Matts I do that with tests too.
Orchid yes fingers crossef for that!
Ali that is a lot of times to go through that, are you being checked over for it? What have the docs said?
Critter lol at your documentary! Funny the things that get us

KeepingTheFaith9 · 01/07/2018 13:53

Hello lovely ladies. Just checking in. Critter totally rooting for you for Tues, and knowing that whatever the result - you have a few more chances (obvs hoping this is the one tho!) The things we do to scrutinise symptoms and tests is quite astounding but I’m glad we are all in the same boat!
Regarding Jools Oliver, good on her for trying for #6 at 43 (gives me hope!) and she has talked about her 2 miscarriages in the past, so clearly it’s not all been a walk in the park (she had a MC @ 12 weeks) 😥
Wishing love and light to you all on this sunny day! 🌞😊🌞 x

CritterTamer · 01/07/2018 13:48

Matts - talk about an emotional minefield - I’m sitting here crying my eyes out over a David Attenborough documentary about dinosaurs and birds - WTF???

weasledee · 01/07/2018 13:14

Matts I smiled when I read your post! I too think I can see lines that arent there! I have actually taken frer's apart in the past!!! I feel the same, the couple of days before AF are sometimes worse than once it's arrived....
5 DPO here....

Alibaba2 · 01/07/2018 13:07

Cleo, AF finally arrived Friday late afternoon. I had another CP in April. Had about 4 or 5 now.

BooseysMom · 01/07/2018 12:59

Matts... Ha! I do exactly the same. ..pulling tests out the bin hours later just in case..crazy!!
Orchid. ..my ds's best friend's mum has just had her 3rd and i'm totally with you. .i find it so difficult that sometimes i just try to get away so i don't have to see the wee 6 week old baby girl. When i do talk to her i'm fighting the tears. Dear god it's so hard!

Orchid222 · 01/07/2018 12:12

Good luck on Tuesday Critter!
And yes pregnant women everywhere...a mum at my ds's nursery just had a baby and brought it in the other day so I had to congratulate first her then her husband end if was so hard to be smiling at that wee baby all along wishing I had one too 😢
Cleo itd be great to have you as my IVF buddy but hopefully we'll both be pregnant before September 🤞

Morning ladies - CRITTER - that’s seems like the best way forward. The curiosity would be hard for me but then I know exactly what you mean about keeping the hope there. I keep thinking about you and will keep my finger crossed for you Smile.

Welcome ELOISA Smile. I also love the inspiring quote - just what I need at the moment.

Feeling very emotional AF due anytime now. I’ve tested already and so annoyed with myself for doing so. All bfn after scrutinising them and pulling them out of bins a few hours later etc etc FFS!! I swear I imagine lines then loom again later and don’t see anything!! I never learn - it really messes with your head does this ttc. I know I’ll be alright when af arrives but I’m a bit of an emotional minefield at the moment and yes it absolutely does seem like there are pregnant ladies everywhere and babies Sad. Really don’t know how much longer I can put myself through this xx

weasledee · 01/07/2018 11:59

Critter I get your reasoning and have everything crossed for Tuesday!!

Cleozeta · 01/07/2018 11:38

Critter there do seem to be more pregnant people around at the moment, I was wondering if it was me just noticing them more or if there really has been some kind of mass baby boom

CritterTamer · 01/07/2018 11:34

Cleo I know exactly what you mean about your body doing weird things to tease you - I feel exactly the same. My boobs are quite sore again today after that pretty much going away for the last 2 days but I’m so confused with the on/off stuff now that I just don’t know what to think anymore. Not letting it get my hopes up again now though it’s too exhausting! What will be will be on a Tuesday.

Just went shopping in a Sainsbury’s and everywhere I turned there was a pregnant woman or someone with a tiny baby - it just made me want to curl up in a corner and cry 😢

Cleozeta · 01/07/2018 10:14

Ali just rememberd you had a cp, is that 2 months in a row?? I loose track of everything going on! Is af here now?

Cleozeta · 01/07/2018 10:08

Ali are you currently late and haven't tested?
Critter, thats sensible and sounds like the right choice for you. I would just have no patience!! Fingers crossed af stays away.

My cramps seem to have gone today and we dtd last night which I hope hasn't affected things if it is implantation.
To be honest my body is always teasing me and doing weird things, so I'm not convinced anyway.

Boosey - interesting about Jamie Olivers wife, I love things like that, but 6?? Wow thats brave! Haha

Alibaba2 · 01/07/2018 08:56

I felt the same this week Cleo. AF was late so all looked good but wasn’t brave enough to test. Was also scared of getting a BFP as well as getting a BFN, if that makes sense! Just preferred to keep things open and let my body do the talking.

Good luck to you these next few days.

CritterTamer · 01/07/2018 08:53

Morning all, sorry to let you all down but I’ve decided not to test until Tuesday afternoon. Did a bit of soul searching last night and realised that a BFN today isn’t going to give me closure - I’m just be wondering ‘what if’ until OTD anyway and to be honest I think I’d feel worse than i do now. So decided to let nature take her course until Tuesday after work - if AF arrives before then so be it, if she doesn’t then I’ll be feeling that bit more positive about doing the test 😊

Fingers crossed they’re implantation cramps Cleo 🤞

BooseysMom · 01/07/2018 07:47

Welcome Eloisa.. Thank you for that lovely inspiring quote. ..
'when you think it's finished...sometimes that is just the beginning!'
I'm 46 and ttc no.2 and believe my prob is low ovarian reserve although my body is giving me full-on signals of ovulation every cycle. My hormones were tested a few weeks ago and were normal. I think also we haven't tried frequently enough. We have a ds who's 4.5 and i feel too exhausted! He's in our bed every night. .i co-slept and ebf right from the start. DS is adamant he wants to be an only..."no babies " he says!! So its difficult and we're resigning ourselves to it not happening.
Btw everyone.. did you see the news that Jamie Oliver's wife wants baby no. 6 at 43?!! No. 6 and we just want a 2nd!! I think like mentioned up thread the desire to have babies never actually leaves you until there's really no choice any more.
Critter...Good luck testing today. Thinking of you and blowing that magical dust your way!@ xx

Alibaba2 · 30/06/2018 22:17

I had awful cramps post-ov last cycle. Turns out it was implantation.

Cleozeta · 30/06/2018 21:30

Urgh, got AF cramps today, only 6dpo, I hope AF is not coming a week early, that would be sad.

Cleozeta · 30/06/2018 20:34

Critter I would test tomorrow, get any drama (unlikely scenario) out of the way while you have a day off then on Tuesday you will be prepared so bette do deal with things if it does not go well.

Hobbes, that is interesting about the unexplained thing. My friend was unexplained and she went through a fair few rounds of IFV before finally having a successful one, but it did work eventually. My reason for doing IVF is fully explained. It's age, and potential low egg supply.
Orchid - I'm thinking September too, as it'll be 3 months since mc and the children will be back at school. We could be IVF buddies!

Mimosa I hope you are feeling better about things today.

CritterTamer · 30/06/2018 18:47

@Hobbes39 - tomorrow will be 11dp5dt. No specific issues found except for short LP (10 days) and when we did an ultrasound earlier this year my lining was a bit thin at 6.8mm. No idea if it’s always that thin or if it was just that month but it was 9.5 for the IVF cycle so no problem there this time. All hormone tests etc were fine - it was put down to age/egg quality.

@Alibaba2 - nope no blood test they gave me a one step to do at home. Think they will do follow up blood tests if there’s a BFP.

I don’t have a FRER - no shops near me seem to sell them so all I have is the one step the clinic gave me and one of those crappy CB plus sign ones. Maybe 8 will use that tomorrow just to get it over with and save the one step for Tuesday.

Hobbes39 · 30/06/2018 18:35

@Orchid222 - is there any evidence that the high fertility 3 months after mc is true? I'd love to see it... for me so far it's not been but I'm still hopeful (even though I know last time I didn't ovulate the cycle after mc)

Alibaba2 · 30/06/2018 18:22

Critter - do you see the clinic for a blood test on Tuesday or did they ask you to test at home?

Alibaba2 · 30/06/2018 18:19

Hey Clara - nice to hear from you!

I have the book The Fertile Female - I did the visualisations and then had a near pregnancy straight away. But I like her approach.

Critter - go with what feels right and good luck!

Orchid222 · 30/06/2018 18:13

CritterI agree with Weasle, I'd also test tomorrow

OP posts:
Orchid222 · 30/06/2018 18:12

I've read that we have increased fertility for 3 cycles after a mc so that's what I'm giving myself, if I'm not pregnant by September I'm also going for ivf
