@Primrose16 lovely to hear things are going well with you!

@Boboelephant love the lantern idea! And the fitness plan! Seriously this weather has really just made me realise how desperately I need to get back into some kind of fitness regime! So I'm with you on that one!!!
I have another 2 weeks until all my results come through so I'm still just waiting waiting - it's been quite freeing to be honest- because I know as soon as I get on that TTC bus I'm gonna be anxious and crazy and everything that i shouldn't be 🙄

@hayleyfx congratulations!!! Wonderful news! Fx for you! I know there are some more bfps? Or tentative ones!?? Sorry I haven't fully been following this week- but I'll catch up I promise!

MrsGS76 · 27/05/2018 19:53

@HidCat - real quote written on my notes! Last baby was at 37 and I don't remember them making too much of a fuss with me!
@strawberrye - yep I realise MW was not meaning to be rude , I was going to enjoy the extra attention xxx

Reading these posts I've learnt so much about EWCM & CM , I never thought of tracking it. I tracked my temp last time but this timewith all my new knowledge , I'm going to do everything! It's so informative reading 'real life' stories about how we all ovulate and conceive etc without having to google everything!!

Also as much as I'm trying to be good with eating, exercise etc , if I slip I feel bad?
Anyone else feel as though if you don't do all the 'right' things , then it will seriously affect your chances of having a baby? X

Sending hugs to all xx Smile

strawberrye · 27/05/2018 18:49

@MrsGS76 geriatric pregnancy is a rather old fashioned term for pregnancy aged >35 years - I'm sure the midwife didn't mean to offend but not the most sensitive turn of phrase!

YellowDaffodils86 · 27/05/2018 18:23

@Boboelephant sorry you have been feeling down. Its hard when milestones occur. Lanterns sound nice. You never know what the next month will hold. I know i seems like its an up hill battle, bu nobody has said never ever. Focus on the fact that you every chance, and it will be your turn.
I signed up to SlimmingWorld yesterday and plan to get back to swimming etc. Fed up with the winter pounds iv packed on. I do feel that im taken comfort in eating lately too.
So fitter healthy and pregnant sound like good goals!

@hayleyfx What a line. Congratulations xx

@Jessabean Still time.

@RedRobin7 its hard when everyone seems pregnant around you. Hope u have a nice holiday. Its nice you can use MN to help with things. Hope you have felt better today

HidCat · 27/05/2018 18:21

@DaisyMay25 those cats are gorgeous! So jealous right now!

@MrsGS76 Geriatric! Harsh! I'd seen a thread on here labelled as geriatric but assumed it was tongue in cheek.

MrsGS76 · 27/05/2018 17:35

@RedRobin7 thanks for your kind words , You were strong to have the surgical procedure but I'm sure comforted by the fact your other half was there - brave both of you!! after some small stringy brown bits yesterday I've only spotted a bit today. Was hoping it was my first AF after MC so I can start planning again! Good luck to all the ladies on here, definitely feeling the positivity be vibes . Only thing I'm not looking forward to when being pregnant again is being referred to as being geriatric!! Anyone else being referred to as that by midwife?? I'm only 42 !! Not 82!! Xx

DaisyMay25 · 27/05/2018 17:33

Cats make everything better! Hope everyone has been having a nice bank holiday!

@penguingirl the reliable thing for me has been the cervical mucus being stretchy like egg whites (not to be confused with real egg whites - but that was another thread). You can try using opks, they're cheap enough on Amazon to start with but don't work for everyone. Also, if your sleep patterns are regular you could try monitoring your body temperature. Lots of ladies on here are great with that!

penguingirl · 27/05/2018 17:22

Wow, so many posts since I was here last!
Oh @cleozeta I'm so sorry to see you here, I remember you from the 40+ antenatal thread Flowers
So happy to see so many positive stories from the last few days, helps me to keep my hopes up. Congratulations to those of you with bfp's and lovely scans.
I feel like I'm so old compared to everyone else though!! What I was optimistically thinking may be implantation bleeding last week then turned in to fairly heavy bleeding and clots the next day, but then spotting again yesterday. Had a bfn this morning so I guess this is post miscarriage early af/body getting back to normal. I just hope so much that I ovulate again at some point. Although I've always just relied on a periodtracker ap rather than done anything to track when I ovulate so I don't know the first thing about how to do this Blush Sad

Cleozeta · 27/05/2018 17:20

Thank you everyone. Will wait and see if I get any more. Also having a scan on Tuesday to see if the retained products have gone. I really hope I ov soon, as I want this episode over now!

RedRobin7 · 27/05/2018 16:59

@Cleozeta I bled for 3 weeks after my surgery (mostly light brown but with clots every couple of days) and was still getting a positive test so I had to go back for another scan to check what was going on. They told me on the Tuesday that my ovary was getting ready to ovulate and then I ovulated on the Thursday - so it is possible. I finally tested negative the following Monday.

They did say I shouldn't be having sex until all bleeding had stopped though, including the light brown spotting.

Boboelephant · 27/05/2018 16:50

@KnitKitty yep it's hard! Especially when Ben and Jerry's is so delicious!! We'll get there though. Fit, healthy and pregnant! These are the goals!
@strawberrye hope you had a lovely holiday. Hopefully fw isn't over yet but well done on the PMA!
@hayleyfx eeeee!!! I'm so happy for you and hope it's a sticky one for you!
@Primrose16 so glad all is going well for you and it's great that you know the midwife. Not too long now until you're into your second trimester. 😀
@cleozeta I'm not too sure but I'd get JKS'ing just in case!
@UnicornsandRainbows1 hey there!! How are you going? Where are you up to now? Are you up to 20 weeks?

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 27/05/2018 16:22

@Cleozeta I didn't have ewcm mixed with brown but I did have a tiny amount of hcg still left and still got faint positives til a week or so before I got another positive for this pregnancy. It's slim but it's definitely possible if it's a small amount

HidCat · 27/05/2018 16:12

It's possible to ovulate with hcg in your system though how much, I don't know. If you're wanting to try straight away then it's a good idea to assume you are about to.

Cleozeta · 27/05/2018 16:07

Quick question - is it possible to ovulate while still spotting from mc? I had main part of mc 2 weeks ago but still had retained products afterwards. Did a preg test the other day and its still faint +
Today I had ewcm mixed with brown. Just wondering if it could be start of fw or if it could just be part of mc. Anyone have this after their mc?

Lilimum4 · 27/05/2018 14:45

@hayleyfx I'm so happy for you. Please keep us up to date. Its so good to hear a happy story for a change. Also all the other bfp's in this group, I'd love to hear how you are all getting on

Primrose16 · 27/05/2018 14:44

@Boboelephant I’m sorry that you are feeling crap. TTC is so bloody hard and such a emotional rollercoaster. It does seem like everyone’s pregnant when your having a hard time. Unfollow people on Facebook- that what I did and made me feel so much better. Try and stay positive- I know it’s hard.
I’m 9.3 weeks now. Got my first midwife app on Friday. It’s the same midwife I had with my daughter so she knows about my previous losses and she has read up on my notes so knows about these 2 this year.

hayleyfx · 27/05/2018 14:02

@DaisyMay25 thank you! I really hope it’s not af but if it is then fingers crossed for your next cycle 🤞

@KnitKitty @strawberrye thank you both! Hopefully there’s an uneventful 8 months ahead 😊🤞

Still in disbelief!! Just going to take it one day at a time, calling doctor tomorrow to book midwife appointment etc. Hope this one sticks. Regardless of what happens though I’m sticking around to make sure you all get your bfp’s! You all deserve a BFP and a sticky bean 🤞

strawberrye · 27/05/2018 13:01

Hello all! Not been on mumsnet for a few days as I've been on holiday, now so much to catch up on!

Congratulations @hayleyfx on your BFP and any other BFPs out there recently.

I'm sorry to see so many new names and to hear so many of you are having a particularly rough patch at the minute.

I have just been on holiday without DH and typically I think I had my fertile week whilst I was away so I'm pretty sure we're out this month Hmm. However I'm surprising myself at not being too down about that, not sure why. Partly the lovely sunshine we have had this weekend, and partly acceptance that this TTC road is going to be longer and rockier than I ever anticipated? I'm hoping this positive mental attitude continues, and for now I'm going by the JKS motto!

KnitKitty · 27/05/2018 12:48

Boboelephant You've just reminded me I need to exercise today. It's so easy to get out of good habits, isn't it! I've recently been devouring far too much Ben and Jerry's Peanut Buttercup Ice cream. I have forbidden myself any now and trying to cut down on other sugary foods and cut down my portion sizes. Feeling fit does help make me feel more positive, if nothing else.
Chinese lanterns sound like a lovely idea.

HidCat · 27/05/2018 12:45

@DaisyMay25 I keep meaning to visit the cat cafe in Cardiff! Let me now how it goes!

Boboelephant · 27/05/2018 12:35

@KnitKitty thankyou! Thats a comfort. The first one is a non working day so lots of cuddles with DS and the second our friends are coming for the weekend so if no bfp by then, a lot of drinking. DH and I are going to let some Chinese lanterns off as well to say goodbye. We didn't do it last year (I was in a bit of denial still) and I want to say goodbye to the first bub properly too. Glad you're feeling a bit more positive and fx for next month for you if no miracle this time.
@DaisyMay25 enjoy your cat cafe! 🤣

I just went to Zumba in boiling non air conditioned room so exhausted but at least feeling satisfied. It hasn't escaped my attention (as much as I've tried) that the 3 times I've gotten pregnant I was about a stone lighter than now. It's so hard as every month I don't get pregnant I just think well screw it I may as well enjoy the booze. And then I eat! So it's hard to be really focused on losing the winter weight. But I will do it! I've put it out there now. Team healthy Bobo!!

LilacIris · 27/05/2018 12:21

I went to a cat cafe a few years ago and loved it. I’d love to run my own one in the future.

KnitKitty · 27/05/2018 11:57

Amazing DaisyMay25! Pictures please! :D

Cakelaur · 27/05/2018 11:56

@DaisyMay25 my house is like a cat cafe! 😂 they're bloody everywhere!! Haha! And a puppy and a bearded dragon and a 12 year old!! Haha!! It's like a zoo!!! Any one welcome any time!! Haha
