TTC first baby cycle one! Anyone else out there?

So.... first baby 🤞🏼🙏🏽🤞🏼🙏🏽 Meant to be ovulating tomorrow. Main challenge atm is keeping things fun with the husband and not making him feel like a baby making machine 😂 How’s it going for other hopeful first time mummy’s?

Hi Ladies, i'm very new to all of this! came off my pill at the start of April had a WDB a day later for 2 days and i had my first period end of April. I have been using the CB ovulation test for the last 7 days and its now showing i'm at my peak so this is my first time ovulating since being off the pill. Im having pains in my right side and today my left side but no CM, i'm not sure how long my cycles are as only had one period since coming off the pill. Thinking my body must be doing ok though as had a period 26 days after stopping the pill and its now showing i'm ovulating. Is this a good sign? could it be possible ? even with out the CM not showing yet? The fact the ovulation kit is changing is a good sign ?? HELP lol!! xx

@WaitingForThatBFP - I have long irregular cycles too since coming off the pill. Currently doing OPKs everyday and temping so hoping to catch OV that way.
Good luck with the tests - I am waiting on blood results for a potential thyroid problem too.

I am so snowed under with work stress that I have a feeling my body is not going to behave this cycle! Trying to do lots of meditation etc to keep calm!

Hi Orcinus I'm CD(cycle date)25, 14dpo and due AF tomorrow or Sunday. I think I will be getting AF... I feel like I can feel it coming booo! I think your right as well about the symptoms. It's just such a long time to wait for an answer.

OPK - ovulation predictor kit
AF - Aunt Flo
CD - cycle day
O - ovulation
DPO - days past ovulation

I read on here somewhere that you won't get symptoms before your period is very nearly late because it's too early so I am doing my best not to symptom spot, will drive myself bonkers otherwise Sad

Where are you all in your cycles? I'm 3DPO ish but last two cycles were over 40 days so would be happy ish even if we have no luck this cycle but AF comes at a more normal time...

I've worked out how to message someone back properly! 😂 @hamandpease I'm sorry to hear that - it's so hard not to read into every little thing isn't it! @TwinkleBear and pretty much everyone else it seems that getting husband/partner interested in the cycle charts etc is a real challenge, guess for the men they want to 'just go with it' and my husband says I'll wind myself up so much it won't happen...

I’m ttc #1 although it’s not our first cycle.. been trying since August 17... but with irregular periods I don’t even know why cycle it is anymore 😬🤷🏻‍♀️

Been to the doctors had my day 3 and 21 bloods done and an internal and external scans and have a doctors appointment on Tuesday to get the results for them.. I’m just hoping everything is ok 😬 fx

Aw yeah I can imagine. You've been preparing and now starting so a lot of time has been spent on it all. I got married in December so it's still all relatively new to me. Although I'm not a hugely patient person and I'm not enjoying the lack of control I have over the situation hehehe! Smile

We've been putting it off because the time wasn't quite right (finances, weight, etc) so even though we've only just started actually trying I've wanted to be trying for so long that it feels like it has been ages!

Yeah I did test last cycle. I was a day late so I did a test and it was a bfn and then AF showed up like a few hours later. Bloody typical haha! I know I think it's difficult for them to relate because it's not their bodies. I'm totally obsessed too, I think it's just because I want it to happen so badly. Fingers crossed this is our month!

@Trying1stBaby they definitely are a fortune, I've just done the 1 so far, bought 4 more branded ones and will keep them out of sight so I don't feel as tempted. Yea my DH is also not really bothered by the whole thing or reading too much into it. I'm just obsessing.

Hi Twinklebear, I know exactly how you feel. I'm on second month and I'm still trying to read everything and symptom spot. Tried talking to DH about it but I don't think he really understands. He's like just don't think about it haha! I wish it was that simple 😂! I haven't done any testing yet though because I'm just really tight and hpts cost so much haha! IL wait until I'm a couple days late... Like tuesday.

Hi Smilei just made a new thread of a very similar post before coming across this one. Still getting the hang of MN. It's our first cycle TTC#1 too and this wait is pure torture. I had a test sitting on my bathroom counter just staring at me so I caved and tested at approx 7dpo. AF due around the 17th and I am also symptom spotting like mad!

Hi ladies, can I join in too. I haven't ever posted before. This is my second cycle trying for first baby and I'm in the same place as you DefinitelyOdd. I'm due AF Saturday or Sunday and I had no idea how hard the wait was until started trying and only just started too. IV been reading different forums a lot so if you need to know what any abbreviations are just ask hehe.

Hamandpease went to visit my friend today who said implantation can happen up to 3 days and think it did with her - seen any more signs?

Think implantation can be from 5 days after O?

Can I join in? I'm not reallyyyyy cycle 1. We tried for 4 cycles last year but my periods hadn't really settled after being on the pill. I've just had a couple of 40+ day cycles and have started to use OPKs and chart again. Looks like I may have O'd on CD22 which puts me at 2DPO today. Hoping if AF is to come it will be around day 34-36 to show some level of regulation again, but we shall see...
