I'm glad I found this thread. In a similar position. 26-28 day cycles (for about a year since coming off pill) today is CD 30 and nothing. Lots of cramping since CD26 so I feel sure I'm not pregnant. Why does TTC play havoc with AF? I don't understand the science behind it

@trippingoverrainbows no need to take test as af came today and at the wrong time too as on holiday tomorrow so not a happy bean

I'm terrified to try too. I was
8 days over then I had 2 days of brown spotting and one day of blood. Normal AF is one day spotting then three days heavy flow then one day light.

I'm now a week past that and feeling normal, it's just that when I was pregnant with DD I had what I thought was a period the first month and didn't actually know I was pregnant until I was 10 wks. But I don't want to test.

@kellydjpiper I know how you feel being too scared to test. Maybe leave it a few more days then pluck up the courage?

This happens to me too constantly as I have long and irregular cycles, will keep everything crossed for you

Can I join? Used to be every 28 days on dot, then last month I was 2 days late and tested but BFN- wondered a bit if it was psychological as I was going away for the weekend and period was bad timing. I came on day 30 however. This month it's day 31 and I have horrible period pains but no blood. Tests are negative but so frustrated why I'm so irregular last couple of months

I always start my period with the first 2 or 3 days of the brown old spotting, then the normal period for a couple of days. Last month i had a heavy spotting of the old blood on the sunday, then nothing until the wed and thereafter it was normal. This month i was due on Friday there which i woke up to as i expected but were now on day 5 and its still just the old blood spotting. I always get sore boobs a couple of days before but as soon as that first day of spotting comes that disappears. This month though they're very swollen and sore and have been since a week past Sunday. No hint of a line on the pee stick last thurs or today.

Whys my body doing this, is it broken?

I came onto the conception thread to type this exact same post and found this at the top of the board, please can I join in.

I am 43 TTC#1 having difficulty cycle god knows how long 3 years (once the clinic messed up dates and left it too late) to get IVF on NHS, saving up to go private and I am panicking for a few reasons.

I am bang on regular 28 day cycle with one month in the past 5+years where I was day 29. I am now CD34 and tested on CD 32 and a BFN.

I've been too scared to buy a test and test again for a multitude of reasons, too scared if it's negative again after getting my hopes up, too scared that I might be peri-menopausal (but would it be late like this or just skip a cycle?) I am beyond desperate for a child now and feel like I am so scared to do anything about it (lots of back info).

I am not sure what to do really, will go buy HPT and test again, just wanted to join in, watching this thread with interest.

wish someone would help me I was meant to be af but have had nothing for 2days now and have no idea what's going on?! I have been feeling tired(more tired then normal) for about the past few weeks now but thought nothing of it. but the last week or so certain smells make me feel Nassau's/feeling like I wanna be sick and duno why and get occasional cramps but thought nothing of it. Have been off the pill since January and normally regular with af but nothing atm. what advice would you give?!

From Wednesday onwards, no real symptoms.
Thursday had some very sad news so think my mind was well off the pregnancy spotting.
Af always 26-28days
Had pinkish spotting after bd sat night. Thought, that's it she's on her way.
Sunday... nothing 🤔 few cramps on/off in evening.
Today I have brown spotting. Cd27
So I'm assuming af will be with me tomorrow, but it doesn't usually take 4days to arrive and I've had very little on/off cramping today. Af usually causes a constant cramp for a good 24hrs.
Had a bfn Saturday morning. Not bothered testing since.
In the back of my mind there's a teeny chance this is actually implantation but i know if I retest it's going to be bfn.

I need to test tomorrow anyway and let the hospital know where we're at.
So disappointed and so confused. I can only assume all the stress has just messed me up in general 😕

Thanks for the reply @Frizzy1986 I will leave it a few days and test again. So annoying that everyone is different and has different symptoms as makes trying to understand what is going on really difficult

My last period was similar. I was 3 days late and started with very pale pink for 2 days, then it started to go a deeper brownish red, but fairly light. It wasn't until day 4 that it got red for maybe 2 days and then it was light for a few more.
My usual are 4-5 days and are heavy by the end of day 1. They've been that was constantly for over 3 years. This one took forever to start and lasted just over a week!
I tested once it was over just to be sure as it had been so random and it was bfn as I assumed it would be.
I think people will say be wary of red blood as that implies it was af instead of implantation of some kind, but everyone is different.
I'd say if you go for worst case scenario, presume that was af and you know where you stand. If you are still questioning in a few more days/a week, then do another test to see.

Also feel really bloated

AF was due on the 14th, I started spotting pale pink blood for 3-4 days before having a period style bleed on day 5 red blood, and today a very light bleed with brown blood that has now stopped. Sorry if too much info. 3 BFN's but my periods are usually on time, heavy and last 5-7 days. Today I had some nausea, tiredness and hungry all the time... any thoughts?

Normally my period starts then gets very fast very quickly. Almost always need to wear full pad an tampon all day on the first day and I have nothing on atm. No cramp either.

Going to keep an eye on it today and tomorrow.

As I said we werent trying so not too worried if this is AF.

7dpo... twinges are now more cramps and mostly left sided.
Boobs were painful yesterday, but not so much today.
Back hurts.

Waves of needing to lay down. But I'm on my feet all day so very difficult 😐

Hoping these are all good signs.

I've had a couple of chemicals before.
So I can't decide whether to test early or not. I kinda want to know if the IUI worked, but I also want to avoid getting excited at an early bfp incase it's another chemical 🤦🏻‍♀️

27 day cycle.
AF due yesterday
Tested yesterday morning - BFN

Slept until almost lunch today (unheard of as I'm a 6am riser) and been too tired to do much for the last few days
Have been horrifyingly bloated for 2-3 days
Have had a funny feeling in my tummy which is how i feel if i try to read in the car (best description I can think of)

(TMI alert - sorry!!) My cervical mucus seems to be be white and thin with a musky smell.

Haven't tested today because everu now and then I have a 28 day cycle but this is all so unusual. I don't normally go for symptom spotting but even DH has said being this bloated and exhausted is out of character

I'm 6 days late. Not tested as have no symptoms and we weren't ttc but starting to wonder as my period tracking app is telling me I am over.

Plus I am weirdly exactly synched with the girl I sit next to at work (we realised a few months back) to the day, and she came on last Wednesday.
