recipe . Didn't realise that it was anti-inflammatory so thanks for the tip. DH has stomach probs and so anything to reduce reliance on pills has got to be good.
He's feeling loads better since he was told to stop taking the antibiotics or donkey pills! The docs are now saying it isn't actually pleurisy but acute inflammation of the ribs brought on by physical exertion..ie. His job! He's decided this is the push he needs to do the teaching he's been working towards. So feeling more positive now. I do appreciate having you all to turn to in such times. Thank you xx

weasledee · 23/07/2018 21:29

Apple this is amazing news!!! We're going to need a picture as we get excited about pee sticks!!!!
Congrats Smile

Apple04 · 23/07/2018 21:08

Hi. This thread moves so fast! Thank you all for the good advice on ivf. We decided that we would go for it after two more cycles. Our lives are very stressful just now and I was worried about adding more stress with ivf. However, as of an hour ago I am hoping it won't be needed as I just got a squinter of a bfp at 12dpo!! 5th positive pregnancy test and we are ttc our first. Its early days and I have significant risk of mc so not getting my hopes up. Just aiming for next weekend to start with!

Chatbash72 · 23/07/2018 08:09

Ooh @Letsdothis42 thank you I needed to see this.... on low days it's hard to believe... 💕

MATTSMAMMA · 23/07/2018 07:32

Littlemimosa - thank you x. I’m certainly going to look at that website and interesting about the turmeric as I do have some other issues that could help with.

Letsdothis. I remember seeing that lady and had forgotten - its hard to remain positive sometimes but yes your right- it can and does happen Smile

Letsdothis42 · 23/07/2018 01:37

@Chat sorry to hear of the BFN Sad thinking of you

@Booseysmum ... sorry to hear of the unwell DH and struggles you are having, please don't give up hope I was watching this ...

and if she can do it I feel there is hope for everyone of us!

littlemimosa · 22/07/2018 20:26

Oh Booseys and Matts- hope you’re both ok. I hear you, I really do. I know I keep harping on about it but FertileHeart (website) and her books is really helping me cultivate some positivity and to ward off fears about my age.
Booseys- i’ve had pleurisy a couple of times so I feel very sorry for your DH. It’s awful. What I do know with me is that stress can bring it on/make it worse and that rest, sleep, de-stressing and eating lots of anti-inflammatory foods helps. Turmeric is amazing and you can get capsules now to take so you don’t have to sprinkle it over all your meals. Of course ibuprofen is great too but I try to steer clear of relying on it too much. Hope he recovers quickly hun.

CritterTamer · 22/07/2018 20:17

@BooseysMom I’m so sorry to read this, I hope your DH is recovering well and you are both looking after each other xxx
