@Boboelephant scan went fine, they said everything is fine so no idea why I get pain. It was weird seeing my ovaries!

@L1zz13 I've suffered from depression for a very long time but after mc I get seem to snap out of it. I completely understand how you feel, my life is very much routine. I'm always tired too because of the crappy mood. I'm glad you've gone and sought help though, that's a huge step. I really hope you start to feel better soon Thanks

MrsGS76 · 04/06/2018 19:30

@L1zz13 , I can totally relate, felt really down after my MC, in an instant so many future memories/events were taken away from me. For weeks I found it really hard to do jobs like housework, shopping etc. I really could not find any joy in anything! Time is definitely a healer. I am also receiving counselling which felt weird at first but it's definitely helped. Has your DH had any counselling or had anyone to talk to besides you. There should be a 'dadsnet'. Fx for you. Xx

@HidCat your pain sounds awful, I've never really experienced AF pains/cramp and I hope it doesn't start! I've had one AF after MC and it was quite light so fx my cycle is back to normal xx

Pancakes7 · 04/06/2018 18:45

@HidCat I hope you feel better soon. Was your last af painful too? Implantation can cause a pain but it shouldn't last from what I've read. Maybe it is just pms cramps but its worse than normal as your body is still settling from mc. I hope it goes soon.

Pancakes7 · 04/06/2018 18:43

@HidCat Yes I am feeling more positive. I am hoping that we can get trying soon and get a BFP asap. It does feel akward now that so many people know we must be trying. The directors at myn work know as I had to tell my boss... I have been doing headspace for 5 days now which GP recommended. It is really helping me. It makes me feel so calm when I've done it.

L1zz13 · 04/06/2018 18:43

@HidCat ❤️
My second AF was quite painful xx more than it should have been.

@Boboelephant thank for your kind words. Do you think I'm over thinking things. Omg I'm driving my self up the wall

HidCat · 04/06/2018 18:32

@L1zz13 I was really down for about 4 mths after my MC. I know for many it takes a lot longer. Bizarrely I've now found a new lease of life that I haven't felt in quite a long time before I was even pregnant. Dealing with your OH being disinterested can't be helping. Do you think he's struggling too?

@TedLife I hope you're ok after your baby bomb. I had the same - a colleague with their due date the same week as mine. It's hard to deal with but easier if you don't have to see them all the time.

@Pancakes7 it sounds like you're feeling a bit more positive. Long may it continue.

I've only had one period since my MC and had horrendous PMS. I've had a fairly easy month but now that my period is due I'm getting horrendous cramps again. Regardless of whether it's implantation or period related it just doesn't feel right. I feel like I'm being stabbed in the pelvis front to back and on both sides. It comes and goes. Implantation is supposed to be painless and I've never felt period cramps like this before. Has anyone else experienced it?

Pancakes7 · 04/06/2018 17:57

@TedLife Oh that is harsh. But you will get there! I am just hoping no one I know gets pregnant as I think it would upset me alot. Luckily at my work I don't think anyones really at that stage in life or older. Glad I have got one day out of the way. I didn't cry which is good. Bleedings stopped again. I just want it to be friday and get a bfp and get ttc-ing!!

L1zz13 · 04/06/2018 17:56

Sorry subject change bomb ...

Does anyone help feel super depressed after your mc?
I'm being proactive and have sought help. Got a counsellor that I'm trying out and a wonderful physio that treats me for stress/anxiety while she treats my joint problem.
I feel like all the joy has disappeared from my life! I force myself to carry on do the things I know I enjoy but it's all an act!
Some days are worse than others - today has been okay.

I think my last pg was it. Hubbo not really on board now. Although too frightened to discuss it with him properly. He doesn't do emotional stuff. It's not on his skills cv.
Got a real battle ahead of me I think.

@Pancakes7 hope you're doing ok, I remember that time off from work and feeling awkward when I returned. I decided not to tell them what it was and the doctor wrote me a note for something else but it was a lonely time. Hopefully you had a busy day and were able to put it out of your mind.

A colleague announced in our Monday morning meeting today that she was pregnant and it felt like a punch in the stomach all over again as i would probably have been telling them this morning about mine had it gone well. It's funny how it keeps coming back in unexpected ways.

AF just finished today so we'll start TTC from next weekend again. Just trying to look forward now and stop looking back.

Boboelephant · 04/06/2018 17:32

Also...
@zarala frer are the most sensitive. Opks I use the Amazon cheapies- one step. I used to use CB but this is a long journey for me. I find the cheapies fine but you have to test more than once a day.
@Lilimum4 I'm so sorry it seems like bad news. And so rubbish they gave you no feedback. Hope Friday week goes ok.
@HidCat I hope it's just implantation!!!
@Anyday88 I hope it's a symptom for you. I'm a terrible symptom spotter and unfortunately it could be preg symptom and it could be af symptom. Ive had them all! Try and be patient a few more days.
@Pancakes7 I'm glad today went ok.

Boboelephant · 04/06/2018 17:17

@DaisyMay25 good luck with the SMEP. How did your scan go today?
@zarala how were your results??
@KeefBurtain and @MrsGS76 're temping. @Jessabean did a good summary! Main things- It's really important that you use a bbt thermometer and that you take temp as the first thing you do upon waking. No water, no talking etc. Also take it at the same time each day and if not possible within half hour. Those circles you have on ff rather than dots are because you are more than 30 min diff from one day to next. As a general rule pre ov temps are below 36.4 and post of above this. These can differ. Temping is brilliant to confirm ovulation but does not predict it. Opks are great to show you when ov is coming but you can ovulate up to 2 days after positive opk. Your temp generally spikes significant after ov so that confirms you ovulated the day before the temp spike. Ff will wait until you have had three temps in a row that are higher than the previous 6 temps to confirm ovulation. Hope that helps!

KeefBurtain · 04/06/2018 16:03

Thanks, I’ve ordered the right thermometre now!

PassTheAfterEights · 04/06/2018 15:30

Lightening quick post to say @keefburtain for TTC temping you need a basal thermometer, readily available on Amazon - and it's vital for accuracy that you check temp just as you wake up every morning; keep it by your bed!

MrsGS76 · 04/06/2018 15:08

@KeefBurtain I've also been tracking my temp on Fertility freind and it's all over the place! I'm hoping if there is meant to be an increase it will be over 37 as mine have been between 36.2 - 36.8. I'm using a digital mouth one. But I think the main one to use is the IPK's , I'm using clearblue advanced which gives you 4 days . It's been negative yesterday and today. No CM yet? Fx for you xx
@zarala glad it appears you've been given the all clear to start again. I'm using clear blue advanced ovulation kit which gives you 4 days , eating pineapple daily especially for 1dpo - 5dpo) white knickers to track CM and look out for ovulation bleeding, and in the past I've used the clear blue digital pregnancy test. Also taking pregnacare pregnancy vitamins (left over from prev preg which resulted in mc) Any off course using DH as much as possible for his part!! X
Good luck and take care xx

Thanks all for the good luck. Work is ok so far. Felt a bit wobbly this morning but busy which is good and no ones asked how I am as I think they all know I'm not ok...
@SerenaOverjoyed a break sounds like a good idea. Just relax and you may find the break gets your body relaxed enough for something to happen. I hope you enjoy your holiday.
@Anyday88 it's so hard not to symptom spot! I did it like crazy before my bfp. Very hard to not read into every little thing.

Anyday88 · 04/06/2018 13:10

I am trying my best not to symptom spot at 7dpo as it is still really early. However yesterday & today i have been going to the toilet for a no2 so many times. Not diarrhoea but just so many times a day. I thought it might have been something I'd eaten but I feel fine in myself.

Does anyone know if this is even an early pregnancy symptom? I know I am probably crazy and it is totally unrelated but 🤷🏼‍♀️

Fingers crossed for you @Hidcat.
Sorry you are feeling so rubbish @Lilimum4, hope you get some answers soon x

Lilimum4 · 04/06/2018 13:03

@HidCat yes a week on Friday. Its gonna drive me nuts truely.

HidCat · 04/06/2018 13:00

@Lilimum4 have they given you a follow up appointment? I hope they give you answers soon.

Lilimum4 · 04/06/2018 12:32

@KnitKitty hello hun sorry I didn't respond I've kind of been abit out of it since Friday. I'm all over the place. This scan today has knocked me down. Sonographer wouldn't tell me jack, but from the number of measurements and pictures she took I'm really worried. I also asked her if I ovulated because the opks showed very strong lines 5 days ago. She said it didn't look like it. So bummed now. Not sure what to do with my self now.

HidCat · 04/06/2018 12:31

@Cakelaur spotting is now a bit heavier and red so I think I'm probably out. If it doesn't kick in fully though I'll test in Wednesday as planned just in case it's heavy implantation.

Jessabean · 04/06/2018 12:25

@zarala hope all goes ok for you! Let us know how you get on. Hope he gives you the go ahead for JKS!

@Boboelephant & @KnitKitty thank you. Find this group has been helping lots so definitely want to stick around and try and give any support where I can back. Thinking this TTC break will be good for me mentally & feeling at peace with it at the mo. @Boboelephant you've def done all you can & fingers crossed for you for a successful TWW outcome! @KnitKitty good luck for you entering your new cycle & I hope things become less stressful for you work wise. I can definitely relate in the trying to balance work stress with TTC stress and the separate stress that combo brings to the table in itself. Don't be afraid to take time off if you need it though- it is still quite early days from our mc's in March. Sending big hugs 🐧

zarala · 04/06/2018 12:17

Hi guys
What is the most sensitive pregnancy test? Is it first response?
And what opks do you use?
I think I'm going to join u guys finally!
A bit nervous but I'm going to get the kit....
Any advice ? Thanks!

Jessabean · 04/06/2018 12:14

Hi @KeefBurtain I'm still fairly new to temping but I believe you need to use an oral thermometer & I think should be a digital one which measures to like .02 of a degree - so like 36.41 - for example. You can buy ones especially for doing bbt online from Amazon I know. That and needs to be done first thing in the morning when you've just woken up. It can be really sensitive I've found even things like a change in sleep pattern or being slightly hungover at all can alter it loads!
Things you're looking for though are a slight drop in temp as you're reaching ovulation and then a good peak after ovulation which 🤞should stay high for you if you conceive. Temp tends to drop just before AF happens if it not. Also some people find they get a drop if pg around the time of implantation.
Think that's it basically- def all I know on temping anyway! Good luck with it for this cycle! 🤞 I've found it has been useful to give an idea of what's happening.

KeefBurtain · 04/06/2018 12:03

How does temping work? I’ve downloaded fertility friend and have been taking my temp every morning since Thursday, but what am I looking for? There seems so be big spikes despite my temp only being different by 0.4 degrees. I only have a digital ear thermometer, do I need a different one?
