TTC first baby cycle one! Anyone else out there?

@rosesandponies I set out to be relaxed about it but failed massively!! We bought our house and had a big holiday to Florida both in May so we started 'properly trying after that'
I'm 29 and want to get pregnant before I'm 30 🤞

Yeah we were similar in that we decided to not obsess over it and just try by not actively preventing it. However when I say not obsess over it I mean my OH! Although this is the first proper month I’ve tracked everything with clue since January. I just have an irrational fear that we are going to be one of those couples that struggle. My best friend had to have IVF and one of my sister in laws had IVF two rounds before she was successful and the other sister in law went through all kinds of hell with eptopic and miscarriage and stillborn that I somehow feel that this bad luck is genetic and bound to happen. Don’t get me wrong I’m an upbeat happy person in real life but internally I can’t help but stress about it and god bless my OH he thinks that we’ve got loads of time and itl just happen which it might but I’m a planner and I also like to think the worst case scenario to soften the blow hahah so now that we’ve got house and wedding sorted this is my next thing to focus on. God I sound a bit crazy thinkingsaying all that don’t I? But ahh so pleased there’s other people to chat to!

Good ones to look into are vitamin D3, omega-3 (DHA/EPA), CoQ10 (water and fat-soluble form for better absorption on the body), and a pre-natal to cover your nutrient bases. If you don't eat a lot of meat, you should considering adding extra iron and B12.

@proseccobee I also got married last year, also 30 and ttc first baby, I wanna join the little club! Hehe! There's a few of us around the same age and life stage in here, must just be at that time. I'm same as @flapjackered in that we just decided to stop trying not to get pregnant, but it's very hard not to try though once you come off the pill! I am in cycle 4 now, cycle day 9, currently just gone into my estimated fertile window, @delilah7 has given me extra motivation to get down to it this week 😊😊😊 using up that baby dust! Xxx

@delilah7 ahhhhhhh so happy for you!! I've been waiting all day to reply to this as I saw your photo just at the very end of my lunch break and didn't have time to read all and respond!! Congratulations!!! I feel a bit like we all got that BFP right here with you, this thread has been so close and supportive, it's so lovely to have such fantastic news to see!

Seriously given me hope as well as I’m using Flo and Ovia - both of which are telling me I’m out of fertile period but defo think I’m ovulating - boobs are sore, loads of CM and cervix is soft (I think haha)

@Delilah7 so exciting! Hopefully your good luck will rub off on us! We will miss you here when you leave us for the pregnancy boards! 😢

@ProseccoBee - we just talked about it and didn't have a good reason to wait, also my sister is having issues conceiving and it has made us realise that it may not happen if we leave it too long. However I did agree with DH that we would just stop trying to prevent it rather than actively try...three months later and I am poas as much as I possibly can in a cycle, got two temping apps, we are both taking fertility supplements and I am jumping on him throughout my fertile time! Super chilled out about it! 😂🤣😂 oops!!
I do feel my ovaries ache when I see a baby now, compared to a year ago I wasn't even sure I wanted children!

@flapjackered and @rosesandponies thanks for the welcome and pleased to have people at a similar stage to chat with, helps that I’m a little looney myself so will fit right in haha! How has married life treat you both? I can’t actually believe it’s a year since I was married it has absolutely flew over and I just wish I could do t it all again! Though got my new focus now, how did you decide that the time was right to ttc? Me and hubby decided we wanted a little time to ourselves first and got our travels out of the way but I’ve been growing bloodier each month and literally can’t wait anymore ha!

Yes it's early days, but if (and I hope it doesn't) anything does happen it will be good to have your parents' support.

@rosesandponies I'm so shocked!!!!! Now I've got to get a midwife pack from doctors. Told OH he's shocked it's happened so early but happy. My mum and dad are over the moon - I'm very close with them so I had to tell them. I know it's early and lots can happen :(
