I lost my baby on the 8th December. They would be due 17th July. I want to try now but when I got upset once about it, I said I wouldn't try till their due date. Would I be disgusting to start trying now? Please reply

Lilimum4 · 07/06/2018 23:08

OK just ordered the cream fx it works if not I'll feel good x

Cakelaur · 07/06/2018 23:05

@littleemma1 not sure if someone else has explained. Progesterone cream stops oestrogen kicking in, which improves chances of implantation and carrying bub. My temps were really rocky after ov, which suggests low progesterone. I rubbed the cream twice a day from 3dpo -12dpo. (Stopped to allow af to show) it never showed got my bfp at 15dpo and started again 15dpo and still using it now. First pregnancy mmc at 6+4 (found out at 8+5) this one successful (so far)
And pineapple core thins the blood a little which makes for a better environment for implantation.
Both are worth a shot in my opinion. Took a year to get my first bfp (which I lost) then 3 cycles to get my second bfp (1st cycle with pineapple and progesterone)

Lilimum4 · 07/06/2018 23:02

@Cakelaur thanks placing the order now. One last question do apply the cream to your tummy or doesn't it matter where

Cakelaur · 07/06/2018 22:58

@Lilimum4 yup that's the one. I bought it from wellsprings themselves. Was about £25 from memory. I'm still using it now 12 weeks into pregnancy. Going to stop once my sickness stops/around 14weeks (whichever comes first)

@Boboelephant I'm SOOO excited that you've DTD so many times AND you've got progesterone cream!! Eek!!!! And 3 dpo! Perfect. Get the cream and the pineapples!! Whoop!!!

zarala · 07/06/2018 22:45

@littleemma1 and @Boboelephant
They sell this at H&B www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/holland-barrett-bromelain-tablets-500mg-60007410?skuid=007410&&utmmedium=cpc&utmsource=google&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqOmw58DC2wIVab7tCh0MRQtoEAQYASABEgLtjDBwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

What do you guys think? Could this be a substitute for gagging on pineapple core???

@HidCat my bbt thermometer arrived today too- is it too late to use this month- I am cd9 today - does anyone know??

@KnitKitty yes JKS! It's never too early!!!
And wow! I'm sorry for everything you had to
Go through! But yay for happy ending- I really hope you get an even happier ending soon ! 🌈

@L1zz13 I agree with @Boboelephant's advice...I hope you guys work it out - must be so difficult and isolating! Sending hugs

So did OPK this morning and was negative but this evening have definite ewmc- so hmm! Do I do another OPK, oh wise ones??

Off for JKS now! Night! 🤸🏽‍♀️🙌🏽💕

Lilimum4 · 07/06/2018 22:36

@KnitKitty omg you are truely amazing. I'm all down in the dumps but compared to what you have been through ( I will just stop moaning and think myself lucky). You really deserve your little miracle and I really hope it happens soon for you xx

KnitKitty · 07/06/2018 22:08

Lilimum It's having two separate uterus...es? uteri?

Some women also have two separate cervix with it as well although I just had the one. One of my uteruses was joined to the other with no outlet. It meant I had EXTREMELY painful periods when I was a teenager. At first the blood was backing up my fallopian tube and caused the cyst which killed off my ovary, however when they removed the ovary on that side they also tied off the fallopian tube and so the menstrual blood had nowhere to go and I ended up in A&E on morphine for my period pain several times. They eventually removed it after a few years because I just couldn't live with the pain anymore. (They hadn't wanted to remove it as it was stuck to my bowel and I may have needed a colostomy bag for the rest of my life). But the fairy tale ends well, the surgery was successful, so I now have one working ovary, a working (if slightly deformed) womb and my bowel is in tact. I also know I can get pregnant because I had a little miracle earlier this year. I just need another little miracle to prove I can carry to term and have a rainbow baby now!

HidCat · 07/06/2018 21:54

@KnitKitty wow! Had to google it but I have heard of that before. I bet that came as a shock when you found out!

Lilimum4 · 07/06/2018 21:53

@KnitKitty what is that if you don't mind me asking

Mistymeow · 07/06/2018 21:46

Thanks @boboelephant I think I've made a right mess! Going to stop charting and will start again next month, it's been causing me stress and I don't think that's what I need right now x

Lilimum4 · 07/06/2018 21:39

@Boboelephant I found one on eBay called wellspring's serenity progesterone cream. Its a white tube with a yellow flower printed on the side. Is this the one

KnitKitty · 07/06/2018 21:24

Lilimum4 and boboelephant I'm joining the only one working ovary club. My left one was removed when I was 14 alongside a ginormous endometriotic cyst. I worry about my remaining one hitting problems, but I got pregnant the second month of trying when I came off the pill so I find that encouraging. As far as I can tell I still ovulate every month. Usually one makes up for the other if it's not working properly. :) I also have a didelphic uterus but I doubt anyone else here has that. Confused

Boboelephant · 07/06/2018 21:05

L1zz13 I'm so sorry you are going through this. As others have said might he just need some time? I think you guys absolutely have to find a way to talk about it as the resentment will eat you alive. I'm a bit sad by you saying that only you have to put your wants and needs aside and accept his. Marriage is a two-way street and both your opinions need to be considered. It sounds like a tough road and I hope you guys can sort it out.
@littleemma1 haha nowhere gross! You just rub it into fat and thin areas on rotation- arms, belly, thighs, face etc.
@Lilimum4 I bought it online. It's called wellsprings progesterone cream. Cost £20 and £5 delivery and takes about a week to arrive. You start using it once you have ovulated. So sorry to hear about your ovary. It sucks doesn't it. I only have one tube after my other one rupturing with my ectopic and it causes me worry. If it makes you feel better all the docs think that I can still conceive- and I did although sadly ended in the MMC- but shows it can happen. Hopefully your right ovary will step up for you!!

For those of you who have only just had a MC if it makes you feel better to just go with the flow absolutely do that!! I have only stepped up with trying everything because as I said- I only have one tube left, I'm getting older and we've been trying for #2 for 18 months. I would love to be able to go back to the stress free ttc that I conceived DS and my EP with.

Lilimum4 · 07/06/2018 20:46

Hello ladies this progesterone cream how does it work, where do you use it and where do you get it from. I've had a call from my doctor telling me that my left ovary is basically shot and at this point I'm willing to give anything a go including standing on my head for an hour after DTD. Any other suggestions are more then welcome ( already doing pre seed, pineapple and no raw veg)

hayleyfx · 07/06/2018 20:29

@L1zz13 I’m sorry you’re struggling so much hun. I hope you and your OH find a way around this and hopefully he feels able to continue TTC. Sending you lots of hugs. I hope you’re feeling better soon Flowers

@weasledee also sending love to you too. Sorry you’re having a rough time. I really hope it happens for you this month, I’ll keep everything crossed 🤞

To those in the TWW and FW sending you all lots of luck!!

Pancakes7 · 07/06/2018 20:21

@littleemma Yeah when I got my bfp I am not sure when I ovulated... but my app thought it would be day 14 and we dtd 4 times before that day and got the bfp so maybe the app was right? That was my first and only af since pill. So my body's a mystery lol. Really hoping I get lucky and have no af. Fx we both ovulate soon and get our bfp's!!

littleemma1 · 07/06/2018 20:15

@Pancakes7 funny you should say that as I’ve noticed I’ve felt rather “excited” today so I’m hoping ovulation is just around the corner for me. I tested yesterday and there was barely a line but when I got my BFP I ovulated on day 20 and I’m only day 16 xx

Pancakes7 · 07/06/2018 20:09

After saying I wouldn't...I feel like I am ovulating soon as higher sex drive. So I took an ovulation test and had a faint positive result! Sop excited that I'm ovulating already. I guess I take it each day and when I ovulate it'll get darker? I'm new to tracking...

KnitKitty · 07/06/2018 19:35

Mistymeow Yes it's an app and/or website. :)
Thanks for the suggestion Pancakes7!

Interesting zarala maybe it does indicate earlier ovulation? Will make sure to start JKSing early on this cycle in case.

Hidcat yes, I'm feeling much more my old self again. I've been attacking the negative with all my might. Got affirmations and mantras going on morning and evening, reading self help books and now started this Headspace. I had an excellent day at work today and I'm sure it's just because I'm in a different frame of mind. :)

HidCat · 07/06/2018 19:09

@weasledee sorry to hear you're feeling so down. I hope you feel a bit more positive soon. If you stopped trying would you go back onto contraception or just leave it?

@KnitKitty sounds like you're in a much better place. Might have to try this headspace...

@littleemma1 eek - let the countdown begin!

@L1zz13 I hope your OH comes around. He may just be struggling to deal with it.

BBT thermometer arrived today so will start charting and JKS every couple of days. Going to try to be relaxed this month and no early tests so hopefully no early testing lol. Period is finally in full swing too so no questioning whether or not it's implantation! Going to have a drink tonight and relax.

Pancakes7 · 07/06/2018 18:31

Thanks @Boboelephant I am not really tracking just hoping it'll happen like last time. Luckily dh is on board. Even more so than last time as he wants it even more now since mc. Which is handy as I hate being pushy and nagging him to dtd. My main aim is to be pregnant before my December due date as otherwise I think I'll really struggle. So 6 months to get my bfp! Fx! I may try the pineapple thing if no luck in a couple of months. This thread is really helping, knowing I'm not alone in this. Thanks ladies! Big hugs for everyone having a hard day and fx for us all to get our babies soon!! 🐧

littleemma1 · 07/06/2018 17:50

@Boboelephant interesting on the progesterone cream. Where do you rub it?! 🤣🤔😳
Not so keen on the pineapple core idea as they’re rank 🤮
I am in two minds on what to do about trying again. I’m tempted to JKS like my life depends on it and not track til after the wedding and take some pressure off, but at the same time I also want to track because if I do ovulate and don’t conceive I don’t want AF on the honeymoon. That’d be a disaster. I have some nortiserone from before being pregnant which I can take to delay my period if she hasn’t shown up by then but I hope I don’t need them.
Gah. So many decisions.

Hope everyone else is well. It’s so hard keeping track of where everyone is. I don’t even know where I am myself most days and this thread moves FAST 🤣

@L1zz13 I really think you two should consider counselling, either way I really hope you work it out. It sounds like a horrible situation to be in. Sending hugs.

L1zz13 · 07/06/2018 17:37

There is no point in talking to my hubbo. He is an emotional black hole.
A practical sort of sensible wanker ( ooh did I say that out loud?!?) who does not want to endure my impact on the family should we not have a successful pg. FFS! Selfish C**T.
Soz feeling angry on top of grief and depression!
I think feeling cheated and being controlled comes to mine tbh

However putting what I feel and want aside ultimately I have to respect his feelings and work hard on not resenting him.

My fingers are so crossed for you lovely ladies.

OP posts:
Boboelephant · 07/06/2018 17:18

@weasledee I hope it happens for you this month hun! How long have you been trying for this last one now?
@Pancakes7 good luck. Hope it works!
@YellowDaffodils86 ooh sounds close!! Hope it happens today!! Yeah I know. The tww is bad enough!
@TedLife no worries. They take a bit of getting used to. Esp as with a preg test any line is a positive whereas with an opk quite a dark line can still be negative.
@littleemma1 exciting for your wedding!!! Pineapple core contains bromelain which apparently can thicken uterine lining and encourage implantation if you eat from 1dpo to 5dpo.
I am just trying progesterone cream this month which hopefully keeps your progesterone high. Again to try and avoid the drop in progesterone which comes before af. @Cakelaur used it (and got a bfp!)and we noticed on my charts that my temp starts going down around 10dpo which makes it hard for baby to implant if oestrogen is rising. So fx hey!
