So.... first baby πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ™πŸ½πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ™πŸ½ Meant to be ovulating tomorrow. Main challenge atm is keeping things fun with the husband and not making him feel like a baby making machine πŸ˜‚ How’s it going for other hopeful first time mummy’s?

@daisiesandpeonies it's here:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/3332036-ttc-first-baby-continued

It's called ttc first baby continued xxx

daisiesandpeonies · 10/08/2018 14:26

What's the new thread called I can't see it

daisiesandpeonies · 10/08/2018 14:25

Thanks everyone is it going to stop quite soon then? @Crossfitgirl I enter it with him next to me tbh, he's just given up on trying to stop me being crazy about it all now πŸ˜‚ @Delilah7 sorry to hear about all of what you're going through with the family - they've picked a really bad time to be nasty!

FlapJackered · 10/08/2018 13:33

I have started a new one and tagged the latest posters. Hopefully got everyone!

Delilah7 · 10/08/2018 13:00

Guys will someone make a new thread under this name with #2 on or something. It can stop after 1k posts :(

Delilah7 · 10/08/2018 12:48

@Crossfitgirl it blew up because my brother in law posted on my Facebook our dirty laundry so everyone could see. Didn't mention thank god about my miscarriage but if I'd of written back something about it he'd of looked like a right arsehole. Then he got into a heated argument with my mum etc etc xx

Crossfitgirl · 10/08/2018 12:38

Why are my posts always like essays?? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ sorry ladies!

Crossfitgirl · 10/08/2018 12:37

I'm the same, love seeing those little love hearts and rabbits on my apps! Does anyone else sneakily try to put it in your phone straight away? I have done while DH is in the bathroom after!! Haha.

That's good news @flapjackered, has it given you some reassurance now that you may get some answers?
I have read somewhere that CM is the single best way to identify when you're fertile, that does sound confusing though with the smileys - maybe go with your body rather than clear blue this month, it's got to be a sign of something, it is only EW to help those spermies up to your egg so must mean something! Are you planning to DTD again?

@delilah7 bloody family!! They always know how to rub us up the wrong way!
I am sure it doesn't mean she doesn't care or isn't worried about you, she is your sister after all, but I guess not everyone is very good at being empathetic or knowing what to say? What made things blow up? The last thing you need is family stress on top. Try not to let it get to you lovely, you have enough to think about xx

Delilah7 · 10/08/2018 12:18

@FlapJackered everyone is apart from my sister and her husband - no shock there tbh. 😘

FlapJackered · 10/08/2018 12:14

@daisiesandpeonies I am exactly the same! So satisfying!
Feeling a bit more positive today, seen the doctor and she is going to do some bloods for progesterone and testosterone and I am getting scan, so hopefully will get to the bottom of the irregular cycles. 🀞🏻
Day 11 of flashing smiley, but got some ewcm today so who knows what's happening! πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

@Delilah7 - Are your family not being supportive? If so that's not kind when you have been through so much. I hope you're ok? 😘

Delilah7 · 10/08/2018 11:36

@daisiesandpeonies satisfying isn't it?!

daisiesandpeonies · 10/08/2018 11:33

Such a loser how smug I feel entering 'unprotected sex' into Clue and Flo calendars πŸ˜‚ Starting to enjoy it more than the actual sex πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Delilah7 · 10/08/2018 07:09

@daisiesandpeonies thank you ❀️ unfortunately it got ten times worse last night and it finally blew up. Xx

daisiesandpeonies · 09/08/2018 21:02

@Delilah7 am so inspired by how strong and positive you're being - you will be such a great mum, such a rock! Sorry that you've had a family row, as much as we do love our families they do get away with saying such insensitive stuff!
@FlapJackered sending hugs your way - it's often a struggle with the husbands isn't it? Like all of the responsibility is on us to make things happen. I hate my long cycle

Delilah7 · 09/08/2018 13:31

@FlapJackered we all have different issues and hurdles. Mine isn't worse than anyone's - we are all in this together and will be here if you need us anytime xxxx

FlapJackered · 09/08/2018 13:29

@Delilah7 - thank you so much for your lovely words. I feel so guilty for feeling so sorry for myself when I can't begin to know how difficult it has been for you recently.
I have the day off today and went back to bed for a bit and feel a bit better so I think it was all a bit exacerbated by tiredness.

I think it sounds like a good plan taking your time about it all. I hope you're feeling ok.

Thanks @Crossfitgirl . I did talk to OH about it and he is trying to be supportive but doesn't really know what to say to make me feel better. He did suggest we try and get to see a fertility specialist about my long cycles if this one is a long one again.
Off to Italy so at least it will take my mind off everything if nothing else.

Delilah7 · 09/08/2018 13:25

@Crossfitgirl thank you lovely 😘 means a lot. My periods were very regular too so I was lucky. Well not yet, got a party tomorrow to let off some steam and see some long distant family! I've just had abit of an afternoon my sister and me just had a full blown argument. She doesn't see what she done wrong not asking how I was for a few days or being there. She's saying I'm making her look and feel bad for no reason. Arghhhh. Flo app has defo been good for me obviously haha x

Crossfitgirl · 09/08/2018 12:23

@delilah7 it makes sense to keep doing what worked for you, and if you don't need to do OPKs then definitely stick to just using flo, I think that sounds much more relaxing to be honest! I'm happy I did as now I know I'm ovulating later than all the apps told me, I must have a weird cycle, but for you it sounds like it's got it spot on. It has adjusted now that I've put my positive OPK date in, so it seems accurate.
You seemed to be really in tune with your body through all of this too and I think that is really the most important thing.
I'm glad you are taking your time - it's a very tough thing to happen.
Have you got anything nice planned for you and your OH to look forward to? I always find having a nice little date night or something in the diary helps me think more positively when I'm down, even if it's a while away.

Delilah7 · 09/08/2018 10:47

@Crossfitgirl I've not done the OPKS myself yet and I'm not going to plan to until maybe 6 months in... flo worked for me how I did it so I'm just gonna continue. Think it's best we don't rush this. Gives us time to move forward after what's happened xx

Crossfitgirl · 09/08/2018 10:32

@glitzy07 Omg get a test done! I would be if AF was already a few days late! Sounds very promising esp with the symptoms.
@daisiesandpeonies I hope the smiley does come soon, are you trying any ICs? I would just go with it and start DTD, have you tried any other apps? I use clue, but then I tried flo as Well after @delilah7 said she used it and found it's much better as you can record your OPK results as well.
@delilah7 sounds like you are doing the sensible thing, your baby will come when you are both in the right place again, take your time and look after yourself until a fresh cycle starts.
@flapjackered sending a huge virtual hug, it's such a rollercoaster ttc and it feels so consuming sometimes, does your OH know how you feel? Does he know you're feeling low about your cycles, and not just the sex thing? Maybe he can support you more knowing it's not just issues between you both that's a factor and that you're feeling upset about other things that neither of you can control?
Where are you going on holiday? I hope it will be a huge boost for you both having time to relax, focus on your relationship and intimacy and just enjoy yourselves. You never know, ov may come so late that it coincides with your holiday :-)
Try to stay positive, have your good cry today, eat lots of chocolate and let's see if we can't pick you back up again before you head off on your jollies xx

Delilah7 · 09/08/2018 09:44

@FlapJackered oh darling. I'm so sorry you're feeling low... it will happen. It might not seem it at the moment but it will and you will be amazing! I can't imagine how it must feel to be irregular but I know how much it worries me and stresses me when I'm even a day late to what I think. Thinking of you xxx

FlapJackered · 09/08/2018 09:38

Feeling really really low today and can't stop crying which is unlike me. I am just so fed up of my cycles being so unpredictable and after last cycle which was only 29 days I really thought they had sorted themselves out but now it looks like this is going to be another long one. I just feel like it is never going to happen for me. 😒

FlapJackered · 09/08/2018 09:36

@Crossfitgirl - sorry to hear about the argument. I do think it's a stressful time, DH and I had a bit of a row over not having enough sex. Although I feel bad as I think I am just getting too obsessed over it all, and need to take a step back.
I am on day 10 of flashing smiley so I think I will stop testing on Saturday when we go on holiday.

Hi @Glitzy07 good luck!

@daisiesandpeonies - I had the first flashing smiley on cd10, although I wish it hadn't as it got my hopes up for a shorter cycle.

Delilah7 · 09/08/2018 09:14

@daisiesandpeonies thank you honey. We are ready for a baby but I think we are gonna wait to TTC after my first period after the miscarriage x

daisiesandpeonies · 09/08/2018 08:41

Feeling rubbish today - cd15 and no smiley face on the OTC yet. But Clue app says my fertile window begins today until early next week. @FlapJackered what day do you start getting smiley faces? @Crossfitgirl I'm hopeful for you sounds promising 🀞🏼 @Delilah7 glad you're feeling a bit better - don't rush to get back on the TTC train until you're 100%
