@Wishful30 🤞🤞 for you that egg is caught sounds good!!

I tested Fri night again with CB advanced caught the surge!! Hopefully covered. Tww begins....🤤

MidwifeMummy161 · 08/07/2018 22:41

I used that for the first time this cycle, fingers crossed for you xxx

Wishful30 · 08/07/2018 22:29

@MidwifeMummy161
No... I have very little cm in generally anyway, but I think Clomid has dried it all up. I've had literally none.
We are using conceive plus lube tho so 🤞🏻

MidwifeMummy161 · 08/07/2018 22:19

@Wishful30 if you BD tonight that should be enough to catch the egg, do you have egg white cervical mucus?

MidwifeMummy161 · 08/07/2018 22:17

@zoClueless hopefully this is your cycle when will you test? Xx

Wishful30 · 08/07/2018 21:07

So... my clear blue monitor only lets you opk test once a day. This has annoyed me since I started using it. I used the smiley face sticks before.
The fertility clinic tell you to 'only test for LH surge with your first morning pee'

I know from previous googling that you can either miss your surge, or catch the end of it and ovulation can be over and done with really fast.

So I know I should get my positive opk tomorrow/Tuesday.
I know my left ovary is going to be the one releasing the egg.
I have been aching for a few days ovaries and uterus for no real reason.
This morning, negative opk on both tests.
This afternoon I had a mild stab/pop feeling from my left side (I always feel ovulation on the right, not usually the left) I have NO aching anymore. It's all gone.

Something told me to test again...
used the stick, low and behold.. smiley face 🤦🏻‍♀️

Here's to hoping I have either already ovulated or will do in the next 12hours as DH will be gone at 5am and not back till Tuesday.
Best bd again tonight to be sure 🤞🏻

This is so not confusing at all!!!

Treaclepie19 · 08/07/2018 20:56

DTD Thursday sounds perfect timing @fizzytonicplease!

We've officially started. Got an early DTD in for cd6. Not doing any OPKS so just going to see what happens!

NoseringGirl · 08/07/2018 19:58

I know what you mean @fizzytonicplease, it can be less stressful to not have the hope!

fizzytonicplease · 08/07/2018 17:06

Very true! Just worried if i tell myself im still in, then i will drive myself crazy symptom spotting in the 2ww lol

NoseringGirl · 08/07/2018 15:42

@Wishful30 it seems to vary! I got a temp rise the day after my positive OPK.

@Owlpatrol and @fizzytonicplease it only takes the once during that fertile window. You never know!

fizzytonicplease · 08/07/2018 14:41

I got a postive OPK on friday, but unfortunately DH was working nights over the weekend!, and no one to have DC in the day, so couldn't try which is very annoying, We did manage to DTD on Thursday but think i will be out this month.

Owlpatrol · 08/07/2018 14:38

Hi ladies joining the bus been a bit AWOL last few weeks as life just taken over. I'm about 5dpo at the minute and though being positive I feel it won't be our month as only managed once during fw. Will catch up soon. Hope everyone doing well x

Wishful30 · 08/07/2018 11:55

Thanks @NoseringGirl
Dtd this morning and will try and keep DH awake tonight 😂

No LH surge yet so I guess I may not actually ovulate until 24/36 hrs after?

NoseringGirl · 08/07/2018 11:36

@Wishful30 I think I remember a general tender feeling on clomid (it was a few years ago now mind!) I put it down to my body having to do things it's wasn't used to doing!
Kicked my lazy ovaries into action 🤣 I hope you manage to ovulate before tomorrow but even if it's in the next couple of days, DTD tonight should put you in with a chance!

Wishful30 · 08/07/2018 11:13

Ovulation is imminent, and of course DH has to work away tomorrow/Tuesday now. Bloody typical.
Should've taken that injection!

On an upside the Clomid didn't cause hyper stimulation of the ovaries. So one large good follicle one side and a smaller one the other.
Likely to just release the one.

Has anyone had generalised uterus/ovary pain both sides after the Clomid?
And my cervix is pretty tender/sore during bd too (sorry tmi)
Noticed I just 'hurt' for the last couple of days

TheMagicTorch · 08/07/2018 11:12

@WaitingforDaffodils Yeah, I'm one week into the TWW! Really going to struggle this week, and have promised DP I won't test until AF is due!

NoseringGirl · 08/07/2018 10:31

@Charlotte1x oh yeah it's definitely way too early. I think 6DPO is the absolute earliest implantation could occur (though it's more likely to be later) and you need at least 48 hours after implantation for hcg to be detectable in your urine. Step away from the tests!

Charlotte1x · 08/07/2018 10:13

@Jimmytk Don’t beat yourself up about this, you haven’t caused anything. You couldn’t have caused anything that quickly. I’m 7DPO and had a gin and tonic last night watching the football. Many people have a drink while TTC before finding out they are definitely pregnant. Hugs to you.

Thanks @Noseringgirl ! Just to confirm, 6DPO is wayyyyy too early to test isn’t it? I found myself feeling upset and I thought, why?! Even if I was pregnant it was never going to be positive. I think I need to make sure I don’t have any in the house until it’s sensible to test!

Jimmytk · 08/07/2018 10:11

Oops, ignore the last post. Newbie error. Posted as a new thread now :)

NoseringGirl · 08/07/2018 10:06

@Jimmytk there are so many people that have a few drinks before finding out they're pregnant (myself included with my DS2) that I honestly don't believe it would cause that to happen. Please don't beat yourself up about it. It's more likely that you're experiencing a hormone shift that's causing some spotting (this can happen in both pregnant and non pregnant cycles) or your cycle is a bit different this month (due to early ovulation or no ovulation) and your period is arriving earlier than expected. Be kind to yourself ❤️

@Charlotte1x we've all been there! It's those cheap tests, they're so temping! I got 30 of them for £2.50 this month so I'm blatantly going to start testing way too early. The temptation is too much!

Jimmytk · 08/07/2018 09:54

Hi all, it's my first post here. Realised I need somewhere to get stuff out my head to people who have maybe been there.

I have been ttc for seven months. So far I've had three sets of implantation bleeding, and one (shortlived) bfp.

I did the OV test, and had some spotting at 8/9dpo, and some mild cramping on the right hand side. Which I hoped was implantation. But then stupidly, went out last night. Alcohol didn't taste good and made me feel a bit nauseous, so I didn't have much initially. But my glass kept getting filled. And I honestly don't know how much prosecco I had. Then I started to throw up.

I've just woken up to find bright red blood. And I'm loathing myself that I may have induced a spontaneous abortion.

I'm now 10 dpo, period not due for 5 days. But have a draggy feeling on my lower left hand side.

Don't know what to do. Beating myself up so much.

Charlotte1x · 08/07/2018 09:50

Hi everyone! And hi @MidwifeMummy161 - I’m 7DPO today so we’re in the same boat!
I am so ashamed to say that I POAS yesterday at 6DPO on an eBay cheapie. Of course it was negative and was never going to be anything else! I don’t even think implantation will have happened yet. I just got a sudden urge! I’ve promised myself that I’m going to hold out until AF is due now. X

NoseringGirl · 08/07/2018 09:38

@Pudding01 I started temping back in 2011 when TTC DS1 and have done it on and off since then. I use an Ava bracelet now rather than a bbt thermometer. My cycles were mostly anovulatory until the last few months (with the exception of a couple of cycles each time I was TTC before). So even though I've been temping for years, seeing charts with ovulation is still a novelty!

Pudding01 · 08/07/2018 09:18

@NoseringGirl I know right! I always say I'll wait until after AF is due, but I'm there POAS by 10dpo 😂 Will just have to make sure I have a couple of cheapies to keep me going hehe
Have you been temping long? I know I'll be the same until the end to see if it dips or not! X

NoseringGirl · 08/07/2018 08:41

@MidwifeMummy161 I'm a POAS addict and usually test from around 10DPO. The most sensible thing to do is wait until you're late. I'm not very sensible though!

@Pudding01 I tend to trust FF, obviously it can't always be spot on but it's generally pretty clever! I'd say maybe wait an extra couple of days to test in case it's wrong and you're testing too early but I blatantly wouldn't even take that advice myself 🤣

I'm at the point in my cycle where I analyse my temp each morning and worry that it's not going high enough. I do it every month! I looked back at my last few charts and it's the same point it's always at. I'll feel better when I'm enough DPO for FF to give me crosshairs!
