Hello ladies. Sorry I've not been around. AF arrived today and I'm sulking a bit (a lot). Feeling very down. How are you all doing. Thank you for all your kind words regarding the bfp that changed to bfn. I really think this AF is a mc as its super heavy and clotty. Permission to climb in the middle of the huddle ( I would put a little penguin but I don't know how)

maverick79 · 20/05/2018 21:04

Thanks Zarala and sorry that you have had such a difficult experience. It is such a struggle to know what's best.

DBoo · 20/05/2018 20:44

Thanks @zaralara

zarala · 20/05/2018 20:37

Hi ladies!
Firstly happy belated @Cakelaur hope you had a lovely day

Secondly I am so sorry to see so many new faces!

@maverick79 I think the overall consensus is you can get back into the TTC bus whenever you feel emotionally ready. With my first MC we tried straight away and fell on cycle 2- but that ended in MMC and then I fell immediately again but sadly that was another MMC- having 3 consecutively so close together was too much for me so we've decided to wait a few months before trying again...

@DBoo I can see a squinter there! Fx it gets darker for you over the next few days!

@DaisyMay25 yes EDDs are so weird. I don't know if I will ever forget any of mine...

maverick79 · 20/05/2018 20:31

Thank you both for your replies. I am so sorry to read that each of you have lost babies and can not begin to imagine your experiences and the strength it must have taken to start to try again. MrsLCW, so pleased you have the support in place and fingers crossed your husband is right x

MrsLCW · 20/05/2018 20:03

Hi @maverick79 and welcome! I'm new here too!
After our first MMC (at 9 weeks) we waiting for one period to return and tried straight away, we were really lucky and fell that first cycle with Penny, who was unfortunately born sleeping at 20 weeks (we have since found this to be due to a problem with my bloods and so have a plan in place for next time with a consultant and extra support etc)
This time round I've waited 3 cycles, more so because we waited out for post mortem results and tests on me, which is how we got our answer.
I'm hopeful, as both pregnancies we've fallen first time, but I need to keep a level head. Just got a bit giddy chatting with hubby who let his guard down and said "I'm not being funny, I don't like to say it out loud but I think you already are!!" Confused I'm keeping everything crossed! I'd love to give him a positive pee stick to take the sting out of what should have been his first Father's Day with either a heavily pregnant wife or a newborn! X

DBoo · 20/05/2018 19:36

And of course i am very sorry for what you have been through.

DBoo · 20/05/2018 19:36

Hi maverick79 welcome to the thread. Great group here.

For me as my pregnancies have always been so long i always wanted a break from being pregnant so after the first mmc we ttc again straight away and fell after 6 weeks. After my son was stillborn i didnt want to be pregnant for a while as i wanted to let his 'firsts' pass first so i could give some time to him. After the last one we waited a year too as dp and i had a tough time i didnt feel supported either in the pregnancy or the mmc. Didnt really want to risk it all again. Fortunately something big happened to him which has changed our lives a little. That combined with getting a bit older is whats made us decide to do it now.

maverick79 · 20/05/2018 19:10

Hi, can I join? I'm 38. Just completed miscarriage after 5 weeks of waiting for it to happen (during which I received medical management). It was my fourth pregnancy: 1st was m/c, 2nd m/c, 3rd I got my daughter who is now nearly 2.5yrs. This one was an anembryonic pregnancy (blighted ovum). Preg test tomorrow to ensure I'm no longer classed as pregnancy. Then thinking about when to start again. Wondering what influenced others about when to try?

DBoo · 20/05/2018 15:22

Thanks @MrsLCW bbaahh feel like ive got that wrong again!!! I hope yours comes soon too and is a good one.

I cant decide whether getting a bfp this month will be good or not considering the spotting but who knows although you do read so many stories of people thinking they had a light period then finding out there a lot more pregnant than expected because it was an ib so not necessarily a bad thing.

MrsLCW · 20/05/2018 14:49

@DBoo our stories sound very similar, and I'm truly sorry to hear about your losses and partners anxiety.
I'm genuinely rooting for you this cycle and in the future!! Xxx

DBoo · 20/05/2018 14:36

Good luck @mistymeow

Mrslw (cant remember full name tag) after my last mmc (march 2017) dp and i decided to have a break. It hit our relationship hard and tbh its probs only age that has spurred me on to ttc now. This is our 3rd cycle of ttc. First pregnancy was a surprise (mmc) second pregnancy i had one af after mmc and ttc and fell first time (stillborn) went on pill for a year came off ready to ttc the following month but conceived that month so i stupidly thought id fall straight away this time. If this does turn out to be a bfp i guess 3 months isnt bad and this is the only month ive managed to dtd every other day in fertile week.

Dp has severe healthy anxiety at the moment which js affecting him in lots of ways and im petrified thats going to affect our chances so a bfp this month would be lovely for me but no doubt trigger more anxiety in dp

MrsLCW · 20/05/2018 14:21

@Mistymeow best of luck to you, I have everything crossed!! X

Mistymeow · 20/05/2018 14:19

Thanks @MrsLCW I will be hoping you get a cold next week then haha x

@DBoo I had heard you are very fertile after the procedure which is why we started trying as soon as the bleeding had stopped. I haven't had my period yet though so these feelings could well be building up to that.

MrsLCW · 20/05/2018 14:06

@DBoo mine have been the same. Period gone back like clockwork after a 9 week MMC and also after we had Penny following another MMC at 20 weeks. Period came either 28 or 29 days after last day of MC bleeding both times then cycles have stuck to that length. I've had 3 periods since Penny and we're now in our first cycle of TTC. Praying we fall first time like we did with our first two. We've been told next time round we'll be under a consultant and have extra scans and medication to keep my blood flow healthy from placenta to baby etc from 12 weeks, so just need to get to 12 weeks this time and then we'll be really closely monitored!! Fingers crossed we all have lucky months ahead!! X

DBoo · 20/05/2018 13:25

I think you can fall especially if your period comes back as normal which mine did both times i had an erpc and i was passed 14wks both times and got period like clockwork so it could happen.

MrsLCW · 20/05/2018 12:34

A bad cold was my first symptom both times too lovely! Is it ridiculous that I'm praying I have a cold this time next week 😂😂

Mistymeow · 20/05/2018 12:20

@DBoo I can definitely see a faint line. Fingers crossed it gets stronger the next day!

@Cakelaur Belated birthday wishes! I had heard that too about immunity but I think I'm trying not to get my hopes up. Tricky though. For some weird reason today my cold has disappeared, yesterday it was the worst cold I've ever had. Freaky.

I actually had the urge to do a test today. I got all the way to the toilet and chickened out. I have pregnancy symptoms back like I did before but I just think it's my body playing tricks on me. I don't think I can fall pregnant 3 weeks after an ERPC?! I took a pregnancy test 10 days ago to make sure there was no leftover hormone and thankfully it was negative. Don't want to set myself up for more heartache by taking an early test.

DBoo · 20/05/2018 09:53

Yes i just said to dp see what happens haha bit giddy now.

YellowDaffodils86 · 20/05/2018 09:45

@DBoo all looks promising, you know the rules lol, test again in two days if af doesn't show. If you have recently implanted then then it will take a few days for that hcg to build up.

DBoo · 20/05/2018 09:40

Im either 12 or 13 dpo. Due af monday according to flo and tuesday according to ovia.

I used to spot about 3 or 4 days before af but since starting my concoction of vitamins i just go straight into a light period usually the day my app says (but cant remember which one) so i was surprised to see the spotting friday.

MrsLCW · 20/05/2018 09:39

@DBoo I can see it too! X

MrsLCW · 20/05/2018 09:38

@DBoo do you have a pic? I've a weird obsession with squinting at pee sticks (mine, or anyone else's 🙈)
I was like this to start with with my pregnancy tests for Penny, I just KNEW I was pregnant and this was my first test... no one believed me but I knew it!! These are the tests for reference, in case they help you. Good luck!! X
