A thread for all those who have suffered the loss of a much wanted baby. Affectionately know as the penguin huddle.

We'll start with a roll call as there have been so many new members lately and so many success stories that I think we've all lost track.

So my hubby has come home from work and told me he's got this afternoon and tomorrow off. In the half hour of being home he's needed me to talk him through cooking his lunch, asked me if I've chosen a colour for the bathroom and told me that I'm going with him to get the paint this afternoon so he doesn't get the wrong one. He's also said we should go for a walk this afternoon and asked me about a new bathroom cabinet. I told him I didn't want him banging on about decorating all afternoon and his response was that he's just trying to get me out of the house. What part of rest does he not understand? He's now sulking in his man cave. Urgh!

@Murderino tbf apparently it's best not to wear underwear! Poor you though. Maybe it happened for a reason though and maybe you'll be tempted to go commando more often! Haha

Murderino · 14/06/2018 13:18

@RedRobin7 I'm with you, ordinarily I'd have run to primark to grab a pair but it's pay day tomorrow and having already been there earlier this week to buy shoes when I forgot them at the gym I thought I should just own it and save the pennies! It's actually quite liberating (don't worry- I'm wearing jeans, not about to flash everyone)

Perhaps the universe is telling me to stop going to the gym, yup - must be that! 😉

@Boboelephant stay positive- all signs look good, we can do it! I don't even have my pre-period spot on chin, surely that's as good as poas? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

DaisyMay25 · 14/06/2018 13:17

@Boboelephant I'm doing five 4:30 starts in a row, just two left! You best test as early as possible, I'll keep refreshing the page all morning 😂
Fortunately my body miscarried it naturally, it was only found at the scan after the mc that they spotted what was left in the tube.
That sucks that you can't get it on the nhs, doesn't seem fair! I met a woman today that it didn't work until the third time, my heart ached for her.

Boboelephant · 14/06/2018 13:11

Haha thanks @DaisyMay25! I don't envy you having to get up at 3:30am! Although I might be waking up at that point too. 😯 I want to temp first so will be trying to push sleep back til at least 5!
I forgot you had an ectopic too. Did yours rupture or did you take the tablets? I'm not eligible for IVF on NHS as I have DS so I do wonder if spending that sheer amount of money and then it not working might be too hard!

DaisyMay25 · 14/06/2018 12:48

@Boboelephant I'm up from 3:30 tomorrow so I'll be awaiting news of your test!

@zarala if I had the funds spare I'd be doing ivf. I've told DH if the next pregnancy is ectopic again we need to consider it because at least I'll know everything is in the right place. For ivf on nhs I'm a long way away. I'll be referred for tests in September and then it'll be a long way off that. Have you spoken to your gp about ivf? Also welcome to the tww

Boboelephant · 14/06/2018 12:43

@HidCat and @Lilimum4 thanks.
@Cakelaur, @zarala and @Unicornsandrainbows1 thankyou. Do you really thibk it's a good chart? I have no idea! I thought after the drop it would have to shoot up again to be implantation. Although I suppose that happened last month and wasn't good news so... @Cakelaur it helped to see that yours rose slowly again. I'm so glad all is well with you. @UnicornsandsRainbows1 I'm only 10dpo today so still a bit early.
@zarala thanks. I'm so grateful for everyone cheering me on but so scared how devastated I'll feel if it's not my month again. I think we will probably have a look at IVF. The docs are still very blase as from a medical standpoint I fell pregnant immediately with my DS and had a easy pregnancy and then fell immediately again first month trying with the EP. Although it took 9 months trying after that they say anything within a year is normal. They are using the latest pregnancy to prove that my remaining tube is fine as i can still get pregnant and the MC was just bad luck. It sucks that the clock resets itself! Fx it won't come too but think we need to be practical.
@KeefBurtain I agree. You must have a long surge. Ovulation should be today!
@Murderino haha that made me laugh! 😂😂😂
@KnitKitty thanks lovely. Yeah it's a new addition and so nice. We have a mentally draining job so it's great to recharge. I really appreciate my cheer squad. Just hope it pays off!!! Still undecided about tomorrow.

RedRobin7 · 14/06/2018 12:24

@Murderino I just burst out laughing at my desk at the thought of you forgetting your knickers!!! Thankfully my colleagues think I'm weird anyway and didn't ask me to explain the random outburst 😂 I probably found that funnier than it was - sorry! I definitely would have had to go home if I forgot mine.

HidCat · 14/06/2018 12:09

Thanks everyone. Having a chill out and catching up on some TV. Feeling a bit drained but otherwise ok.

@Cakelaur haha I’m the same, still love this thread! Don’t post as much now but I’m always here checking how everyone is doing 😬

@KnitKitty Fingers crossed you get it all figured out, that must be so confusing! Hope you’re alright 😊

@HidCat must have been such a scary experience! I’m glad everything is okay. Hope you’re feeling better soon Flowers

KnitKitty · 14/06/2018 10:32

Pampl3m0usse I'm so sorry you're going through the mill at the moment. Stress CAN be a big factor for illness, I think it causes something like 70% of illnesses and you have been through a lot recently so it's not surprising. I just hope they find out exactly what's going on and they sort you out ASAP so you can start to get some normality back.

Pancakes7 I'm glad you've been able to talk to your colleague about it all, it is helpful knowing someone else who's been through it too.

Boboelephant I wish I got to do meditation and reiki at work! That sounds great!
I totally understand if you'd rather wait to test a bit longer, like zarala said, I feel a bit guilty that we've all really built up this month for you, but we're here no matter what happens and we're all rooting for you, and hopefully this is your month.

Hidcat how horrible and stressful. I'm really pleased you've seen lovely professionals though, it does make a huge difference. I've always had lovely staff treating me in hospital. And I'm really pleased your work sound so supportive. Rest up and get well.

Cakelaur I'm really glad you're doing well, it gives me hope. I just found out this morning my cousin is 14 weeks pregnant. She lost a baby at 20 weeks a couple of years ago. She's had a couple of scans so far and everything is looking good, so I feel so, so happy for her and really feeling that blessings can happen. I really hope everything continues to go smoothly for you. Sorry you've still got the sickness, that must be hard to cope with, and don't panic once it disappears - that's what it's supposed to do. :)

Lilimum4 Thanks, I'm doing well today. It's my one day off this week so making the most of it and relaxing. How are you feeling?

Cakelaur · 14/06/2018 10:31

@Lilimum4 I'm so glad it brings hope. I want all of you lovely ladies to get bfps so bad! I can't keep myself from this thread. I've got everything crossed for all of you!!!

Cakelaur · 14/06/2018 10:30

@KeefBurtain I'd say that's positive.... go go go!!!

@zarala I was testing with IC and also with my CBAFM (it tests for ov and once you've got a peak it then starts testing for pregnancy) this was what picked up my first pregnancy at 10dpo. This time round you can see implantation dip (and I had some spotting) thought it was AF but it never got heavier and then I thought I'd messed up my whole cycle with using progesterone... turns out it was just a late implanter!! And then when my temp went up on cd15 I tested with frer. (I last tested in cd13) and my line was quite faint but definitely there. Most bizarre experience of my life! I was so sure I was out.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 14/06/2018 10:08

@Boboelephant Ooooooh it's still going up, how excitiiiing! Grin Grin Grin POAS! How many dpo are you now?

Murderino · 14/06/2018 09:55

I'm 💯% nervous energy right now. Was at the gym before work and forgot my knickers too so sitting commando at my desk wishing the next three days away...

I always miss people off when I reply so got my fx for all tww-ers and have a good feeling for those heading into July.

🌈✨🌈✨🌈✨🌈

zarala · 14/06/2018 09:36

@Pampl3m0usse ah I'm so sorry you have to go through this but good news that's it not an infection. Hope you get better quickly
@HidCat what a week you've had! Glad you have a couple days and the weekend to rest up!
@Boboelephant that chart though! 😍🤞🏽
@Pancakes7 seems we're def cycle twins as I woke up this morning at 4:30 with agonising UTI pains...🙄 that's what I get for TTC and not peeing directly after sex. Every time!
@Cakelaur it's really helpful seeing your graph. Just out of interest- When you were getting negative tests were you using FRERs? and on 15dpo?

I'm officially in my first ever TWW DPO1 today. Hoping these next 10 days fly by and that we get a flurry of bfps in the meantime (@Boboelephant I'm looking at you! - no pressure) IF things don't work out this month though I would seriously look into IVF - have you discussed this before? But basically all I'm saying is all hope is not lost if things don't pan out as we all think it will...I'm just aware we've really hyped up this month for you so I'm just trying to cushion the downside in the off chance.... 💕

KeefBurtain · 14/06/2018 08:53

Would you guys say this is a positive opk?

I got a positive on Tuesday night, it was still positive yesterday and this was this morning.

Bit confused

@ boboelephant fx, tx everything crossed for tomorrow x
@PassTheAfterEights thinking of you

All the tww' s I've not said good luck to 'good luck' and for those in FW have fun Wink.

Boboelephant · 14/06/2018 08:25

Oh @HidCat how scary!! I'm so glad it wasn't a blood clot or worse but I can't imagine what a stressful day that must have been! So glad they were so nice and supportive and brilliant that your work are also being great. Glad your DS is ok too! At least you can relax for today- it's always a bit hard to take care of yourself when you have a poorly child around too! Enjoy some rest and boxsets today!

Cakelaur · 14/06/2018 08:19

@Boboelephant oooh could be implantation dip. Mine did that too!! It's looking great. Plus you're still way above cover line!! Eek!!! Everything crossed for you for whenever you decide to test. I really hope the progesterone has worked!! 🤞🏻

@KnitKitty I'm good thanks for asking. Still really sick but hoping it will ease. I'm nearly 14 weeks, and just got the all clear for chromosome testing. I've managed to pick up the heart beat on a home Doppler which is a great reassurance and hoping I can start to relax a little soon. But who knows.

I'm trying to stay up to date with this thread!! But it moves so fast!!

Sorry to everyone having a shit time!! And 🤞🏻🤞🏻 to everyone testing... who's in for POAS Friday tomorrow??

HidCat · 14/06/2018 07:29

@Pampl3m0usse I'm so sorry Hun. I hope the scan appointment isn't too far away.

@PassTheAfterEights and @L1zz13 I hope you both have better days today. xx

@Boboelephant 🤞 for POAS stick Friday.

@KnitKitty I hope you're ok. Maybe an enforced relaxed month would be a good idea. Hide the tests etc and JKS, nothing else unless your period is late. Easier said than done though.
DS is ok thanks. He went back to school yesterday and I ended up going to the docs instead due to chest pain. Had to go to hospital as doc was concerned I was presenting symptoms of a blood clot and having been "recently pregnant" as she put it and family history I'm high risk for it. Luckily the staff were all really sensitive when asking about the miscarriage and TTC again, the consultant even ordered more tests to be sure she didn't miss anything as she was concerned what could happen if I get pregnant again and they missed it. Turned out to be asthma so have some steroids. Scary day. Every doctor / nurse I saw even commented on my horrible year and were all absolutely lovely. I'm so grateful to them for that after what some of you have been through. Plus I've been ordered to take 2 days off work to rest (by the Senior Managers).

Boboelephant · 14/06/2018 07:23

@L1zz13 I echo the others. Definitely stick around with us if it helps! 😀
@YellowDaffodils86 ahh I know!! I'm feeling myself turning crazy as well. I've been tossing and turning the last two nights and very aware of every niggle. Not sure I will test tomorrow, I'm so scared of it being a negative. I too seem to have heaps of cm. Tmi but always feeling a bit wet. I'm sure my nipples look different but not sure if that's wishful thinking!! 🤦‍♀️
@hayleyfx thankyou lovely!!!
@KnitKitty glad you're feeling ok hun. We do meditation at work on a Wed morn and yesterday did meditation and some reiki healing which was lovely and calming. She said the energy she was getting from me was pink flowers so of course I convinced myself that's a sign that I'm pregnant with a girl!! 😂🤦‍♀️ DH thinks I'm nuts. Feeling pretty nervous today so will make sure I do some yoga when DS is napping.
@BabynameEdie thanks lovely!! I hope so!!!
@Pampl3m0usse hope you got some good sleep. When are the scans booked? Hope your body has a good clear out and resets for next month.
@Pancakes7 hope the work trip is ok and UTI clears up. I found it helps alot to talk to others who have gone through loss too.
@Cakelaur ok here it is. Not sure if it's good or bad. Temp went down yesterday but up again slightly today. I have had some restless sleep. I just don't know!!

ek78 · 14/06/2018 07:11

@pample3m0usse Glad it isn't an infection but sorry you were at the hospital for so long. Can you take it a bit easy today?

Pancakes7 · 13/06/2018 23:34

@Pample3m0use So sorry you're going through this. Big hugs. I hope you start to feel better soon.

I am on my work trip up north. Actually going well so far. Getting along really well with my colleague who it turns out has been through 2 mc's. Finding talking to each other very helpful and just good to get things out. Missing my DH now as in hotel room on my own. Uti is on the mend but still not 100%. Hoping it clears up soon. Only have antibiotics for 3 days so finish them Friday morning.

Pampl3m0usse · 13/06/2018 23:16

Sorry too tir3e to reply personally as just home :( possible endometrial but not infection so they've booked scans as the same time as telling me it's unlikely to show anything except on my ovaries... possible stress (which I think is a convenient get out of jail card giv3n they know my circumstances. Still traces of uti issues and could just need a bloodbath of a period to clear out:( xxx
