Anyone else trying for DC3?!

Can't quite believe I've just written that title...after a lot of indecision DH and I have decided to see where fate takes us. So we're not obsessively trying, but I know generally when I ovulate so we'll DTD around that time. Tbh we're still not 100% convinced we'd cope with three, but sometimes you have to take a leap of faith.

I've been thinking about it constantly and our ages mean it's now or never. We adore our 2 DC's and if that's what we're meant to have we'll be very happy, but if fate has other ideas, we're up for the challenge!

About to start AF and then off we go Smile

@LittleTipple I am so sorry for your loss! It's difficult no matter how far along you are. I miscarried in April at 5+1 so understand how you are feeling! Be kind to yourself and don't by rush anything!

Yuzuko · 06/08/2018 12:27

@LittleTipple - I'm so sorry Sad. That's just devastating. I hope you have some time to look after yourself and process... many hugs and thoughts sent your way.

LittleTipple · 06/08/2018 11:34

It's not good news ladies. I've miscarried. Just feel numb. Obviously it was early days and because I hadn't felt very pregnant, I hadn't got too attached, but you just never think it will happen to you. Think my period is starting now and I really don't know how I feel about trying again. I've got two beautiful DCs and I wonder if I'm just pushing my luck. Alcohol will def be drunk tonight. Xx

Welcome @Yuzuko - hope your TWW ends up in an BFP for you! I totally understand where you are coming from in regards to deliberation and then decision followed by obsessive behaviour! I’ve recently come of the coil and I’m caught in a terrible limbo... we have been DTD etc so technically in which a chance but as I havnt had AF since the removal I’ve no idea what’s going on (I don’t temp or OPK)

@LittleTipple i just cross my fingers for you that you are just going to have a lovely sickless pregnancy- altho sometimes is good to have them as they can be reassuring at times. I’m finding myself a lot more anxious and a lot less patient this time - defo will be having a reasurance scan if I do get pregnant.

I have already become obsessed having POAS twice - BFN as expected.

Hope everyone else is doing well and getting plenty action Wink
Is anyone due to test this week?

Yuzuko · 05/08/2018 08:29

Hey there - I hope nobody minds me joining this thread, it kind of feels slightly more relevant than many of the others!

I'm 36, nearly 37 and this year dh and I finally felt sure that we really did want three in our family. I have a ds 8 and a dd 6.

For the past 3 or 4 years I've been umming and ahhing about it, and swinging between being really 'ready' and then not ready at all. This year something clicked in and we both just decided that no matter how 'ready' we were feeling, we would regret not trying for our third and it was kind of now or never. Time ticking on and all that!

I got pregnant very easily first and second time - but then I was 28 and 30, so a completely different ballgame. I have mentally prepared myself that it might not be so quick this time, and that I shouldn't necessarily put my life on hold while I'm waiting for a BFP. I've also come to grips with the reality that it might just not happen for us, and feel quite fatalistic - If it's meant to be....
Also feel very grateful for two children already, both happy, both healthy.
I would be disappointed though! There is a definite 'space' in my heart and my life.

So we are on cycle #2 of ttc. I'm trying not to be obsessive, but failing miserably and have been cycle tracking and binge reading mn excessively. Hopefully I'll calm down a bit over time.

I'm taking these supplements: Vit D/C/Zinc, Folate, Ubiquinol, Acetyl L-Carnitine, iron (I'm very low), Vitamin B's.

I think this cycle I ov'd on day 11 and we dtd twice in the days leading up to - so in with a slight chance! Wish we'd gone a bit harder though....

I'm now at 5dpo and waiting waiting for the crazy symptom spotting to begin!

LittleTipple · 04/08/2018 12:39

Hiya all, hope everyone hasn't melted in this heat! I know it makes some people feel a bit fruity, but certainly not me Grin

All quiet here, in fact a bit too quiet. I'm 5 + 3 and having next to no symptoms. I keep telling myself I didn't kick in with nausea until at least 6 weeks with other pregnancies, but I thought being third time around, symptoms might start earlier. I honestly keep forgetting I'm pregnant. Planning on booking a reassurance scan for 8 weeks.

Looks like ttc#3 this last month done for me so here's to a lot of activity mid August!! Here's to us all having a (re) productive August

Cheeseandpicklesarnies · 31/07/2018 12:48

DD6 and ds4 and we are tentatively thinking of going for no.3 after swearing blind we were done until last month! Both now a little broody! Had an incident a couple of days ago which I’m not too sure could have results or not. Time will tell!

NoseringGirl · 30/07/2018 14:12

I'd personally carry on as you are as it sounds like it's having a really positive effect on you generally and mention it to the doctors when you see them.

Wingingit3211 · 30/07/2018 13:39

Yeah it’s really annoying. I’m the fittest I’ve ever been! I don’t want to not run as I plan on running throughout pregnancy!

NoseringGirl · 30/07/2018 13:34

I think body fat can have an effect on hormones. You sound very healthy though!

Wingingit3211 · 30/07/2018 12:01

No my bmi is bang on 20. If anything I’ve gained weight over the last 6 months but I do have low body fat. Not really changed the Intensity that much. Some weeks I run harder than others

NoseringGirl · 30/07/2018 09:20

I used a babymad bbt thermometer when I first started temping and it did the job!
I can understand not wanting the faff of the doctors during the holidays. I'm not sure how much of an impact running would have on your cycles, have you had a big increase in it recently or drastic weight changes?

Wingingit3211 · 30/07/2018 09:12

Is there any particular basal thermometer anyone would recommend? I’ve had a lot on amazon and there are a few ranging from like £4-£20

Wingingit3211 · 30/07/2018 09:05

No no treatment. I’m off to the drs next month. Can’t be bothered with the faf this month with the kids off and going back and forth to the drs for tests. I presume they’ll want to scan again as the nhs are a bit annoying like that. Going to wait until they go back. Meant to be cutting back on the exercise as well as I’m a keen runner and apparently too intense exercise can impact your cycles and I run 3-4 times a week at pretty high intensities . But they it keeps me sane so not sure what to do for the best. I just want a baby :(

NoseringGirl · 30/07/2018 08:57

Ugh @Wingingit3211 PCOS is just shit. I hate cycles like that. You might have already said but I have a terrible memory, are you getting any treatment for the PCOS?

Wingingit3211 · 30/07/2018 08:20

CD46 still no period. Some annoying brown spotting that I sometimes get before my period but nothing. Negative pregnancy tests. No period. Stupid PCOS limbo. Fucked off

UntilTheVeryEnd · 28/07/2018 18:00

So sorry to hear of your saddness @BlackRibboner - hopefully your next bean will be nice and sticky!

@Wingingit3211 I really hope you catch on soon and you don’t need any treatments

How are you feeling @LittleTipple ?? Any symptoms yet?

I’m holding very little hope for this cycle - we have all had a terrible bug this week so DH and I havnt been in the mood (which is jolly strange for me Blush) I also have a feeling that my period will play funny buggers and not return on time as it should... I just get the feeling it’s not going to happen easily this time.

Hope everyone else is well x

LittleTipple · 28/07/2018 13:57

@Wingingit3211 It's good to have a plan and a feeling of moving forward. Fingers crossed you either won't need the tests or you get some answers.

@BlackRibboner welcome. Sorry it's sad news this week, but hopefully good news soon.

Hi all. I have a 2 year old and a 10 month old and found out this week I was pregnant with the third . . . Before beginning to lose the pregnancy today Sad While horrible, it has clarified for me that I do really want a third, but I'm on a schedule as I don't want two close and then a big gap (and we can't afford four!). So will be tracking and hoping with you all, if that's ok? Congratulations to those who have their bfps already and fingers crossed for the rest of us!

Wingingit3211 · 26/07/2018 18:43

Ovulation even

Wingingit3211 · 26/07/2018 18:43

2 of my friends have had their babies this week and although I’m really happy for them I can’t help but also being a bit :( that we still aren’t pregnant. Decided to go to the Drs in September and start the ball rolling with bloods and scans ect with the hope of getting help with obligation

LittleTipple · 26/07/2018 11:19

@sambababy I remember the months of indecision very well. It played on my mind all the time too. I googled so much and read everything I could. Yes, there were a few that said two would have been easier and they feel a bit stretched with three, but most say how happy they are with their decision to have another.

I decided that life is too short for what ifs and I know it will be really hard work while they are all young, but things will calm down. My long term vision is big family gatherings and a busy, bustling house. I came to the conclusion that it was playing on my mind so much because it was meant to be and I had to at least try. The fact I've fallen after just two months, tells me it is meant to be!

sambababy · 25/07/2018 00:39

@LittleTipple that's amazing news! Congratulations!! And that didn't take long at all! Really hope it's a straightforward pregnancy for you.

I am STILL dithering. I ought to start a ditherers thread Confused Just when I think I've decided to go for it, I have another day where I think ermmmm... I wish someone could just decide for me, it's doing my head in as it's all I think about every day.

LittleTipple · 24/07/2018 14:49

Oh @UntilTheVeryEnd it doesn't make you a bad mother. Honestly though, I think it's just about being confident in your decision and saying proudly, 'Yes, it was absolutely planned. We're so excited to add our family.' If people show any judgement, I would just say, 'It's a shame you can't be happy for us.'

For me personally, i find the idea of people thinking it was an accident more of an issue. I'd hate to think people were pitying me or thinking we were dealing with something we didn't want.
