So.... first baby πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ™πŸ½πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ™πŸ½ Meant to be ovulating tomorrow. Main challenge atm is keeping things fun with the husband and not making him feel like a baby making machine πŸ˜‚ How’s it going for other hopeful first time mummy’s?

@broodywifey1 welcome! Congratulations on your wedding! How are you finding married life? Very exciting that you're off the pill already, it's confusing at first but you'll soon get to know all the tricks! It's easier to track your cycle once you've already had a normal period, but there are lots of ways you can work out when you're ovulating - you can use an app to track everything and estimate your fertile and ovulation days, or you can use ovulation tests or basal body temperatures to pinpoint ovulation. Some people just have sex regularly throughout the month, or some just continues normal. Do you think you'll have a strategy, or just carry on as normal and see what happens? That's what I'm trying to do, but it's hard not to track things once you know your cycle! Xx

@delilah7 I am exactly the same!! I can't get the thought out of my head. I'm due AF today and no sign of it yet!!! Argh! I may actually be able to test for the first time ever tomorrow! Watch It come later today now lol

BroodyWifey1 · 16/07/2018 23:01

Hi everyone first time ever posting been reading this thread all day!
I am sooo new to this I’ve been on contraception for around 9years, implant, injections, & microgynon pill for the last 3 years. We got married on the 28th of June & I stopped taking my pill the 26th. (I know - not long at all!) I had withdrawal bleed the 30th of June...still no real period, and have no idea what so ever when it is supposed to actually come! How can I calculate when I am ovulating etc? Very confusing πŸ™ˆ

Delilah7 · 16/07/2018 19:36

@rosesandponies I feel so stupid as I'm so new to this and constantly think I'm pregnant after I try!

rosesandponies · 16/07/2018 18:44

@Crossfitgirl I'm 12 days po today and expecting AF on Thursday or Friday. Might come earlier as I've had some cramps today and my skin is just THE WORST. I miss the pill so much! Know that it affects everyone differently, but for me it really helped my mood swings and my skin. Acne when your in your 30s = not fair! @TheMagicTorch welcome πŸ˜„ I'm about to start cycle 4 now, so very early days but it is difficult not to fret as everyone knows! @Delilah7sorry that you're having a tough month lovely, CM can be a sign of pregnancy though, I usually don't get anything po

Delilah7 · 16/07/2018 18:37

Really confused though as I've reading up that really fertile Cm will come at days 10/14 after your period. Now my flo app was telling me my fertile window was only 2 days after my period! and ovulation was 8 day's after my period!

Delilah7 · 16/07/2018 16:52

@FlapJackered I guess because my Cm seems to be going crazy this cycle I'm all messed up in my head! Xx

Delilah7 · 16/07/2018 16:51

@Crossfitgirl due AF next Wednesday. I just wish it would happen. It is my third cycle so not long at all x

FlapJackered · 16/07/2018 16:42

Welcome @TheMagicTorch ! I recognise your name from the TWW thread. Sorry to hear about your chemical. That must have been hard. Fingers crossed this is your cycle!

@Crossfitgirl - I like your style! Definitely deserved!

@Delilah7 - Sorry to hear you're feeling low. It is a tough few weeks isn't it, I am finding it difficult to think of anything else right now. It is seriously unproductive! I am finding I often get a bit low generally the week after ov, I wonder if it is partly a hormonal thing?

Crossfitgirl · 16/07/2018 16:37

Welcome @themagictorch, and happy baby making :-) there's a few of us just about to expect AF too, so for those of us that do, a nice fresh cycle ahead! If I don't come on tomorrow, I'm going to test Wednesday I think. I have got rid of the other thread on my login so I don't see it, and won't be going back to look at any more responses. The ice cream was awesome just what I needed!! Fyi I finished the tub but there was only 1 big portion left in it. Honest!! Haha.
@delilah7 I think the 2ww is a bit of a rollercoaster, I don't think either of us have been trying long have we but it certainly feels like an age! 6dpo isn't long to go though, in a few days you may be able to test with a FRER, when are you due AF? Xxx

TheMagicTorch · 16/07/2018 15:34

Hi ladies 😊Can I jump on this thread please! I'm on a few threads already, might see some familiar faces - We're trying for our first baby.
I'm 29, now on cycle 5 of TTC (AF just started yesterday boo). I had a chemical cycle 3 and so want our BFP soon.

@Crossfitgirl Hope you enjoyed your ice cream, sorry to hear you had some horrible comments ( I didn't see your other thread). People on the relationships board can be so quick to judge and come to the worst conclusions. When are you planning to test?

Delilah7 · 16/07/2018 15:26

@Crossfitgirl I'm feeling abit low. Wanting to feel like it's my month as I'm sure I DTD'd the right times. I'm only 6dpo though :( xx

Crossfitgirl · 16/07/2018 14:09

Thank you ladies, love this thread. Those bs in the relationships section, Look what they drove me to!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ how many days po will you be on Friday @rosesandponies? I'm staying positive and I think AF will be a good thing for me this month. How awful that you had to actually get a thread withdrawn! I won't be making that mistake again! How's everyone else getting on? Anyone else testing soon? Xxx

rosesandponies · 16/07/2018 13:55

Also I'm still hoping it's pregnancy not PMS too πŸ˜‚ The things we put ourselves though! I know my body, nothing is out of the ordinary and I can see that the spots and breast tenderness arrived on the same day as the last 2 months. Still biting my arm off trying to not test...

rosesandponies · 16/07/2018 13:50

@Crossfitgirl I haven't read your other thread so dot know what you have said - but I did this a few weeks ago where I was really upset and made another thread specifically about our issues DTD regularly (issue that predates TTC) and got a whole barrage of judgemental comments and people saying that I should leave him, he's gay and in denial, he's abusing me by not having sex... I asked to have it taken down because it was so awful in the end. Stick with us 😊

OP posts:
FlapJackered · 16/07/2018 12:21

@Crossfitgirl - please ignore the horrible responses on your other thread. It seems to be the go-to response on MN to leave your partner at the slightest issue!- As if everyone in a relationship is perfect and never says or does anything wrong!

Delilah7 · 16/07/2018 11:58

@Crossfitgirl I will butt in here lovely and say i think it's quite brave he said that and said what he really felt. Shows how much he trusts you to be that honest. I think he's probably just getting stressed out with everything and all situations are ruining through his brain x

Crossfitgirl · 16/07/2018 10:58

Thanks @flapjackered. I'm going to talk to him again tonight, you're right we all have our moments and that is why there are 2 of us! He does get very self critical and sometimes just needs a kick up the bum. I posted a thread in relationships about his moods, and everyone has sent quite horrible responses telling me to end my marriage, forget about kids and leave him! I'm glad people are more understanding on here, I have found you guys to be so much more supportive, I may delete the other thread as it's upsetting me! xxx

Its annoying that PMS mimicks all the pg symptoms isnt it! No matter how much you feel like AF is here, theres that tiny glimmer of hope that its pg symptoms! I am due AF tomorrow, 9dpo today. I have sensitive nipples and tummy cramps so I'm certain AF will be here very soon! Even despite my recent troubles, I am still hoping I'm pg!! It's madness. Lol.

FlapJackered · 16/07/2018 10:14

@Crossfitgirl - I am so sorry, that sounds really hard.
I think @rosesandponies is right. He is probably just panicking a bit. It happens to all of us at some point. However bad his temper gets I am sure he would never hurt his own child. That is also the benefit of there being two of you: If he gets overwhelmed he can go for a walk and cool off and vice-versa.
My DH also has his moments, except with him it comes across as just going completely silent when we talk about it! Not helpful!
I hope you're feeling a bit better today.

I am 7dpo today and starting to get some gentle pms symptoms. Definitely don't feel pregnant at the moment!

Crossfitgirl · 15/07/2018 23:34

@rosesandponies thank you so much for your wonderful advice, that has actually made me feel a whole lot better :-) I think you're right, he is voicing his worries - and I'm more relieved that he actually told me, rather than bottling it all up! He did say it might help to have a quiet area at home to work (he has a lot of uni work as he's doing on the job training) so I've said we shall go to Ikea tomorrow and get a desk and office chair, get rid of the other crap in the spare room and turn it into an office. Maybe it'll be a new room to christen ;-) hehe. Really though, I don't feel I did a very good job of reassuring him he'll be a good dad, and I'm glad you highlighted it as I now think it'll be really important for me to say that. Thank you xxx

rosesandponies · 15/07/2018 23:07

@Crossfitgirl I'm so sorry 😞 That must have been a difficult conversation for you. How are you feeling now? I don't know you and your DH personally so if my thoughts sound like nonsense then my apologies and please ignore: it actually sounds like the kind of thing my husband might say too after a rubbish week, but in a 'thinking out loud' sort of way rather than something he wants to take action on. Like, he's worried about becoming a parent (who wouldn't be?!) and not being the perfect parent, work is a never ending stress and it's hard to imagine being able to switch off and become super dad. So he's just sharing his worries and thoughts with you - perhaps a sort of 'disclaimer' against the future because he's also scared of letting you down - but he's not saying that he definitely doesn't want to be a dad soon? I'm sure you've already done this, but let him know how much of an amazing dad he's going to be and how much you can't wait to have HIS children - he's the one you were waiting for to take this step with. You know it's not going to be a fairy story and that you'll both make mistakes as parents, but you've got his back like you know he has yours.
Also perhaps ask what he needs from you to alleviate the stress? Some time alone to himself after work? Doing some fun activities together that he enjoys? My DH loves to just go for a quiet walk around our area when he's stressed out with me, virtually in silence, to wind down. Anyway enough babbling from me.
I'm sorry that you've had a tough evening love, we are here for you!x x

@rosesandponies well done on the house move in this heat! Sounds challenging to say the least. I hope AF comes soon for you if you're feeling rubbish, I'm due soon and I know it's coming too, so probably won't need to test either.
I have had a huge blow tonight, my DH and I had a conversation about his recent moods, and he has said he's not coping well with work/stress and says he's worried he would lose his temper or snap with a child. I sat and listened and let him open up and now he's gone to bed, I feel like we should put it on hold now :-( need to have another conversation about this and plan how we move forward now- whether we stop trying for a bit til his head is right, or whether he's happy to see how we go. Not a great Sunday evening :-(

rosesandponies · 15/07/2018 17:42

I'm due AF on Thursday and can't come fast enough - such bad PMS. Cramps and moody and a painful spot the size of a blueberry on my cheek 😭 I don't think I'll need to test this cycle, but if I do it will be Friday. It's been a pretty challenging weekend as we moved house and did it all ourselves - just relaxing with a cold coke surrounded by boxes rn. It's too hot for this! Our marriage just about survived πŸ˜‚

@Crossfitgirl thanks, yes fx'd the doctor will talk some sense into him!

I am not really chilling about it πŸ˜‚ I am on MN a lot!! We are seeing family this weekend which is good to take my mind off it, until my SIL started talking about babies...

Crossfitgirl · 14/07/2018 12:26

@flapjackered definitely ask the GP if drinking less will help, sometimes the white coat makes them listen more!

I am also cd23 and I think 7dpo, I am due AF on Tuesday.
What about everyone else?
It's the first month I have debated testing at all, i dont even know why as I feel no different to normal. I have 3 internet cheapies but I am still going to try and hold out until / if AF is late! I did look at FRERS online but decided against it.
I'm going to try do some yoga this coming month to help me relax!
What are you all doing in the 2ww to chill? xx

FlapJackered · 14/07/2018 09:58

Thanks @rosesandponies . He is a much heavier drinker than his friends and he is the one to get everyone drinking normally.
I am sure when it sinks in he will do something about it, he is just so ridiculously chilled out it doesn't seem to bother him. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ very frustrating!!

What cd/dpo is everyone on? Anyone due to test soon? Would be great to have some more good news on this thread!
I am cd23/5dpo.
