Good luck for tomorrow Critter. Everything crossed for you. I’m back on the vits after Turkey hols and have ordered the ovusense monitor - it was dispatched today 🤔😳 FeelIng hopeful - and hanging on to the testimonies which seem very positive 🙏🏻 Have to try something new! Let’s see what happens - it wasn’t cheap but neither was the £1000 on TCM which I’m sure F&cked up my cycle 😬 x

Orchid222 · 14/06/2018 21:57

Critter- good luck tomorrow, you're nearly there! Keeping everything crossed for you xx
Chat- I had no idea! I'd never think nail varnish had any effect on fertility. Boo, I always have my toes painted in the summer...

BooseysMom I'm third oldest, but if 007 and Mrs 007 ( gorgeous Danial and Rachel) can get preggo there is still hope..
CritterTamer although not had all your poor injections my R ovary feels like it's about to go pop.. big hugs
Have you ladies looked at chemicals.. as in reduction of.. I looked at nail varnish and the horrors that it contains and the possible effect on infertility, stopped wearing it there and then.. 😱 with the exception of body shop varnish as it doesn't contain the real nasties.. or vegan varnish.. ( Holland and Barrett) But only on my toes..

CritterTamer · 14/06/2018 21:34

Going in for 9.30. I think the procedure only takes around 30 minutes but won’t be allowed to go home for an hour or two after. Will let you guys know how it went when I get back 😊

shinyblackdog · 14/06/2018 21:26

Hang on in there "Critter*, we're all rooting for you. Hope it goes well tomorrow, what time are you going in? Does it take long?

CritterTamer · 14/06/2018 20:42

Hi all, hope everyone is doing ok tonight 😊

I’m feeling really poorly from the HCG shot, and in a lot of ovary pain (they’re so big I can feel them through the skin Of my tummy) just having to lie in bed right now and look forward to my daily Love Island fix to take my mind off it at 9 o’clock!

Super nervous about tomorrow but also can’t wait to get rid of these follicles now it’s sooooo uncomfortable. Sorry for the moan -DH is fed up of me and gone to play his xbox in disgust lol.

Hope youre all having a better even8ng than me xxx

BooseysMom · 14/06/2018 18:51

Critter. .that's great news about your follicles!

Sparkly ... Wow! Congratulations. .a baby girl is fantastic!

Shiny: love a list too being an admin bod! It's a great list i must say except for the fact i'm the 2nd oldest here!! And i'm always too scared to try too hard ..although i am taking folic acid just in case!

Cleozeta · 14/06/2018 09:35

Sparkly - thank you for sharing, it does give us hope. And congratulations Smile

Critter - how exciting! Fingers crossed for you. If it works I'm jumping on that ship!!!

Mimosa I am really tempted by the vitex I just worry about overloading. But I guess it wont hurt. Thinking of going back to TCM in september too.

Orchid yes it is zita west book. Not read much more this week as ds has been off school with chicken pox, going to read some more next week. I'll let you know if I come across anything interesting!

Orchid222 · 14/06/2018 08:37

Critter what's another few weeks in comparison to months and years of ttc? 😀

OP posts:
CritterTamer · 14/06/2018 08:05

So the trigger shot was a large dose of HCG, and this morning I have morning sickness LOL. I suppose it’s good practice 😊
@Orchid - don’t start holding your breath yet - will be a good while before a test yet. IF any embryos result from the EC tomorrow it will be 3-5 days before transfer and then another 16 days after that test date 😔

Orchid222 · 13/06/2018 23:23

Good for you Critter. I think we'll all be holding our breath until you're ready to test :)
Cleo-any other tips from your fertility diet book? Is it zita west's one?

OP posts:
littlemimosa · 13/06/2018 23:00

Well done Critter. Relax now x

Ali yes Vitex is the same.

Cleo - not felt any of its effects yet. Apparently it takes a good while to work.

CritterTamer · 13/06/2018 22:32

Trigger shot done 😁 Looking forward to a day without injections tomorrow!

Alibaba2 · 13/06/2018 22:27

Sounds promising Critter - good luck!

Congrats Sparkly.

Is Vitex the same as agnus castus?

Orchid222 · 13/06/2018 22:11

Thanks Critter and Shiny but looking at our list almost everyone here is just as brave and inspirational, yourself included Shiny! So many mc's yet everyone is still here and trying, that's pretty amazing. We are a strong bunch, let's hope our efforts pay off soon!
Weasle-that is so weird, why on earth would you do something like that?!
Sparkly-congrats! All the best for the next 20 weeks x

OP posts:
shinyblackdog · 13/06/2018 21:47

Weasle even more bonkers! What is wrong with these people??

shinyblackdog · 13/06/2018 21:45

Chat your sister sounds bonkers!

weasledee · 13/06/2018 21:43

Oh chatbash I can beat that one! Someone at work signed the Christmas cards with said babies name 3 months before due date!!!!! Infuriated me!

shinyblackdog · 13/06/2018 21:15

Sparkly, massive congrats - is this your first? (Don't worry, I'm not going post another list!).

Orchid, agree with Critter, you're inspirational.

Thanks Critter, I'm sure your trigger will be fine, you've had loads of practice the last couple of weeks. Follicles sound great.

I just take multivit, 100mg B6, 100mg ubiquinol and folic acid - probably doesn't even touch the sides.

Chatbash72 · 13/06/2018 21:14

shinyblackdog at my sisters she announced the baby name and kept referring to her by name.. Christ I nearly melted down... the name thing before it's born gives me heeby jeebies... I always do a gift to
Big congrats sparklyglitterball glad all is well..
big big hugs Orchid222 💕💕

littlemimosa · 13/06/2018 21:11

Sparkly congrat!! Such great news. I don’t mind you posting it gives me hope.

Cleo - I actually don’t have an oap pill organiser but I could do with one lol.

Interesting talk about ubiquinol. I think I’ll get some 300 pills next jar.

Critter - be brave, take a deep breath and just do it. It could be the start of your future child’s journey to you:-)

Orchid - grieve as much as you need to. We’re all here for you.

weasledee · 13/06/2018 21:08

Critter I'm so excited for you, Friday is so close!!

Baby showers are weird, it's like "I'm having a party, bring me a present?!?!?" I never had one for my DC and like someone else posted, it's really tempting fate....

Congratulations sparkly fantastic news that gives us all hope! x

CritterTamer · 13/06/2018 20:48

@Sparklyglitterball - congrats! So happy for you xxx

@Orchid - you’re such an inspiration - I can’t believe how strong and positive you are being whilst going through this. I’m sure I will descend into a pit of despair if/when this IVF cycle fails! I will be thinking of your bravery to keep me going 😊

CritterTamer · 13/06/2018 20:44

@Cleozeta - i did some research on unbiquinol and what I found said that the evidence for improved egg quality was that it happened at a dose of 600 per day. I take a 300 pill twice per day.

@Shinyblackdog - awesome list - really good job 😊

I’m currently crapping myself about doing the trigger shot later - so scared I’m going to mess it up and only have the one lol. It’s due at 10.30 😳

sparklyglitterball · 13/06/2018 20:41

Hi ladies, just to update re our scan yesterday. All was well, and we're expecting a girl SmileI wasn't sure if it was appropriate to post, as I know some of you are feeling a bit fed up with ttc at the mo. But it might just help spread some hope from another over 40 who took a relatively long time to to conceive!
