🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧

A thread for all those who have suffered the loss of a much wanted baby. Affectionately know as the penguin huddle.

We'll start with a roll call as there have been so many new members lately and so many success stories that I think we've all lost track.

Age 35
TTC #2

MC at 11wks in January
Cycle 3 post MC, trying since August 2017

@Spooples welcome to the group, so sorry for your loss. We all understand how you're feeling and hope we can provide some comfort x

Spooples · 14/06/2018 21:47

Hi can I join?

I'm Sophie.
28yo.
No children.
I had a complete, natural miscarriage last weekend at 7 weeks exactly.
Haven't actively started ttc yet as still recovering but hoping to start again soon as feeling very lost and empty after the loss.
DH and I desperately want to concieve our first :(

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 14/06/2018 21:41

Whose testing tomorrow I'm 10po tomorrow so may risk it for a biscuit !

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 14/06/2018 21:34

@boboelephant I am ok thank you for asking, I've been reading a bit but needed to take a step back I've been consumed by ttc looking at opks, fertility monitors, progesterone etc I had a mini break down when one of my work friends announced she was pregnant by accident !!! That's when I realised I needed a step back for a bit ! Feeling hopeful.for this month but then I do most months haha !

Boboelephant · 14/06/2018 21:30

@MrsGS76 i ate the pineapple. I ate about a cup just from 1dpo to 5dpo. I just chopped a thick slice off each day.
@Jessabean thankyou. Enjoy your holiday- despite your book choices! Glad to hear that you're feeling more positive.
@BabynameEdie ahh I thought you had tested earlier! Now I am wondering if I should wait. Ahhhhhh!!!!!!! Will just have to see what I decide tomorrow!!!
@YellowDaffodils86 that is just the loveliest thing to say. What a gorgeous person you are. I'm literally overcome by your kindness xx
@hayleyfx everything crossed for you for Tuesday 🤞🤞

RedRobin7 · 14/06/2018 21:28

@MrsGS76 Haha it is very hard to be nice for a whole week 😂 My DH says the same after we've DTD about having 3wks off! I said if I conceive and we are successful then he can have a couple of years off 😂 He knows I'm only interested in one thing these days... baby! 🤷🏻‍♀️

@YellowDaffodils86 Oh that's good if you have things happening that you haven't before. Fingers crossed it's a sign! I'm sure if time went any slower it would stop! Today at work I saw another pregnant lady on the floor and I felt so sad but then thought this time next week I could be pregnant again and won't feel sad about other pregnant people so much. God if it's negative I think I'll want to set up camp in the toilets permanently just to avoid all the pregnant ladies in the office.

@Jessabean Thank you 😊 Hope you are feeling a little relaxed in the sunshine. Make the most of your holiday and hopefully when you return you will feel stronger!

hayleyfx · 14/06/2018 21:05

@Jessabean I’m alright thanks, 6+3 today, symptoms are starting to properly hit me now which I’m hoping is a good sign but who knows 🤞 got a scan on Tuesday at 5pm so I’m ridiculously scared, I’m desperate to see a little heartbeat so keeping everything crossed it goes well. I hope you’re doing okay with your month off and having a lovely holiday! 😊

To everyone testing soon, I’ve got everything crossed for you all!

YellowDaffodils86 · 14/06/2018 20:38

@Boboelephant i think its due tue/wed.
I reckon ill break over the weekend.
Thank you. However id happily trade mine for yours. Im sure i could possibly manage another month or two before i go completely loopy! You deserve a healthy sticky bean!

BabynameEdie · 14/06/2018 20:35

@Boboelephant normal to feel scared. Only test if you feel it's right for you, there's no pressure. Just lots of love!
If you're 11dpo tomorrow then it may not be positive anyway, I didn't get a bfp until 12dpo at 11.30pm, and that was a very very faint one 🤞🤞

Jessabean · 14/06/2018 20:32

@Boboelephant sorry for the rubbish reply. I'm ok thank you 🙂 Am on holiday at the moment and as I know this months out anyway am trying to use the time to just enjoy myself and not think about it all so much. Am feeling much more positive & happier. My choice of reading material hasn't been great though- first book the handsmaid tale (had heard everyone raving about the tv programmer but no idea what it was about!) & the second I'm on now is a woman dealing with the sudden desire to TTC 🙈 must have been my subconscious in action in waterstones pre holiday book shop!
Good luck tomorrow if you do decide to test! 🤞🍀 Keeping everything crossed for you but here if it's not the result you want 🐧 Your chart does look ace though! 🤞

@Pampl3m0usse @zarala & @HidCat sorry you guys haven't been feeling well. Hope you all make swift recoveries!

@KnitKitty having a month out may be really good- I'm definitely finding it therapeutic! Though at the same time can't wait to TTC again soon.

@Lilimum4 @sweetpea0318 sorry for the BFN's -hugs 🐧 -here's hoping July is the month!

@YellowDaffodils86 & @RedRobin7 good luck for the 2ww - stay strong! 💪 everything crossed for you both!

@Cakelaur glad everything is going well! Gives me hope! @hayleyfx how are you getting on? How far along are you now?

@strawberrye I hope you find the time to JKS! I can relate with the work struggles getting in the way of TTC it sucks!

Sorry anyone else I've missed - I've not been checking up regularly this week and by the time I've managed to catch up I forget who says what sometimes! 🙈

MrsGS76 · 14/06/2018 20:31

Hello all, been really busy but reading all the updates, good luck to those in the TWW ! I'm 4DPO, eating pineapple daily . Anyone else eating pineapple? And if so, how much ? It's quite fibrous!!

Sending hugs to everyone. AF due 25th but depending on any symptoms, I may test early!
All those in the DTD window, good luck with your DH's , I felt as though I had to be on my best behaviour for a whole week which was hard! It worked though as at the end of the week I told him he could rest for a while now and he replied by saying .. yeh for another three weeks! Fx though I get a BFP soon otherwise I've got to be on my best behaviour again!!!
Take care all xx

Boboelephant · 14/06/2018 20:14

@YellowDaffodils86 oh I hope it is a sign! I hope it's your month too. Good luck waiting until Tuesday! When is af due?
@HidCat glad you got it sorted and managed a nap. Haha enjoy your inhaler sex!
@RedRobin7 thanks hun x I don't feel pressured, I am feeling very supported by all of you lovely ladies. Just petrified of the disappointment! I hope you have positive news on Tuesday too!
Ahhh feeling so scared!!

YellowDaffodils86 · 14/06/2018 19:45

@RedRobin7 i have quite sore nipples and boobs a little tender, i dont think iv had this before. However trying to stop thinking it could mean anything.
I hate the tww, its such a head f**k!
I wish we could know ethier way straight away.
I agree with the rushing off to work thing, i usually test in the evening, i have a good bladder and naturally hold for a while.
My dh doesn't know when i plan to test ethier, i haven't said much about tww to him this time.

@KnitKitty 😂sounds like my dh

RedRobin7 · 14/06/2018 18:31

@HidCat Glad you sorted things out - it's frustrating when the OH just doesn't get it! Mine is often the opposite and would probably let me just sit on the sofa for the rest of my life and gather dust! Good to hear you're feeling up to DTD tonight. Fx for you!

@Murderino You're pretty safe in jeans! I'm always worried my primark work trousers are a little see through, even if they are black!!

@Boboelephant You are so sweet thinking about those who have been silent recently. I'm sorry if we have all put so much pressure on you to get a positive tomorrow. Regardless of the result, we are right behind you xx

@YellowDaffodils86 I've convinced myself I'm not pregnant today because I feel so normal! Although I know I didn't feel pregnant until my positive test. Still trying to prepare myself for a BFN so I'm not so distraught. My FRERs arrived today - hidden them in the cupboard and hope they'll stay there until Tuesday. My husband thinks he will be away from Tuesday with work so if I do get a positive I don't want to tell him and then for us both to rush off to work so I think I'll have to keep it a secret until he's back at the weekend. He doesn't know when I plan to test and knowing him has probably forgotten I'm in the TWW! But it'll prob be a BFN so won't need to worry!

@TedLife That's quite frustrating to go from a circle to a static smiley in the same day. Thankfully you retested! I have a flashing smiley for days before I get my static. So strange how our bodies differ so much!! Fx for you 😊

@KnitKitty How are you finding the Headspace App? The guys voice is so calming so I am actually listening to him and I think it's helping. I've almost managed to get through a very stressful week at work without feeling like there's a massive cloud over my head. I'm starting to feel more normal.

HidCat · 14/06/2018 18:11

@KnitKitty I agree, he just misread how I was feeling. We've had a good chat and sorted it all out and I'm feeling a bit better after my nap so hopefully we can get back to DTD tonight (inhaler first - so sexy lol). Can you tell the steroids have kicked in?

At least it's not just my hubby!

@Lovemysparkle yes hope all goes well for your wedding!

@zarala it just goes to show that sometimes our bodies will just do their own thing. I think even if we reach the point of giving up I'll just not bother with contraception and if it happens, it happens.

Good luck to everyone in the TWW!

Yaaaaaas! Had a big fat blank circle this morning and just tested now (6pm) and BAM static smiley! We dtd this afternoon already, fingers crossed!

TTC After Pregnancy Loss Thread 22.
Pancakes7 · 14/06/2018 17:50

@Zarala Oh not you too? I hope you're better soon. I only have one tablet left for tomorrow. Fx I'm cured. Hoping for both of us our ttc has paid off. Sending out positive thoughts for us both.

YellowDaffodils86 · 14/06/2018 17:28

@RedRobin7
Iv been going back and forth with myself about when to test, i want to try hold out to tue/wed.

@KnitKitty might not be the worst thing if you dont try this month, especially if you dont feel like it. Might be good to 'reset'
Yeah getting slightly impatient, but just trying to ignore it.

@BabynameEdie Hey, how are you!
Im trying to hold out till Tuesday.

@Pampl3m0usse hugs for you.

@Pancakes7 nice to be able to talk to people that understand.

@Boboelephant test when you are ready. When i was pregnant i ready being very wet the whole tww, so you never know, could be a sign.

Boboelephant · 14/06/2018 17:14

@zarala thankyou!! Yea it's a route I'd rather not go down as it would cause me so much stress I'm sure it wouldn't work! It doesn't escape my attention that the two times I fell instantly I was so laidback I was horizontal! Now I'm a little stressball and it's taking ages. Unfortunately I can't switch my mind off...hence the yoga and meditation this month! 9 times!!! That is insane. Glad they finally got their happy ending. Thanks for your support!
@strawberrye thankyou. I hope you're right!!! Hope work calms down soon and you get good timing for fw!
@KnitKitty haha maybe it's good practice for when you have a kid and never get to pee with the door closed ever again! 😉 you do wonder sometimes though don't you!? Mine has gotten much better but with very clear instructions! 😂

Was just thinking of some of the people we haven't heard from in ages...

@Lovemysparkle woohoo for your wedding day!! Is it this Sat??
@Lovewinemorethanhusband how are you going?
@rdm10 are you ok? Hope af stayed away!
@dulwichdays, @SerenaOverjoyed haven't heard from you guys for ages. How are you?? Where are you in cycle?

KnitKitty · 14/06/2018 15:01

Boboelephant He's like having a child around sometimes. The other night I said I was going upstairs for a few minutes to do some meditation (just using the basics from Headspace which are 3 minutes long...) He comes in to the room in the middle of it and starts taking the ironing board downstairs, then comes back upstairs and was doing something in the bathroom which involved him dropping something and shouting "shit!" I was giggling by this point because it was just so ridiculous. He couldn't have waited 5 minutes??? Men!!!

strawberrye · 14/06/2018 14:57

Hello everyone just popping in to say hi, working more horrible shifts this week so don't have time to send messages to everyone individually - but hugs to all you ladies having a tough time and hope time flies to those in the TWW! Personally I'm counting down to fertile window and hoping it falls after this set of horrible shifts because there is absolutely no JKS at the moment, we're not even in the house at the same times currently :(

@boboelephant I think your chart looks good, keeping fingers crossed for you but I have a good feeling this month is going to be your month!

zarala · 14/06/2018 14:42

@Boboelephant I didn't realise the nhs wouldn't consider someone for ivf if they managed to conceive a child already. Eugh.
Well I personally think ivf is a very stressful road to go down. As I mentioned before a couple of threads back- my boss and his wife did it 9 times and failed 9 times! And just as they decided to give up and adopt (literally about to sign adoption papers) she fell pregnant. And then they had a second child 3 years after that also naturally. So! Ivf can be a good option if it's not happening but also it's not the be all and end all.
As @Cakelaur said- our bodies are so mysterious and no matter what these doctors and specialists say they don't really understand fertility at all- it's all experimental.
Anyway I can imagine how nervous you are! Because I am also nervous for you and so want this to be your month!
Fx for you whenever you decide to test!
We're here for you cheering you on whatever happens 🙌🏽🧚🏼‍♀️

Boboelephant · 14/06/2018 14:37

@DaisyMay25 wow! Hope you get a sleep in on Sunday! Oh I'm glad for you that your body was able to do that naturally. I didn't even know that was possible with an ectopic. I hope you get your rainbow soon! And I hope I have some good news to share with you tomorrow!!
@Murderino oh I hope so!!! Fx for us!!!
@HidCat oh no!! Tell him to go out. You are definitely supposed to be resting! My DH sounds like that. I have to be very specific sometimes that rest involves NOT leaving the house! Bless them! Haha @KnitKitty 😂😂 Stands outside the toilet...
@Cakelaur oh I know. It's all so random. Ahh I really hope this is it though!!! 🤞🤞🤞

Cakelaur · 14/06/2018 14:18

@Boboelephant bodies are mysterious things. It took us over a year to first conceive our bub. We then lost it at 8 weeks, and then we caught again third cycle. I was convinced it would take longer. Strange how it's not just bloody simple. 🙈

KnitKitty · 14/06/2018 13:54

Aww Hidcat, it's annoying, yes, but I think it's just his way of showing he cares. My OH is a bit like that sometimes. He'll quite happily spend days on end tucked up in his man-cave and not going out, but if I don't do anything on my day off he worries about me, and tries to get me to do something!!! Also, he spends ages in the loo sometimes and doesn't like being talked to when in there, but if I go in the bathroom for more than 3 minutes he'll be outside the door checking I'm ok... !?!? Haha! I just see it as funny, but stick up for yourself and reassure him you just need to rest (put pyjamas on and lie in bed if you have to so he gets the message!)
Also remind him going for a walk when you've got chest pains with asthma is probably not the best idea.......
