Thanks @Boboelephant - it's been really hard mentally. Got a counselling session booked for Thursday.

Just hoping for the bleeding to stop and a negative test. Then I can get on with ttc!

I may need advice on opks etc...we had the attitude what will be will be before...but now I'm just desperate to be preggers again. X

Curlypop · 01/05/2018 18:28

Thanks @PumpkinPatch000 today and tomorrow ago go then! Least I know I've ovulated fairly quickly after my mc. X

sweetpea0318 · 01/05/2018 18:12

Thanks @boboelephant - I'm going to do it! @lovewinemorethanhusband - I'm exactly the same.. it's all I think about from the moment I wake up (& in my dreams too). The frustration I feel at not being able to do anything about it all feels like it's consuming me sometimes. I also wasn't worried before as had it all planned out in my head how things would go after a very easy first pregnancy for dd - so naive!!! At least I won't ever take things for granted now.

Lilimum4 · 01/05/2018 18:10

Hello ladies. So fw starts tomorrow I'm hoping it happens for us. Sending baby dust and hugs to you all

PumpkinPatch000 · 01/05/2018 18:09

@lovewinemorethanhusband I know exactly what you mean. This cycle is the first one after MC and although babies and what my body is doing is constantly on my mind for some reason this time I’m easily fighting the urge to test. Not sure why. Maybe part of me has given up trying to figure out what is happening particularly as my cycles are all over the place. Cycle day 36 today!

PumpkinPatch000 · 01/05/2018 18:06

Thanks @bohoelephant how are you?

@curlypop you could ovulate tomorrow too as it’s up to 36 hours after the LH surge so still in with a chance DTD tomorrow too.

Curlypop · 01/05/2018 17:55

So I've had 4 days of flashing smiles and BD for 3 of them and today I have a static smile so will be BD when hubby is home. Does that mean we stop after tonight? (I could do with a rest!!)

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 01/05/2018 17:45

I'm driving myself mental with opks and obsessing over every single ache ans pain, I just don't know if it's healthy for me before my MMC we had the idea of if it happens it happens and in the 3 years since having my DD it never entered my head worrying about it all but since then I've become obsessed with getting pregnant again, anyone else like it ?

Boboelephant · 01/05/2018 17:36

@maxiflump1sorry af got you but at least you can move out of limbo now.
@PumpkinPatch000 welcome back.
@Laney79 I'm so glad you're ok. I've been a bit worried about you. So sorry it dragged on so long and you had to get the MM again but glad it's almost over now.
@sweetpea0318 I'd definitely go to your GP. Once you're over 35 they should investigate after 6 months not a year. If they try to tell you differently direct them to the NHS website. Also with the polycystic ovary they should be willing to help.

sweetpea0318 · 01/05/2018 12:08

Thanks @laney that's really helpful to know. The reason I've been holding off is that I had actually started the process of investigating secondary infertility as it wasn't happening for me. The day before I went to get my scan and blood results is when I found out I was preg so my appt turned into a booking-in one. But I did ask her what they would have done had I not been preg and she said they wouldn't do much as we hadn't been trying a year yet despite my age. After hearing your experience I think it's worth making an appt to see what see what she says now that the mc has happened. I'm also keen to know if I should be taking anything or doing anything differently now I know about my ovary - I know pcos can affect mc chances but not sure what having half pcos means! In the meantime I have been self medicating and taking additional supplements like selenium and zinc based on things I've found online... I just want to feel like I'm doing something!!

Laney79 · 01/05/2018 11:51

@sweetpea0318 my GP is ace. Because I have a pretty bad phobia of medical stuff I've been talking to her about having kids on and off for about a year and a half.

She's been very supportive, when I found out I was pregnant she got me an early appt with the community midwife to help with my phobia. When the likely MMC was discovered (private scan -they referred me to EPAU direct) she was sent a letter and rang me straight away. I was in pieces over the phone, desperately trying to understand why it was happening and panicking about my age. That's when she said she'd give me the higher dose folic acid-she said it won't harm me so might as well.

She also fought my corner with the hospital when the first round of med mgmt didn't work and I ended up in a very dark place mentally.

I've got another appt booked in a couple of weeks so will be asking about thyroid function and baby aspirin.

I do think age plays a part in what they will or won't do-and if you have a polycycstic ovary idve thought that would also make them more likely to do something.

Ultimately though I guess it's down to what your GP is like. I'd book an appt-mental health is just as important as physical so idve thought if it's concerning you they should at least consider your request? X

sweetpea0318 · 01/05/2018 11:37

Hi @laney79, I'm thinking of going to see my gp due to the age thing and I also know that one of my ovaries is polycystic.. but I've been dithering as this was my first mc and I've already got a dd so not sure if they'll do much with me. Did your gp take you seriously when you first went or did they give you the usual lines of trying for a year etc? Did they also prescribe high dose folic acid? I'm wondering what I should do! I'm 38 so time isn't on my side either.

Laney79 · 01/05/2018 10:43

Thanks @weasledee -nice to know I'm not alone on the age side of things!! I'm also on high dose folic acid, got an appt with the GP in a couple of weeks when I'm going to ask about the baby aspirin. Taking vit d too.

Just want to do everything I can to make sure I fall again, and when I do baby sticks. Got a hol to look forward to at the end of May so hoping that AF doesn't interfere and we can make that a baby making marathon!

weasledee · 01/05/2018 10:27

Hello laney and sorry for what you're been through.....

I can understand the age worry, I'm 41!!!! But on a positive note I finally went to see my doc this morning and he was very encouraging! He was more positive than me :) he's prescribed high dose folic acid and baby aspirin to be taken when I get my next BPP....
So I'm now 1DPO so we'll see what happens....
Oh and he referred me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic but actual said to just call the epu if I get a bfp before an appointment :)
Very helpful appointment :)

Laney79 · 01/05/2018 09:21

Hello ladies.

Can I tentatively mark my place? I was on one of the older threads during my MMC. But it appears I may finally be coming out the other side (6 and a half weeks after it was discovered, 2.5 weeks waiting for confirmation, 2 more weeks waiting for nature to take it course, which it didn't, medical management which failed then a second round of medical management with the additional mifepristone drug which appears to have worked).

Bleeding and pain began Friday, Sunday was the main day-agony, very heavy blood loss and clots. Bleeding now easing and this morning I POAS and it was only faintly positive-squinter.

So I need to get on the TTC bus. This was my first pregnancy and we weren't doing anything to actively conceive, just leaving it to nature/fate. But now we've had the joy of a BFP and the devastation of losing bean we definately do want a baby. And I'm no spring chicken...my 39th birthday is fast approaching.

So any top tips? I have opks...but have no real clue what I'm doing. All I know is my body and my heart is saying I need to be a mom...

Can I be added to the list? Age 38 (birthday in July) TTC #1. Cycle 1 I guess? Still bleeding from MMC? (MMC discovered at 9 weeks, bean measuring 5 weeks. Finally miscarried at 15 weeks)

Baby dust and positive thoughts to all. We WILL do this!

Lovemysparkle · 01/05/2018 08:45

Morning @zarala I was referred by my gp after my 3rd mc in early July 17 & my 1st appointment came through & I was seen 10th August 17 so very quickly!! I was seen firstly by a senior registrar & it took over an hour to go through everything they were very thorough, the registrar then took my case through to the professor (he only takes on certain cases) & after a very long 10 minutes I was told that the professor was going to take on our case!! When I had my 3rd mc my gp made me go & have bloods done so the rmc would have them when I had my appointment but the rmc put all new more involved tests into place. So I had to have bloods done between day 2-5 on af, then have a scan when not pregnant (internal) & I then I was scheduled to see professor 8 weeks later on 12th October 17 when I got all tests back (which were all normal) I was also told I had a polyp in my uterus so professor booked me in for hystoroscopy that appointment was 6th November 17 (no polyp found even though I was led to believe I’d had it nearly a year 😡) so I was then given the green light to ttc in instruction as soon as I get a bfp I have to see the professor straight away. So we have been trying since November, of course it’s personal Choice but although we may call it chemical pregnancy the medical people call it early miscarriage or pregnancy of unknown location so if this keeps happen to you & you want to be investigated by rmc then you have to report it to your gp (obviously personal choice) so all in all @zarala the process took 3 months so very quick. I am under professor manyonda at St. George’s hospital in south London, just waiting for that bfp & to give him a call!!!!
I had a good hen weekend thank you🤪🤪

PumpkinPatch000 · 01/05/2018 08:17

Good morning ladies, so sorry I’m rubbish at replying on here. Juggling so many things and the moment and pretty stressed so can just pop on here from time to time.

How are you all?

Have I missed any BFP news?

X

Morning all. Long time lurker and very occasional poster: just adding myself to the list! Was in the 2ww in first proper cycle since mmc but thing AF has come after only 23 days Angry Trying to persuade myself it's implantation bleeding but think I'm fooling myself!!

@DaisyMay25 thanks hun me too.
@YellowDaffodils86 thanks. Yeah I agree. I stuggle with that too. Especially as I fell pregnant first go and then it turned out to be EP. We've had such a struggle since then which I naively never expected. The lack of control and choice seems very unfair.
@rdm10 I'd keep bd'ing. You can get it in waves until o. I'd defi recommend opks and bbt. I've started to think we have been getting our times wrong for alot of the time trying!

hayleyfx · 30/04/2018 22:55

@DaisyMay25 it’s totally to each their own. I have a box of baby clothes/stuff but I bought it all while I was pregnant. I started buying stuff at 8/9 weeks pregnant as I naively assumed that things would be fine then. So by 11/12 weeks I had quite a few little outfits, teddies, blankets. Looking in the box now just makes me cry so I can’t even look at it. I just hope I can use all the stuff sometime soon. I think if it makes someone feel good then go for it!!
@Smoothieyummy I agree with what Bobo said! EWCM basically means = DTD asap haha!! I usually get EWCM for about 3-4 days before ovulation then on ovulation day it goes back to watery. Get to BD’ing haha!

rdm10 · 30/04/2018 22:53

Sorry to see all the new ladies here but welcome.

Can I ask about cm... I’ve never really taken much notice of it but my understanding is once you get it it means the start of fw then ewcm means ov? Well I had cm at the weekend, cd 9-10, now nothing. Have I ovulated and missed it??

Definitely going to get some opks for next month so avoid this uncertainty (unless I’m lucky this month 🤞)

YellowDaffodils86 · 30/04/2018 21:48

@DaisyMay25 i don't remember it on previous threads. Before mc i bought some pregnancy books and a little outfit set, it was the one thing i was going to get and then nothing until later in the pregnancy.
Unbeknown to me at the time, the baby had already gone😔. Quite a sad thought really.
The things i bought are now kept away in a cupboard.
Iv thought about buying little bits as i see them, but can really bring myself too.
I aways wonder if it will jinx things.
However i think its nice it it makes you happy.

@Boboelephant I think you have earnt your right to be impatient.
I know, i hate waiting for ovulation and hate waiting in the tww😩
The worst bit for me is the fact is i already got there, i did it, but it was taken away without any control or say in it.

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 30/04/2018 21:44

Hey girls wow lots to catch up on will read later when relaxing in bed
I've been doing opk and they are very faint what time of the day should I be doing the does it matter ? I've been doing them on the afternoons and it's feeling like I'm due to ovulate with pains I'm having and a bit of ewcm

Curlypop · 30/04/2018 21:38

Oh and I'm on cycle day 14 x
