OPK, cm and ovulation help

I have short cycles of 25 days. Was on the pill until December but my cycle seems to have settled now.

First month I'm using OPKs. I'm cd8 today and read that I should start today. Barely there line, to be expected I think as I think my luteal phase is 11-12 days (guessing as not done temp or used OPK before)

But, I have ovulation cramps, had ewcm this morning and just been to the toilet and now have stretchy / watery cm (stretched about 1.5cm)

I'm going to start temping tomorrow (thermometer only arrived today). But what's going on? Am I gearing up to ovulate in the next couple of days or not?

I use ovia and it's predicting fertile week is next Monday but I feel like it's going to be sooner than that. Might explain why I've not had a sniff of a line these last few months! Help!

I'm feeling much better since we decided to stop trying. It's like a weight has been lifted. Am focusing on looking after myself. Have been reading a good booked about getting emotionally ready, so focusing on mindfulness and visualisation. And we're off to alton towers this week, which I couldn't do if I was pregnant and I'm looking forward to that. Just focusing on quality time together.

Sorry about the disappearing act. I've been camping in the Wye Valley for the past few days, and went to see Ed Sheeran last night in Cardiff (which was amazing!)

@VenusStarr Sorry to hear that AF reared her ugly head. I totally understand what you mean about temping becoming draining and obsessive. I've read so many post on MN and online that once you 'stop trying' it happens. I've my fingers crossed for you! xx

@Tinker315b, Massive congratulations to you!! We also had some great news (on my husband's birthday of all days) and had a BFP on the 24th. Can't quite believe it tbh Grin

Aw @VenusStarr Don't give up hope, I almost did and said after this month I was giving up everything. I hope you are ok, it really is the most mentally draining thing to ever go through. Big hugs to you Flowers xx

I'm stepping back from ttc now. My head isn't in the right place and feeling quite mentally drained by it.

Done 4 tests last night and 2 this morning and there all positive Smile. Stick with it ladies and stay as positive as you can! xx

aw no @VenusStarr on to the next cycle! Yea I wont be tracking anything this next cycle either, Im due Weds had what looks like an implantation dip yesterday morning and then a rise this morning so I unfortunately have my hopes up Sad. Well my girl is on holiday so not there now until the 4th, don't know what i'll do without it for 2 weeks lol x

Sounds like a good idea @Tinker315b. Af arrived yesterday, unsure if I was late or ontime as I was expecting it Thursday due to earlier ovulation. Am onto my next cycle anyway. I'm thinking I might just not track anything and see how we get on. The acupuncturist isn't that keen on me tracking bbt as she thinks it's stressful. Am due to see her next week. When you having more reflexology? X

@VenusStarr Yea apparently so, I just don’t know what would be causing the short LP. She didn’t mention anything about a dye test so I’m not sure.

I’m not really of much help on that one for you, sorry, hopefully it’s just a one off shorter LP. X

Glad your results are better this time. Does that mean your progesterone levels are OK as I know you were worried about them? @Tinker315b. 6 months wait is ages, is that to do the dye test? will the scan check everything out?

I'm almost certain I ovulated weekend of 2 June as had neatly positive opk and definite cramps. And my boobs were tender which only seems to have after ovulation for me. The following weekend I had no signs at all, other than a slight peak in temperature. I'm worried if I did ovulate later then my temperature has been up and down below the new coverline.

Will just have to wait. If no period by cd28 (18dpo according to me), I'll see if I can see the doctor and look at my chart. Boobs are still tender but that is it, no other symptoms at all x

@VenusStarr the doctor has literally just rang! Results came back at 30.8 which is higher than previous and she said 100% im ovulating which is good, she is referring me for further investigation to check tubes etc but the waiting time is 6 months wtf? So im definitely going to book a private scan for next week, no way am I waiting that length of time! Im 6dpo temp still high but I think im out as my result with the doctor would have been higher if pregnant!

No usually LP doesn't change but cycle length can so that could be maybe if you ovulated later? Im not sure about missed periods and how common or rare it is, sorry Sad x

No news from me. 13dpo and negative test and no period. I'm almost certain when my ovulation date was and last month luteal phase was 11 days - I didn't think that could change? Is it possible to miss a period if you have definitely ovulated do you know? Feeling frustrated.

Thank you @Tinker315b. Good about your dh's SA. Sorry to hear you're feeling down about it. I think sometimes doing stuff like scans and blood tests helps because you feel like you're doing something. I really hope this is your month :)

Still no sign of af, but in reality I'm only cd22 so it's too early but I ovulated early this month. I'm starting to wonder if I definitely did O on cd10. Been distracted today, been nice not thinking about it.

Let us know how you get on with your blood results x

@VenusStarr Don't lose hope yet, still time for it to show! I know what you mean, at that stage you just want an answer either way so you can almost mentally try and prepare for it.

Im good im 5 dpo so too early for anything, though im as dry as the desert lol, so I cant see that as a good sign. Waiting on my blood results tomorrow and my hubbys SA came back and its all ok so I just cant understand why 6 months on im still not pregnant and im having such regular cycles and very regular ovulation and timing is 100%, so I've decided im going to book a private scan for next week to get it pushed on as quick as possible! Just starting to get me down now Sad x

Thanks @Tinker315b, I've tested thus morning and squinted lots but don't think there anything there. My temp did drop 0.3 today but still quite above coverline. I think I'm 12dpo so I'd think it would show by now? Don't have any cramps or my usual pre-af signs. But the temperature drop suggests it will be coming soon I think. Just want to start the next cycle now.

I would do a test just to be sure @VenusStarr Sometimes EWCM can be a sign of early pregnancy symptoms, I don't want to get your hopes up but with EWCM and high temps then there is a possibility x

I'm confused, I've got ewcm on 11dpo. My temperatures are still high, I've attached my chart. No idea what's going on. Got no opks to check either. Do not feel like af is on the way, but am expecting it anytime between now and Sunday.

What do you guys think?
