A thread for all those who have suffered the loss of a much wanted baby. Affectionately know as the penguin huddle.

We'll start with a roll call as there have been so many new members lately and so many success stories that I think we've all lost track.

DaisyMay25 Sorry you feel like you're not coping very well at the moment. Have you had counselling since MC? It might help?
9dop is very early, so don't worry about BFN just yet. Hugs xxx

Lilimum4 · 18/06/2018 08:50

I'm sorry to see some of you ladies are feeling very low (((hugs))) I hope thinks improve for you. I choose to believe we will all get our miracle babies eventually. We just need to hold on tight.

I'm feeling low today too. I can't help but feel really crap during AF ( know I shouldn't) always feels like a fail. Its like a kick in the head every time. Today I should be 20 weeks pg with my little bean but instead I'm lying down with a hot water bottle clamped to a very unpregnant belly.

Does anyone else ever feel the same

DaisyMay25 · 18/06/2018 08:36

@KnitKitty I'm glad you found the positives in the thread. I know how you feel and knowing other people are going through the same struggle and end up with their little miracles is the hope I need to cling on to too. I'm glad this has made you want to active start TTC again and I hope it's not long before you get your bfp.

9dpo and of course bfn, only using ics though I'll use a frer on 12dpo I think and if that's negative I'll bow out this month. I think everything is starting to get to me now, it's been nine months since the mc and each month I just lose more hope. I'm even starting stupid arguments with DH over anything (like him not washing my uniform) I don't think I'm coping well right now.

KnitKitty · 18/06/2018 08:21

Oh man!
I was just perusing the MC boards and checked out the miscarriage boards. There's a thread on there called "when will I be pregnant?" It was originally posted last year by someone after MC and the OP has messaged again a year on to say she's got a newborn now. Another lady who was in the same thread posted too to say she also had her newborn with her and another is in 3rd trimester, even though it took her 14 months to conceive after MC. Others have been posting to say they're now pregnant after MC too. I literally started blubbing when I read those messages of hope. I hadn't realised how much I've just been feeling like it won't happen. I think my zen state is more that I'm in disbelief that I'll ever manage to have a successful pregnancy. I feel like my soul has been healed a little bit more this morning.
I might have to actually actively try next cycle; now I've realised I just feel a bit like I've given up. I know it's still fairly early days since my MC, and I don't really doubt my ability to get pregnant again, I think I've just been doubting I'll ever have a healthy baby, but this has given me some hope to hold on to.

YellowDaffodils86 · 18/06/2018 07:37

@rdm10 thats amazing news. Congratulations! Hope its sticky. Xx

@Boboelephant glad you had a nice time.
Not feeling positive really, think im out this month.

12dpo-BFN, will just wait for AF now. Hopefully i get an actual one this month rather than the odd one last month.
Iv worked all week including the weekend and im really tired, cannot be bothered with work again! All in all a shit morning!

zarala · 18/06/2018 07:11

@Lilimum4 I can't offer much advice as this is my first ever month attempting bbt- but just wanted to say I feel your pain! I am up and down a lot during the night with my little one (think she's teething) and my patterns are all over the place.
FF has just moved my ovulation date back 2 days now so I have miraculously jumped to DPO6...not complaining!

Murderino · 18/06/2018 07:09

@rdm10 wow - how lush to see it in writing - congratulations! 🎉

@Boboelephant thanks for good luck, think I'll need it, will prob test tomorrow or Wednesday if af doesn't show up as I'm cramping on and off 😞

@zarala taking all my will power to wait but want to def make sure af is late - should be due today although app says tomorrow

@RedRobin7 the guide dog sitting sounds amazing! My dog is my saviour and I'm not over exaggerating. Long walks with him have kept me sane.

@ek78 jam sandwiches fizz and JKS sounds like a dream - and possibly what we should all plan this month?

Hope everyone's feeling positive - lots of love to everyone feeling shite - new week and all that! Xx

Pancakes7 · 17/06/2018 22:55

Hi @Zarala It does seem like pregnancy symptoms. But I am trying not to get my hopes up. Fx for a BFP for us both! Nice to have a cycle twin. I'm going to test friday. Then probably again till af arrives! Lol.

littleemma1 · 17/06/2018 22:15

Congratulations @rdm10!!! Hoping you have a really sticky bean in there ❤️

Laney79 · 17/06/2018 21:28

Fab news @rdm10 -fingers crossed for you! X

Lilimum4 · 17/06/2018 21:06

Can I get some advice from all the bbt's ladies how do you train yourself to do the temp straight away. I keep stretching and then remember to do it. But it might be to late by the time I do remember

weasledee · 17/06/2018 21:04

Congrats rdm!! Let's hope it's starts a new wave......!
Keep us posted !

Lilimum4 · 17/06/2018 21:03

@Newbie21 I totally agree, updates are fan too they keep everything in focus for those of us losing heart. Thanks to all those lovely ladies who stick around after bfp it means a lot to see your happy stories x

Newbie21 · 17/06/2018 20:59

@rdm10 congratulations! Sending positive vibes your way for the pregnancy and hoping they spread to the rest of the group. In my view it's so important to hear about the positives, it keeps the hope up.

DaisyMay25 · 17/06/2018 20:38

@rdm10 congrats!! No denying it when it's in writing!

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 17/06/2018 20:29

@rdm10 congratulations fingers tossed for a sticky bean, at least we've had some good news this month xx

zarala · 17/06/2018 20:26

Oops pressed send to soon!
@ek78 haha that does sound like a delicious and fun night- I think you should schedule in something like that with your DH- he sounds like he might be up for it! 😂
Fx ovulation is a bit delayed/early for you this month and you get the best shot you can!

zarala · 17/06/2018 20:24

@RedRobin7 great idea on the temporary dog! I think that's a lovely thing to do for everyone involved!

@rdm yayyyyyy!!! Amazing news!!!!! Congratulations! Fx for a healthy happy and easy pregnancy for you...please keep us posted.

@KeefBurtain my cycles have fluctuated quite a lot- from 25-30 days! (I used to be 26-28days) so I would say yup it's probably just everything getting back to normal!

@jjjen hugs to you - it's so difficult being far from family and then dealing with such horrible things like this.

@Pancakes7 oooh guess what! Those were my exact pregnancy symptoms in my last 2 pregnancies...and then it become quite abundant Cm- fx this is your month!!!!
When are you testing? On Saturday ? (I think we're cycle twins this time??)

Lilimum4 · 17/06/2018 20:24

@rdm10 congratulations I so happy for you. I know what you mean about no symptoms I've never had any early symptoms with any of my pregnancies so I don't know why on earth I'm looking for them every month why would this time be different

sweetpea0318 · 17/06/2018 20:16

Congratulations @rdm10! Fx all goes well and it’s a little sticky one xx

Pancakes7 · 17/06/2018 20:10

So I think I ovulated last weekend had all the normal fertile cm. This then stopped and I had the uti. Now yesterday and today I'm getting sticky then creamy cm...it can't be ovulation again. It's wishful thinking but I'm hoping it's signs of early pregnancy. I guess only time will tell.

ek78 · 17/06/2018 20:07

@rdm10 congratulations! Great news after a hard week in the penguin huddle. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Thought you ladies might find this funny. I was getting a few bits in the supermarket, bread, jam, opks, prosecco and mini-magnum ice creams. DP pointed out in the checkout queue that it looked like we were going to eat jam sandwiches and then go on a mini magnum and prosecco shag-fest. Really made me chuckle. Unfortunately, no such luck as I'm away for work tomorrow over my fw. I got my first flashey smiley today and we have dtd this afternoon but this month will be a long 'shot'. Hoping the fixed smiley will hold off so that I have another chance when I get back on Friday but its looking unlikely for me this month... Just hoping I at least ovulate so I can see things getting back to normal.

HidCat · 17/06/2018 19:37

@KeefBurtain I've found my PMS symptoms started a lot earlier and stronger but my cycles were roughly the same length. I hope the symptoms ease up for you and that they're pg not AF!

Thank you so much for your comforting words. I cannot imagine myself going through this. And I am so sorry for your losses too. I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I wish there’s no more woman who would loss a baby. It is so painful emotionally & physically. I know there is no word that we can offer you for comfort. But knowing that you are not alone... You're in my prayers & in my thoughts. I can see that you are strong women to go through with this. Take care of yourself. I just wish that my sisters were here with me but they are so far from where I am. I don’t have any relative that I can talk to. So I keep reading your comments here and find it so helpful. Thank you so much.

KeefBurtain · 17/06/2018 19:30

I’ve had 1 period since my mc in April. I’m now cd 21, ov on cd16/17 (so say opks) and I feel like I’m going to come on. The cramping is really strong and I’ve had to take paracetamol, which I didn’t even have to when I miscarried.
Is it ‘normal’ to have shorter cycles/phases after mc? mine was natural (11+3, baby was 7/8 weeks

My last period was textbook
