CALLING ALL YAMMER'S!

Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

  • Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

NEW RULE ALERT!

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

Hi ladies my break down at the doctors was worth it as they have finally found my results and came back "normal " so I've got 2 others to do and dp S.A. now!

Glaring BFN this morning! I feel so silly for getting hopes up. Who knows what the faint line yesterday was about - dodgy frer? Wishful thinking? Chemical? Ah well. FP due tomorrow. Can't try next cycle because of hycosy and will be nice to take a break from it tbh.

Congrats @Looking !

Not much to report here, on holiday in Tokyo with DH at the moment after going to his cousin’s wedding in Shanghai last week. Lots of talk about having babies which was hard. We’ve been to several temples and prayed for one for what it’s worth (neither of us are religious) and even bought a lucky charm for “wishes to come true”. DH has been getting plenty of action we’ve DTD every 2-3 days even though half the time I don’t really feel like it, I guess I haven’t the heart to say no atm (so I guess one of his wishes is coming true 😉)

First fertility specialist appointment next Wednesday to start the process of getting me to ovulate. Bet you my sex drive will be nonexistent by then... 😐

Been doctor this morning was so upset I thought she may have signed me off work but getting 're tested and obviously in the meantime keep trying. Dtd yesterday and cycle day 12 today xx

@Chooklass. If you get your bfp then we should more or less have the same EDD 😂 I am peeing today like the world is depending on my urine to survive! I'm in major anxiety mode though. I was waiting to cross the road to DD to school and I felt a massive rush of panic!

Bet they are! It's probably just packaging and marketing which bump up the price of FRERs - and we all fall for it! I switched to using ICs after first few cycles - not sure why I decided to FRER this cycle. Totally doubting my optimism from this morning now and sure I was imagining it 😬

How are you doing @LookingAtTheStars89 ? We've been ttc twins for a while (similar cycles, pcos, poor sperm etc) would be spooky if we got bfps at same time!!

@Chooklass I bet the owners of FRER are laughing all the way to the bank! I would why the tests have all different hcg measures? Do you think it cost more to make a more sensitive one?

Has anyone seen @bubblegum89 or @owlpatrol? They've been quiet for a bit x

Eek - no, but just cleaned out my Boots points buying frers 😂. Scared to test again incase it's not there! Will probably wait until tomorrow 1st thing now. I've had far less spotting than usual this month but apart from that nothing different. Can't concentrate on work!

@inquisitivebadger and @FairyAnn I'm sorry your period arrived. Looks like it got me too this month as spotting is now getting heavier.

Hi @inquisitivebadger, that must be really tough. People I know via other people keep getting pregnant and it feels like it's just me left  sorry FP arrived for you and @FairyAnn

I'm stressed at the moment which I think will write this cycle off, despite getting a positive OPK this morning on CD18 which is three days early than last cycle. I had a wrist problem which seemed to go away and is now back, it's SO painful and just getting worse. DH got me to grip his arm with each hand and he said the grip on my left hand is about 20% of that of my right which is rather worrying, it clearly never recovered as much as I thought it had. I keep thinking I've got something in my grip then dropping it. I play piano and am panicking about long term wrist instability and arthritis. Moaning to my hearts content because I know you'll all let me!

Aaarg, yammers! I did a frer this morning (11dpo-ish) and it just keeps catching my eye! Faintest ever line, maybe. Guess I'll just have to wait and do another one in a couple of days. I've never seen anything but completely unavoidable stark white on a frer before so it's difficult not to get excited. Wah!

@Chooklass. Don't count yourself out yet! I had/have all the usual FP symptoms - insomnia, spots, bloating, teary eyed - the lot. Fingers crossed for you x

Hi everyone,
Hope I'm ok to hop on - only just past the 6 month mark and appreciate that really isn't very long (and if I didn't appreciate it- I would soon given the regularity with which I'm told!) Finding it hard - every month I try not to build my hopes up but those hopes just keep getting built anyway! Doesn't help that there're 3 pregnant ladies at work at the mo and 2 have just had babies. FP arrived this evening. Not enjoying the double whammy of misery and stomach cramps... Apologies for the whiny first message!
