Hi, can I jump on please?

TTC #2, age 30, cycle 4 after a BFP in April that didn't stick.
Spotting so think AF is arriving, so probably CD 1 will be tomorrow or the day after.

Last month we tried SMEP, so will probably follow it this month again too.

Angelmiracle · 22/06/2018 21:48

@Catren27 lots and lots of luck for July 😘

Welcome @JustLikeTheySaid - its great having frank and honest convo with like minded ladies 😂

JustLikeTheySaid · 22/06/2018 20:30

I'm jumping on as AF started today.

Cycle 3 for us. So pleased to have people to share this process with.

HidCat · 22/06/2018 08:15

@CatRen27 so glad to see you not giving up this month. 🤞 you won't need that ivf after all.

@TheMagicTorch glad OH is on board and you're doing ok.

@themagictorch - yep. Found quite a few Brand New fans on MN!

TheMagicTorch · 22/06/2018 07:23

Hi @sictransitgloria (fab name by the way - one of my favourite songs - if that's what it's about!!)
Hopefully a lucky month for us all.

So i presented my DP at the dining room table last night with the SMEP and a calendar and he's delighted with all the baby dancing Smile although he says I'm not allowed to call it that!!
Still bleeding slightly but feeling a little better and looking forward to trying again.

CatRen27 · 22/06/2018 07:17

waves hey hidcat, joining here tentatively as it's our last month before ivf ttc #2 so don't have high hopes. Also on the infertility boards so can't quite let go yet...

my stats are

Age - 35
TTC #2
25 cycles
DD is 3yo
AF due 18th July

Good luck everyone, I'm on CD5 here so gearing up for the fw, due to ovulate around 4th July.

Sictransitgloria · 21/06/2018 23:16

Hello. Joining the July bus and hoping it will be a good month.

Angelmiracle · 21/06/2018 19:24

Enjoy a night off @HidCat I love a good boxset!

Dh and I dtd cd4 last night because we wanted to mot because it was on the schedule 🙈 It was nice 😁

HidCat · 21/06/2018 17:54

Ooh lots of fun times being had all round. I'm having a night off tonight. Think I ovulated yesterday anyway but OH is working tonight so it's boxsets for me 🍹🍿

Also agree about chemical pregnancy - it does sound so dismissive.

Guess I'm a SMEP success story! I think it's particularly good if you have long / irregular cycles. Just need the energy to follow it now! Need to DTD sat / sun / tues / thurs and maybe one more in between 😯

Angelmiracle · 21/06/2018 16:56

I'm also do not like the term CP either it sounds so dismissive as if its the same as af or something! You ladies need to grieve no matter how early on!!!😚💐

Also off to read smep successes 😁

LivingOnAPear · 21/06/2018 15:29

@TheMagicTorch sorry to hear about your early miscarriage. Same happened to me last month too at 4 +4. I've ovulated as normal this month so hopefully you should too. It's lovely that you have supportive family.

@Seahawk80 I'm trying to be chilled out and not shout "I'm ovulating ffs, you must ejaculate in me now!" at DH but it's annoying when they don't want to. I even booked a hotel a couple of times and didn't get any action because he was ill the first time and his mum (who was babysitting) was ill the second time.

WaitingforDaffodils · 21/06/2018 15:04

@zoClueless - ah! Good luck with it! Fingers crossed for us putting our own success stories up in coming months Smile

TheMagicTorch · 21/06/2018 13:58
  • Goes off to find SMEP success stories 🏃‍♀️
zoClueless · 21/06/2018 13:26

MagicTorch yes, you are right, i should talk to DH about it again. He'd definitely be supportive if he knew i was feeling a bit crap at the moment.

Also, and to WaitingforDaffodils I think I might have already said, but i am also trying SMEP for first time. Started on CD8 and now on CD19 waiting for a positive OPK (one step). I also saw that success story thread Smile

TheMagicTorch · 21/06/2018 11:54

@zoclueless Flowers Sorry for your loss. It is definitely a loss and it sounds healthy to acknowledge it and process it. Maybe just talk to your DH about it, it's not too late to bring it up.

WaitingforDaffodils · 21/06/2018 11:26

@themagictorch - I read the SMEP success page and got over-excited...seems to make sense though...just have those swimmers always waiting around for the right moment! Let me know how you get on (this is my first month too) Smile

@zoClueless it sounds like a really healthy thing to process the loss properly and acknowledge it. I'm so sorry Flowers

zoClueless · 21/06/2018 11:05

MagicTorch , HidCat totally agree about the CP term. I had an early loss (5-6 weeks) at end of April and at the time just shrugged it off as a CP (was expecting it as the lines were so faint in the test and just got fainter and I was heading into a weekend away which would have been extremely awkward to explain avoiding drinking) but the last few weeks I've been thinking about it a lot and have reframed it in my mind to account for the loss that it was.

Trouble is now DH thinks I'm absolutely fine about it all and has taken the lead from that!

TheMagicTorch · 21/06/2018 11:04

@WaitingforDaffodils thank you ❤️
It's heartbreaking after being so ecstatic over our BFP.
Fingers crossed for this month.
On another note, I'd never heard of SMEP .. now I've googled it and thinking that might be on the agenda this month 🤭

WaitingforDaffodils · 21/06/2018 10:42

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss @TheMagicTorch I can't even imagine how upsetting that is - wishing you the best of things for this month's POAS and a BFP.

I'm due the 13th of July but will be in Georgia then and, in theory, travelling about their very dangerous mountain roads by minibus! So I'm going to take a FRER as soon as possible so I can amend my travel plans if need be...might be being overly cautious but at least I'll know if I can drink the good wine etc too!

This is our first 'proper' month ttc and we're using preseed, SMEP, Clearblue Digital Monitor, fertility yoga and doing the usual dietary stuff...this morning my DH called me a baby making machine lovingly i think Grin

TheMagicTorch · 21/06/2018 09:49

@HidCat - Yep totally agree. I'm feeling much better today thank you - DP and our parents have been so supportive.

HidCat · 21/06/2018 09:18

@TheMagicTorch I agree about it not being a nice term. It makes it sound like nothing was fertilised and it's just your body being crazy which isn't the case. Hope you're ok.

OP posts:
TheMagicTorch · 21/06/2018 09:14

I've taken a bit of the opposite approach this month - I've bought some OPKs for the first time and Pre-seed 🤭 Mainly because I'm not sure how the early miscarriage (really don't like the term 'chemical') will affect my cycle and we want to keep trying straight away.
