Hey everyone,
I'm out for June so on CD1 and expecting AF to turn up around July 7th. Here's hoping for a lucky bus! 🍀 🚌

I am in my fertile week Saturday when DP is away with friends until Sunday evening. Damn it. Hopefully Sunday night will be okay.

Had a smear today which caused some pain and bleeding my mind wondered if that would effect things hmmm. Pregnant people everywhere are not helping my mood.

jaykaydee · 13/06/2018 18:05

@lavenderlove I think you just do what you can. We sometimes managed that with #1 but it's harder now. We're trying for the SMEP every other then 3 days running after a positive OPK, then once more for luck.

HidCat · 13/06/2018 06:56

@zoClueless I just don't bother waiting for it to get to room temp tbh. Probably why I didn't get a positive last month lol.

@jaykaydee Fingers crosses ovulation is either early or right on time.

@Dinosauraddict welcome to the thread! Sounds like you've got everything covered. If you're worried about ovulation it might be worth recording your Basal Body Temperature to confirm it. OPKs are fine but don't confirm ovulation so much as try to predict it and aren't 100% reliable. Grapefruit Juice is supposed to help the cervical mucus prior to ovulation and then I think you're supposed to switch to pineapple core after ovulation as the Bromelain is good for implantation. Haven't done it myself though.

@lavenderlove go for it!

@shinglebob hope it kicks in soon for you, unless you're pregnant and just don't know it yet!

Hey @HidCat! 👋🏼

I am still waiting for this month's AF, as of tomorrow it's officially the latest been since ditching the pill eight months ago. Will keep you posted..

lavenderlove · 12/06/2018 21:16

I'm now on CD5 and AF is just about coming to an end thank god! Hoping to dtd every other day from now until ovulation week then once a day until ovulation is done. It will be hard for us though as we are usually a once a week type of couple haha. How often do you dtd when TTC?

Dinosauraddict · 12/06/2018 18:11

Hi All,

Can I join you please?

I’m 27 (DH is 34) and we’re TTC #1. Am going to start temperature testing from next cycle - atm we’ve just been using Clue and trying to DTD more regularly (I.e. 3 times a week). I’ve also been taking Pregnacare pre-conception, given up everything like alcohol and caffeine and trying to lose some weight. However I have PCOS and don’t have regular cycles, so trying to guess when AF will arrive or when (read: if) i’m ovulating is currently unknown... Anything else I should be doing? (I keep seeing people mention grapefruit juice?)

jaykaydee · 12/06/2018 17:27

Day 11 here, after the longest AF ever (9 days when it's normally no more than 6) I'm hoping this cycle settles down to normal. app is currently predicting ovulation for day after DH goes away for a conference, if it's delayed then there's no chance :( Just got to DTD as much as possible before Sunday and hope the timing works I suppose.

zoClueless · 12/06/2018 15:00

I'm on CD10 and fertile week seems to start between CD13-17. I should probably start using the OPKs to keep a check on it all. Although I can probably only check tomorrow this week as out straight from work Thursday and Friday so won't be able to do an evening check, and it's not something easily done at work with the cheapies when you need a pot and to allow it to get to room temperature - how do you guys manage all that?

HidCat · 12/06/2018 13:13

@WaitingforDaffodils I bet!

I'm on CD 8 and post AF spotting had finally stopped (I think). Hoping to jump OH tonight and JKS throughout the month. Monitoring BBT for the last 5 days but already missed two due to DS waking up earlier than my alarm 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hi @hidcat...I am waiting for my June AF at the weekend (still a tiny bit hopeful that the highly, highly unlikely event that our first DTD without a condom might result in a BFP). I've got a Clearblue fertility monitor all set to go for July - like waiting to use a new toy...Grin.

Anyday88 · 12/06/2018 11:38

Hi @hidcat I am only on cd3 and trying really hard to be positive at the minute. Af is due on 7th July.

Where are you at?

HidCat · 12/06/2018 11:03

Hi everyone, welcome the newcomers!

Is anyone hitting fertile week yet or are we all still in the early wait?

Welcome @LazyDaisy99 @Thismummyruns

Good luck this month 💕

LazyDaisy99 · 10/06/2018 22:43

Hi
We are just about to start trying for dc#2, finished my pills last week so starting with opks next week. Fingers crossed for everyone on the bus xx

Thismummyruns · 10/06/2018 17:02

Hello!

I'm completely new (and late!) to the Mums Net party.

Currently have 1 DD who is 5 later this year and have decided to try for #2 after years of saying no to any more!
Last pill packet runs out this in a week so next month will be seeing how quickly my cycle returns to a normal state as it was pretty ordinary before. Eeekkkk!

Anyday88 · 10/06/2018 14:43

Af has arrived today so it is on to July now! Af/bfp due on 7th July 🤞🏻

KnitKitty · 10/06/2018 11:31

MrsRyan15 Good news that your fertility tests look fine. Sorry AF arrived. But this is a new cycle now, so I have my fingers crossed it's a lucky one. :)

MrsRyan15 · 10/06/2018 09:21

Jumping on the July bus too. Bit of an up and down month for us. Im 37 and have been TTC #1 for a year.

On the positive side we received results from all of our fertility tests and all looks fine with both me and dh, but AF arrived yesterday so we’re out for June!

Fingers crossed July will finally be the month for our BFP!!

HidCat · 09/06/2018 18:14

@ClaryFray I think men are able to detach a bit more. It does seem unfair though that we're completely absorbed by it and our partners are sitting there thinking we're nuts! I think mine might hide my phone if I'm not careful 😬

It's hard to balence being happyfor them but sad for you when I found out my cousin was pregnant (she fell on the implant too) I said I'd be pregnant by the time her baby arrived. Shes twenty weeks now, had a major wobble when I found out I the sex because life felt so unfair. DP is great but he doesn't get it, must be a man thing.

Delilah7 · 09/06/2018 16:00

I understand that just met my cousins little boy as he's 3 weeks old. Was so hard not to get upset that I didn't have one and he wasn't my little one but so happy for them too!

zoClueless · 09/06/2018 15:31

tripping hugs from me too. This is exactly the work situation that I am trying to mentally prepare myself for at the moment

trippingoverrainbows · 09/06/2018 11:36

Thanks ladies for the support. It's so hard especially when you know the person that's had the baby has struggled also. You're so happy for them but sad for you 💕

ClaryFray · 09/06/2018 09:36

@tipping I have a women at work who recently annoced she's pregnant and it's all they talk about. Any cravings, are you tired. I avoid that part of the staff room now. So hard.

jaykaydee · 09/06/2018 08:57

Oh that's horrible @tripping.

Day 8 of the longest crampiest period I've ever had.
