Hello!
Can I join this shiny new thread?
I'm ttc #2 after a MC early April - I luckily got pregnant on our first ttc cycle but it wasn't meant to be.
Have got the clear blue advanced ovulation tests and today was day 4 of a flashing smile.
Love to all x

DaisyMay25 · 30/04/2018 21:16

@Smoothieyummy I've had an ultrasound on my pelvis, tubes, ovaries and cervix (all were fine) then I've had bloods done for diabetes, thyroid checked, iron levels, celiac disease, kidney functions and had checks for uti and stis, everything had been fine but if you're getting pains often I'd try and push for tests.

@Boboelephant I think my issue is I can't resist a bargain so if I see some tiny little shoes in the sale I might not be able to resist and put them in a box but then I think what if I never get a chance to use them. I'm undecided, hopefully that too doesn't get too small for your DS!

Boboelephant · 30/04/2018 21:09

@L1zz13 looks like it's coming soon 👍
@YellowDaffodils86 yeah I'm impatient too. Although i am one of the long timers. 😫 But hope I ovulate sooner as I hate the waiting for something to happen bit!
@Smoothieyummy EWCM is a sign that you're fertile bit not necessarily ovulating yet. Some people only get it for a day and some for several. I tend to get EWCM at the start of my fw so still about 4 days or so before ovulation. They say that it is the disappearance of the EWCM that signals ovulation. Opks can help as once you get a positive opk you usually ovulate 12-48 hours afterwards. If you've got it now I'd say it's time to jump DH for the next few days!
@DaisyMay25 I do remember it being talked about on one of the old threads. I don't but only because it'd make me sad. I have a big bro t-shirt I bought 6 months ago and I keep thinking I hope I get pregnant before it won't fit DS. But I'm sure it might help some people. Do what feels right for you!

Smoothieyummy · 30/04/2018 21:06

Yes mine is often on the left too. What tests have you done? My GP was quite dismissive, she told me MC was “normal” and “common” and didn’t offer me any test. However my friend who also had MCs went private and had tons of tests done and she found many issues. Some of the tests she did were thrombophilia screening, antiphospholipid anticardiolipin antibodies, lupus anticoagulant, thyroid functions and a natural killer cell test.

TimeWaitsForNoWoman · 30/04/2018 21:02

Hi lovelies! Just checking in to the new thread. I'm 29, TTC #1 C2 post MMC CD16 (please could someone add me to the roll call?).

Natural Cycles and Ava both predict that I'll ovulate today but I find it very hard to trust them since my cycle feels very different compared to before my MMC, despite peak fertility on CB OPK on Sat. Just going to keep shagging until temps confirm!

I think last night was the first night I didn't dream I was pregnant/had a baby/was having another MMC. I feel like this is a milestone. Big shout out to the penguin huddle for getting me through the last few weeks. I don't know what I would have done without you all!

DaisyMay25 · 30/04/2018 20:55

I can't remember who it was that said about the 'bottom drawer' but does anyone else have anything like it? I'm not sure if having some baby stuff would give me something to look forward to or make me sad. I'm in two minds, I've seen some people do boxes. Sorry if this is upsetting to people, that's not my intentions I just wondered if anyone else has anything like this?

DaisyMay25 · 30/04/2018 20:28

@Smoothieyummy it's been 8 months since mine too, I get different pains, just in the pelvis generally. They're usually on the left side. I get period pains randomly throughout my cycle too. It's crazy how much our mcs change our bodies. You can always go to your gp and get them to check it? I've had a few tests done and having more in the 15th

Smoothieyummy · 30/04/2018 20:24

Thanks ladies for the advice I’ve boight the OPKs from Amazon. I think I’m ovulating soon or maybe ovulating now because I just got EWCM, is that the sign of ovulation or does it mean I’ve ovulated?

My body has changed a lot after the MC, it’s been 8 months and since then I just feel more random pains in the ovaries and uterus area. Uterus is quite tender since yesterday I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the ovulation, ever since the MC I have ovulation pain but it was in the ovaries, not the uterus like today. From talking with some ladies at work who also had MCs it sounds like none of them have this problem :(.

YellowDaffodils86 · 30/04/2018 20:18

@L1zz13 thats what mine looked like today. They are on their way it seems.

@Boboelephant last month i think it was cd 22/23 but that counting cd1 the first day of bleeding from mc.
The cycle before, the one I convinced in and also the first following mirena coil removal, i ov cd 14/15.
So kind of a bit who knows🤷🏻‍♀️

Im hoping its cd14 im really impatient and the impatientness just kind of ends up making me feel generally fed up.
Then i feel bad for being impatient because really iv been ttc for five minutes in comparison to lots of others.

Blondcat · 30/04/2018 20:00

@L1zz13 thanks for sharing that. And glad to hear you are getting back to normal with your cycle good luck for a bfp soon x

L1zz13 · 30/04/2018 19:56

@Blondcat I had my mc on March 15th. My pregnancy tests were positive until the end of my 1st Af last week! Still positive for five and a half weeks!
Looking at the (tmi) contents of Af I could see why. There was definitely bits of left over lining and other tissue. Once it all passed the test was neg.
I was so concerned and annoyed at the time but now all seems to have settled down and I think I'm about to start my Fw.
We're all different and our bodies handle it their own way.
I hope my story helps xx

L1zz13 · 30/04/2018 19:48

@Boboelephant @YellowDaffodils86 building up to something. Boobs feel very full and a bit sore! Kids doing my head in for doing nothing at all.

Boboelephant · 30/04/2018 19:44

@Blondcat sorry its dragging. Hope it's over soon for you.
@YellowDaffodils86 what day did you ovulate last month? Hopefully it's 14 again. I also hope I'm closer to 17 than 22 this month!
@KnitKitty glad things are heading in the right direction. I think you're right that everyone is different. Apparently some people can ovulate and even get periods with a small amount of hcg so you may still get af soon. I agree about being happy for people on here with bfps!

hayleyfx · 30/04/2018 19:43

@Lilimum4 no problem! It took me a while to get a hang of the lingo too haha!
@Cakelaur I’m sure everything is okay! Try to relax and enjoy your holiday!!
@Blondcat sorry you’re having such a tough time. Pregnancy tests can stay positive for quite a while so hopefully everything is alright. I hope it’s all over for you soon Flowers

I’m CD3 currently, af on her way out should be gone by tomorrow/Wednesday so nothing to report!! Already prepping myself for FW and stocking up on everything 😂

Blondcat · 30/04/2018 19:26

@knitkitty thanks for sharing that it makes me feel a bit better to know this is fairly normal. As it was my first pregnancy I had no idea what to expect.

KnitKitty · 30/04/2018 19:03

Blondcat I only got my negative 4 weeks after my ERPC, it can take time for the HCG to leave the system. Like you, I rang EPU 3 weeks after the miscarriage to tell them I was still getting positives, they told me to test again at the end of the week and ring again if still positive (which it was). They booked me in for another pregnancy test and a scan for a couple of days later and when they tested at the hospital it was finally showing negative so they didn't bother scanning. Hope it's the same for you. xx

Well my ERPC was on the 27th March. Had my first negative pregnancy test on the 24th April (my partner and I celebrated with our first BD in a long while! Wink) and was told by doctor to see that as the first day of a new cycle if I wanted to start trying again and I may not ovulate or have a period for a good long while.
Today however I feel like AF is on her way, getting period cramps. Not sure if AF normally shows up so soon after HCG leaving the system? I guess it's one of those everyone-is-different things. Quite looking forward to having a proper period... my last one was January 10th.

You ladies are all amazing on here. So glad to have the support of everyone else here. Baby dust for all of you.

I don't know about you guys, but I find hearing about other people's pregnancies in RL is really hard, but on here I can't get enough of it! It makes me so happy to see other people's BFPs. I hope to see plenty in this thread!

YellowDaffodils86 · 30/04/2018 19:01

@Boboelephant I know, i couldn't remember exactly, then realised id jumped a day ahead.
I have watery cm, although sometimes i find it a bit tricky to tell for sure.
Mu opk today showed a line but lighter than control line, hopefully im right in my prediction of ov day at cd14. Im impatient as usual.
I dont have a history of cycle monitoring to help me, its a bit of guesswork at times.

Blondcat · 30/04/2018 18:29

So three weeks since start of mc bleeding and still getting faint positive Sad. Just been to the gp as they wanted me to come back about my high Blood Pressure mentioned it to her and she said test again end of the week and if still positive contact epu as they will likely want to scan me to check nothing left needing removal. I also had really horrible sharp pain woke me in the night end of last week and dh called 111 as I felt awful but it subsided and hasn't come back since she said if no pain since not to worry.
So now got to monitor bp to see if consistently high then may need medication otherwise just extra monitoring during pregnancy once my body gets back to normal and let's me try again.

Boboelephant · 30/04/2018 18:20

@Lilimum4 I hope you get your third soon. Might be worth using opks this month to see if cycles have changed. 🤞 for you!

@Boboelephant I'm using NHS calculator and flo app on phone.
36 TTC #3 C1 post mmc ( 13 years since my youngest was born. Thought I was done having babies but I couldn't leave it at two it's eaten me up for years but I listened to too many people say " two's enough for anyone" and it probably is for some people but not for me)

Boboelephant · 30/04/2018 17:52

@YellowDaffodils86 haha I thought you were a day behind me but didn't like to argue! 🤣 I'm starting opks- stark white this morning- do have watery cm but I've found my cm tends to go for ages so its not necessarily a sign yet. Although I'm convincing myself it is! I tend to ovulate recently between day 17 and 22 so may still be awhile! Who knows??

dulwichdays · 30/04/2018 17:49

@Llondbol So sorry to hear you’re having a tough time. I was thinking about how you were the other day, as I think we had our MC at very similar times.
I also put on weight post MC and don’t seem to shift my mindset away from binge eating when I’m feeling down. I too missed out on the fertility Cape, but I do honestly think all our times will come...it’s just the lack of any guarantee that sucks!

@L1zz13 i had neg opk this afternoon but not expecting ovulation till around cd14, fee days before my app is telling me.
Sounds like your FW is well and truly underway! Lots of BDing!!
I mc 19/3 thats the day a scan confirmed, i was 6w4d.

@edinbeezer hey and welcome. Sorry you have found yourself going through this rubbish time.
I didn't wait for first AF ethier.

@Llondbol sorry AF has arrived and you are having a tough time. I know how it feels to suffer from anxiety. I can almost feel the anxiety bubbling up for when im next pregnant and im not even there yet.
Well done on the weight loss though.

@Boboelephant are you limbering up 😂 i lied im cycle day 10.

The list makes me sad, so many of us.

Boboelephant · 30/04/2018 17:35

Sorry @Lilimum4 that's frustrating. But you're not out yet! Cycles can change alot after MC so you might be a bit different this month. What are you using to calculate fw?
You can either copy and paste list and add yourself or if you put:
Age, how long you've been trying and what number child you're ttc I'll add you.
