Anyone else trying for DC3?!

Can't quite believe I've just written that title...after a lot of indecision DH and I have decided to see where fate takes us. So we're not obsessively trying, but I know generally when I ovulate so we'll DTD around that time. Tbh we're still not 100% convinced we'd cope with three, but sometimes you have to take a leap of faith.

I've been thinking about it constantly and our ages mean it's now or never. We adore our 2 DC's and if that's what we're meant to have we'll be very happy, but if fate has other ideas, we're up for the challenge!

About to start AF and then off we go Smile

Is it absolutely dreadful to say that I am so scared of people’s reactions and THAT question that I want to say it was an accident?! I can’t bear the judgement of people when I would say no, it was planned.

Does this make me a bad mother?

LittleTipple · 24/07/2018 13:36

I know what you mean about announcing. Three seems out of the norm and some people think it is excessive. I'm expecting 'was it planned' to be a regular question! I really don't care what people think -our life, our family.

Same here @Patienceofatoddler I had a miscarriage in April so this baby is very much wanted

Patienceofatoddler · 24/07/2018 09:13

@Anyday88 very similar here we will have just turned 4 years , 2.5 years and newborn.

But equally I need to not care what others think or may think as I'm sure it is mostly in my head. Blush

For me I would have had a smaller gap but it just didn't happen as easily 3rd time round.

Nulanoo · 23/07/2018 21:04

I wouldn’t worry about those age gaps at all. I’m actually worried our gap will be too big as I have a just turned 4 year old and a soon to be 3 year old at the moment

Anyday88 · 23/07/2018 20:07

@Patienceofatoddler I totally get what you mean I feel like people are going to judge more with number 3 especially as they are relatively small ages gaps of 20 months between one and two and there will be 26 mi this between 2 and 3. So I will have 3 aged 4 and under.

The other part of me keeps saying sod it, it's nobody else's business!

Patienceofatoddler · 23/07/2018 16:18

@LittleTipple it's been so different to previous experience.

Took nearly a year whereas previous pregnancies were 2-3 cycles 😊

But all in all not bad just waiting to miraculously wake up full of energy and feeling great haha but also nervous of people's opinion when we do says publicly ie when my work realise. Feel more nervous announcing number 3 Blush

I think most assume we are 'finished' with family as we have a girl and a boy already.

UntilTheVeryEnd · 23/07/2018 09:25

Welcome @PatienceofaToddler and @Nulanoo we are a really nice bunch Wink I really enjoy having a safe space to chat with other mums in the same situation... helps remind me that I am not alone in my madness Grin

Nulanoo · 22/07/2018 21:34

Hi

So pleased to find this thread! We decided to try for number 3 and I had my coil removed at the beginning of this month. Had my period a week after that and I guess now I’m in my most fertile time and we are seeing what happens. I’m nervous but excited!

LittleTipple · 22/07/2018 21:12

Thank you so much ladies. I've calmed down now and sensibly thinking about bedroom formats!

@Patienceofatoddler it is a lovely thread. How are you finding pregnancy third time round? I'm praying it's kinder to me than last time!

Congrats @littletipple!

Patienceofatoddler · 22/07/2018 15:35

@LittleTipple that's amazing! Congratulations.

I've not sure if I've ever commented Blushbut love reading this thread.

We are now 15 weeks with no3 (3.5 year old and 23 month old) - as of yet only close family know.

I'm not sure it's still not yet quite
Sunk in 🙈

Anyday88 · 22/07/2018 10:45

Brilliant news @LittleTipple I don't think it's sunk in for me yet either and I'm 6 weeks today!

NoseringGirl · 22/07/2018 09:42

Congratulations @LittleTipple!

UntilTheVeryEnd · 22/07/2018 09:37

It’s just great news! It seems like ages since you started this thread but really you havnt taken too long to catch!
Whereas DH still hasn’t bucked up the energy to DTD and the coils been out since Tuesday Hmm not sure how he thinks we will get up duffed if he doesn’t stand to attention. On the upside we did purchase a new car for our impending family growth x

LittleTipple · 22/07/2018 08:13

Thank you @UntilTheVeryEnd. DH and I keep looking at each like we can't quite believe it. My crazy dreams and bubbly tummy we're definitely symptoms for me this month. I'm feeling good apart from a bit of back ache and sore boobs!

Congratulations @LittleTipple I’m just made up for you 🎉🎉🎉

Hope you are feeling ok!

LittleTipple · 22/07/2018 07:55

Morning ladies, when I started this thread I couldn't believe we'd made the decision to try for a third, after months of indecision. Well, I now can't believe that fate has spoken and I'm PREGNANT!!!

Tested this morning on a FRER and CB digital. I'm thrilled and terrified in equal measure. I just pray that this is a sticky bean and next year we'll be a family of five - eek! Baby dust to all xx

I'm really not sure @UntilTheVeryEnd. I think usually when you come off contraception they suggest waiting for a proper period before TTC, so that your dates are clearer when they ask for the LMP. However you've waited so long, I totally understand wanting to get going! Maybe count it as CD1 and get some OPKs to check ovulation. Good luck!

UntilTheVeryEnd · 21/07/2018 17:37

Hello all... quick tmi question, just had a 1 day withdrawl bleed following coil removal on Tuesday. Bleed was yesterday. Would you count that as CD 1 or just DTD and wait for next full period? I never had a period when coil was in so no clue where I am/ should be with my cycle. Hmm
Thoughts appreciated x

LittleTipple · 19/07/2018 10:52

Oh sorry the witch got you @NoseringGirl. It's so hard to have the disappointment each month.

Why is it when we start TTC our cycles seem to go out of whack? Temping a good idea @Wingingit3211, just to check what's happening.

I'm also feeling a bit down today. After two days of feeling positive, I'm now having my very usual AF symptoms and don't feel pregnant at all. Think my body has tricked me again...

Wingingit3211 · 19/07/2018 07:27

I’m sorry @NoseringGirl :(

So AF not actually arrived yet for me. CD 35 but tests negative. Had ewcm yesterday so who knows what’s going on. Going to temp next month so I can get a better idea

NoseringGirl · 19/07/2018 06:35

AF arrived this morning, 2 days late. Explains why those very faint lines never got any darker 😢

LittleTipple · 18/07/2018 20:42

@NoseringGirl I'd say that looks like clear ovulation, especially with the timing of you ewcm. Will be interesting to see what your temp does tomorrow.

Welcome @HeartCurrent. I also conceived after one try with DC2, which was a huge shock as DC1 took a lot longer. Currently on 2nd cycle of trying for DC3. I'm definitely more impatient this time. I think it is because we have put a time frame on trying.

@Megs87 a hard but sensible decision. I believe in fate and if you feel the planets aren't aligning, there may well be a reason. Wishing you a happy life as a wonderful family of four.
