I have been having some very light bleeding that lasted two to three days but I'm right in the middle of my cycle, my last period was nearly two weeks ago. I took this test five minutes ago.

 Sending moral support @CollyWombles
Thanks

I'm okay. It's hard to believe the pregnancy has ended, today I woke up with sore boobs. I know it has though, levels cant drop that low and then rise again.

I knew it was coming. After the scan and my bloods, whilst I waited for the results I took another clear blue digital and it said not pregnant. That hurt but meant I was kind of prepared for the phone call.

I don't really know what to expect now. I have miscarried before at 8 weeks, I couldn't have been more than 3 weeks this time though. Dr said I would probably just start my period as normal.

DH and I don't know what to do now. He had started getting his head around the idea. All the reasons we had for not having a 5th don't seem so important at the moment. However it's one thing to want a baby because it's already happened, it's another thing to want a baby before it's happened. I know how much it hurt to see that not pregnant and I know how upset DH felt when there was nothing to be seen on the scan. That alone, isn't reason to have another.

@CollyWombles big hugs my sweets , this was me exactly a week ago I tested positive on digitals etc for a few days , was a week late then the tests for fainter and my hcg dropped to four I started bleeding that night, I'm cd 8 now ... it crushed me and I still have a little cry despite it being so early a loss is a loss.. I'm just clinging to the fact that I've seen some stuff online to say u can ovulate earlier / be more fertile after an early loss...so we decided to not let it take the wind out of our sails and started dtd every other day when bleeding stopped the other day. Sending u so much love. It is truly shit

Grumblepants · 01/06/2018 14:38

I hope Friday goes well for you and I can understand where you oh is coming from but you do what you want.

CollyWombles · 30/05/2018 22:18

I did another clear blue digital and it's still saying 1-2 weeks. I'm sure it should be 2-3 by now. Friday feels like a lifetime away and I'm scared of what I might, or rather might not, see.

Mumof3cheeky · 29/05/2018 20:11

Good luck! Let us know how scan went X

CollyWombles · 26/05/2018 22:11

Fun day in a&e with abdomen and back pain. Hospital pregnancy test was positive. I was then scanned and I have a cyst on an ovary likely to be causing the pain. No pregnancy seen, but thickening of the womb. Due back on 1st of June to see if a sac can be seen. Scanner lady said I'm either very early on or my period was a miscarriage. Time will tell.

I can see his fears as well, I'm sure anyone could see them as valid. But that doesn't mean you won't find a way. Do what YOU feel is right. You'll always find support here and I'm sure your friends and families. Sending you love and support :)

CollyWombles · 26/05/2018 13:25

Thank you. I need to remind myself that I'm pretty much an old hand at this and he isn't. All his fears are totally valid as him not wanting to have a baby in general. But it's done, there is a baby. And even if I thought about abortion was the right thing to do, I don't think I could physically take something that would end a life. My children are the best things to happen to me, I've no doubt this baby, if it sticks, will be the same.

Congratulations Colly! Wish you all the luck and strength! X

DaisyMay25 · 26/05/2018 10:31

@CollyWombles congrats I'm glad you're not choosing to abort it because it's what he wants. I'm sorry it's not the ideal situation for you. I hope he sees sense though.

CollyWombles · 26/05/2018 09:46

Just posted this on completely the wrong thread. I have woken up feeling strong this morning and if this baby sticks, I will be having it. DH is welcome to leave if he cannot handle it. I love him but I love my children more, unborn or here. This is their half sibling. I raised 4dc on my own with the four being 6 years and under for 4 years until I met DH. I can raise them all on my own.

The clear blue digital OPK result was a 0 but actually looking at the stick, the line was almost as dark as the control. Almost. I've never used the digikit before, only reason I tried the OPK was to see if I was ovulating as perhaps an explanation of the slight bleeding.

FoxyRoxy · 25/05/2018 23:12

@CollyWombles if an opk was completely negative then there's a possibility that you're not pregnant as the hormone they test for (LH) is very similar to HCG and I'd have thought it would have been positive also. Get a FRER and test with that before you get totally stressed out. Also, it's not entirely your fault, you and your DH are jointly responsible for what happens as a result of an act you both willingly partake in. xxx

CollyWombles · 25/05/2018 22:17

I will get a test in the morning. If i am pregnant, DH doesn't want it. I can understand why, he worries about money as it is with my 4dc, I have had two bouts of severe depression and will take antidepressants at a maintenance dose for the rest of my life. I have no idea if I could continue to be on them during a pregnancy. Two of my DC have special needs. My youngest is 8, eldest is 13. We have a 9 week old puppy, a 13 year old rescue dog, three hamsters. I can totally understand his point of view. DH is also a recovering alcoholic, having been sober for nearly a year.

The likelihood, if I am pregnant, is an abortion. I can't bear the thought of that but I also couldn't bring a child into the world that isn't wanted by a parent.

This is totally my fault. I should have got the copper coil sorted sooner.

Definitely positive, bit is it possible you have actually had a miscarriage, which is what the period was? Could take a while for the hormones to leave you.

Cakelaur · 25/05/2018 21:56

That's a definite line!! Congrats @CollyWombles

hammeringinmyhead · 25/05/2018 21:54

I had what I thought was a 3-day period on the 3rd March and tested positive (I was 6-7 weeks) on 25th March. I think it was just extremely heavy implantation.

Hopskipjumping · 25/05/2018 21:48

Looks positive. I would get a FRER test.
