Wouldn’t worry too much about the brown stuff. I’ve had that AND horrendous bleeding with all my pregnancies, and all was well. It’s not over til the Aunt Flo sings

Thanks for tweaking, not getting my hopes up as I've had a bit of brownish discharge for last day or so. Will give it a few days and see what happens.

You have a fair point re the dye colour - if you have an evap it should technically be grey rather than blue even if the test is cracked open. I've just had a couple of bad experiences with blue ones that make me wary. Retest with FMU for sure though, fingers crossed it will be more conclusive for you!

Anyone know why opening the test is a big no-no? And why it would cause a blue line? Surely only hcg, not air, can cause a blue line? If that was the case, surely all tests would end up with lines/Evap lines?

simplethings I see a hint of a second line, but not sure if that's from the test being cracked open. I've also been burned by blue dye results before so am wary. Def worth trying with an FRER. Hope you get the result you want.

Mind if I hop onto the bus? Been feeling odd the past couple of days so did a test. I’m on the mini pill so I’ve absolutely no clue when I ovulate or whatever. It’s a Tesco test(shitty blue dye one!) so I’m not convinced either way. What do you think?
*i cracked it open because the reflection on the already line-streaked window was annoying me! Serious design flaw

no I don't- I keep saying I'll start next cycle. no idea when I'm due, I've only had two bleeds this year (February 11th & April 20th)
I had a positive opk Thursday 24th may then again twice today. so confusing!
I did a FRER 2 days ago and it was negative. I guess that could change though

Do you do bbt or anything? When is af due? I would expect them to get lighter after a day or 2 if they were picking up LH, if I'm honest with you another dark one and I'd be doing a frer!

@foxyroxy thanks I did another an hour ago and it was as dark If not darker. the test line is darker than the control line. if it was ovulation (again?!) would it go lighter tomorrow do you think?

@3SteaksPam I don't trust those tests at all, I've had a bfp on at least 3 and not been pregnant. I'm sorry :( @Coconutty89 opks do pick up HCG but you can also have a slight LH surge just before af so they're not really a reliable means of testing. But yes I've used them in place of ic's before and they got darker (I was pg) as the days went on.

hey everyone does anyone know if OPKs darken close to your period?

I've just had this on an Opk (no hcg tests left and the addiction is real hahaha)

not sure what to make of it?

@3SteaksPam was your urine quite diluted? I can see a faint line in the test bit but even the control line looks faint, I'd be tempted to buy a FRER if I was you. Good luck
