TTC first baby cycle one! Anyone else out there?

So.... first baby 🤞🏼🙏🏽🤞🏼🙏🏽 Meant to be ovulating tomorrow. Main challenge atm is keeping things fun with the husband and not making him feel like a baby making machine 😂 How’s it going for other hopeful first time mummy’s?

I'm 3dpo and felt a bit of cramping earlier and thought ooooo but probably just needed to fart or something 🙄🤦‍♀️

Sorry you're having a tough time @Trying1stBaby I know it's frustrating when you think you might have missed a chance, but you're definitely in with a chance the day before ovulation day

@delilah I'm so sorry to hear your having a tough time ATM. And don't worry about missing one day. It only takes one BD to get pregnant. Just got to hang in there. Which is easier said then done and your allowed to feel sad about things. Just got to try and keep positive. It only takes one shot and it's done. Send you lots of love and hugs!

@FlapJackered but I guess if I don't use them I won't know for sure? My tummy is cramping abit but only noticeable occasionally xx

Definitely no need to use OPKs, I have learnt this cycle for me I need to just because my cycles are so irregular and long and dtd every other day is a bit much for us, so I think if we left it to chance it probably won't happen.

It basically means your probability of getting pregnant if you dtd however many days before ovulation, so -1 is 1 day before ovulation, -2 is 2 days etc.
You won't know for sure until you ovulate but if your app is saying you will ovulate tomorrow, and if you get a positive opk then you know you will dtd on the purple days which are the best. Does that make sense?

Yes definitely - in fact even better! Just found this graph which is quite interesting and shows I might still be in with a chance this month as we dtd on -4.

Weird how there is more chance on day -4 than -3?

I missed ov this cycle (well we Dtd 4 days before so I think it's unlikely).

@hamandpease - me too!! I have got DH going to ask the GP about it on Thursday.
I just figure that I am killing myself trying to stay healthy, not drink too much etc etc and if DH has lazy sperm it will all be for nothing, I could have been having a few more gins! 😂

Feeling really low and emotional today. Probably doesn't help me and OH didn't have sex yesterday which is defo near my ovulation day apparently it should be tomorrow. So feeling abit sad xx

Thanks @rosesandponies. Just struggling to keep positive ATM. I have a bad feeling about it all. Sorry to hear the annoyingness of long cycles. I have a friend with three children who has a very long irregular cycle. Just have to keep the BD up for a longer time hehe.

@FlapJackered it's so annoying with long cycles isn't it? I have no idea where I am or if I've missed ovulating or not this month. I'm starting to feel pre menstrual now as well 🙄 @Trying1stBaby I'm sorry love, keep the faith you won't really know until AF does/doesn't show up! Sending hugs 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Natural cycles is now saying I ovulated in saturday and DH and I only Dtd on Wednesday so think it's unlikely for me this cycle which is so frustrating. I stupidly gave up on the opks because it was such a long cycle I thought I wasn't going to ov. Idiot 🤦🏼‍♀️

@WaitingForThatBFP sorry to hear that, I am feeling down at 45dpo so I can't imagine how you are feeling. These long cycles are so demoralising aren't they, you just don't know where you are with them.

I know it's tough but try not to worry yet @Trying1stBaby that is only 24 hrs give it another 48 hrs and see. If there is still a line you're still good 🤞🏻

I think I might be having another chemical 😣. I did a test again this morning and it is no different to yesterday. It hasn't got any stronger. 😥

Hey guys sorry I’ve been a bit awol..

nothing much to report here so decided to take a break from mumsnet to clear my head in a sense.. I’m coming up to cd95 😬😩 so frustrated by it..
DH has his SA on Thursday so we’re going in to see the doctor on Tuesday for the results and hopefully to get referred to a fertility specialist fx..

Will keep you updated with whatever happens

Thanks @delilah. Just have to wait and see what happens now I guess. I'm not as nervous as I was this morning though. I'm feeling now what will be will be and I can't guess. Just got to hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.
