So.... first baby πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ™πŸ½πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ™πŸ½ Meant to be ovulating tomorrow. Main challenge atm is keeping things fun with the husband and not making him feel like a baby making machine πŸ˜‚ How’s it going for other hopeful first time mummy’s?

Been feeling 🀒 all afternoon... trying not to read to much into it!

Wowthisisreal · 16/05/2018 21:08

@starsandstuff not sure as mine definitely shows my fertile window! Maybe it needs a month or so to start tracking??

Delilah7 · 16/05/2018 18:56

@starsandstuff I wish I knew how my cycle was going to go!

starsandstuff · 16/05/2018 18:40

It's been so long since I came off the pill, I had the coil for years, so I can't remember how that all works sorry. Having said that I had the copper coil which shouldn't affect hormones or cycles at all, but got it out last month and my cycle was nearly a week longer than usual so who knows?? I think our bodies merrily do what they do until we decide to try and then they start messing about Smile

Delilah7 · 16/05/2018 18:34

@starsandstuff Same for me. So confused as I have been told I had a withdrawal bleed instead of an actual period... but could it actually be that when I was only three days early! I can't take one for a few weeks but I just wanna try. Babies are always on my mind but first try! X

starsandstuff · 16/05/2018 18:27

Hi Delilah I'm trying to stay very unstressed as it's only the first try. I have a pt ready to go and I've sworn I'm not testing til AF is actually due but we'll see how that goes GrinWhen can you test?

Delilah7 · 16/05/2018 18:17

Hi @starsandstuff! I'm not sure as I haven't used it. Flo just tracks my period and ovulation or fertile week.
How's it going for you? I'm stressing out!

starsandstuff · 16/05/2018 18:10

Hi I'm TTC#1, cycle 1, CD18, I think maybe 1dpo or maybe ov today? I use Vlue as well! But it doesn't show my FW - not sure if because I don't enter info like BBT? The people who use it, did it do this automatically? It's only the second cycle I'm tracking though, only started last month while I was waiting to have the coil removed

Delilah7 · 16/05/2018 17:33

@Wowthisisreal @Tulip7 I use something called flo!

Wowthisisreal · 16/05/2018 17:24

@Tulip7 I use Clue too!

Delilah7 · 16/05/2018 17:06

@Tulip7 @Wowthisisreal hi Ladies.

Be nice if it did happen first time! I keep looking up things and hoping I'll fall quickly. Just scary, I'm fertile now but can't pin point when I'm ovulating I don't think and don't particular want to spend money.

And tulip, I've heard you're meant to have one. Someone on another post said mine was a few days before my period was meant to come but I would class that as an early period!

So many things to look up and out for. So confusing.

Tulip7 · 16/05/2018 16:36

Withdrawal bleeding? From coming off the pill? I've not been on the pill for around 8 months. Went to a zika area pm for our honeymoon back in September so have had to use condoms for x many months on our return.

I'm so new to all this. I use the Clue app to keep a record of my cycle and when my fertility window is, but still really confused by the whole thing, lol.

Wowthisisreal · 16/05/2018 16:00

@Delilah7 Hey! πŸ‘‹πŸ» I know I should wait 😫 I never understood when friends said they took loads of tests but now I can totally see it happening. So many of the symptoms seem to be the same as if AF is coming too. What are the chances of it happening 1st time?

Delilah7 · 16/05/2018 13:37

@Wowthisisreal Hi welcome! I'm new too :)
I'd say if your period is a few days late that's when I would.. x

Wowthisisreal · 16/05/2018 13:29

Hello all! I'm also new to MN - Hubby just sent me the link to this thread and suggested I join! Is it just me or does registering on MN make this decision all the more real?! 😱

Hubby and I have been talking and thinking about TTC for months now (I came off the pill 18m ago) and finally decided this is the month to go for it. Difficulty is that for the first time in ages I had a change to my cycle from 34 days to 28 days exactly when AF last visited so as a result I'm not sure when I ovulated this month! I got the EW CM consistently around the time it would be if 28 and then again for a couple of days after. Also had some cramps a few days after too. Been googling all the signs but now I think I am just looking for them!!

If it's 28 days then AF should come today, if I'm going back to 5 weeks then it will be next week. When should I test? πŸ˜•

Delilah7 · 16/05/2018 13:14

@OrcinusOrca I know I'm a person that worries about judgement so maybe I shouldn't of started with that! Do you always have to have a withdrawal bleed to become pregnant after coming off? X

OrcinusOrca · 16/05/2018 12:27

@Delilah7 I did get a withdrawal when I came off the pill. Also, you are an adult it's not our business to pass judgement on the age you are TTC. I'm 26 and I know some people in real life who will think that's way too young, my elder brother for one! The way you disclosed it on here almost gives people a window to judge and I don't think you need to justify yourself etc, it really isn't for us to comment on οΏΌ

@stephmelhuish I am 8DPO too! My last two cycles were in excess of 40 days so I don't even know when AF is due though Confused

Delilah7 · 16/05/2018 11:48

@stephmelhuish I am new too this too. I never know when to check or do a test as I'm so early into this. Did you have a withdrawal bleed?
My period before that was shorter and I missed three pills from my last pack but don't think I could pregnant off just that. Have a lot of cramping which I'm guessing is ovulation, going to toilet more and back ache...
So hard to stay off the internet and look up everything.

stephmelhuish · 16/05/2018 11:35

I'm new to MN too. I'm TTC#1, 8 DPO and did one of those CB early detection tests yesterday and had a BFN. Trying my hardest not to symptom spot too, so just going to wait until AF(21st) and see what happens then.

Delilah7 · 16/05/2018 11:11

I’m 22 forgot to add! :)

Delilah7 · 16/05/2018 11:08

Congratulations to the above.
I’m rather new to this and probably will be abit young in your eyes to be trying for a baby.
I stopped my pill after my period which was 5th may and finished slightly early. We have been having regular unprotected sex, did any of you ladies have a withdrawal bleed after you stopped the pill? As I haven’t yet and abit worried I might not get a good chance at being pregnant until I have. Anything I can do to help and improve my chances? I know I’m ovulating now. Xx

OrcinusOrca · 16/05/2018 06:47

@WaitingForThatBFP I have a retroverted uterus, that in itself isn't meant to cause any TTC problems. Your uterus will usually flip the right way as and when it needs to if it is so retroverted that it needs to move. I think quite a few more women have retroverted ones after they've had DC. I was told when I was about 13 or 14 (26 now). Can't comment on the rest but thought I'd mention Thanks

Trying1stBaby · 16/05/2018 06:45

Thanks ladies! I'm in shock! I think that was at 17dpo and I did another test yesterday morning and it was the same so I went to the drs and he said a line is a line it'll be faint because it's very early. So it's all official Smile. Sending lots of baby dust and luck to you all!

FlapJackered · 16/05/2018 06:40

@WaitingForThatBFP I am not sure what that means for ttc but I hope you get some answers from the gynae. I found out I have a Thyroid problem - it is frustrating when you have made the decision to ttc to then find it may not be as easy. Fingers crossed for you.

FlapJackered · 16/05/2018 06:37

Congrats @Trying1stBaby that does look like a positive! Have you tested again?

I got a positive OPK today, which is very exciting as I had it in my mind they wouldn't work on me (I don't know why!) - now to gently gently persuade DH to DTD without putting pressure on!
