@toots123 I am so so sorry you find yourself here- I cannot even imagine how difficult that must be- if you ever need to vent or talk about it- we're all here. Sending you lots of 🐧 hugs

@Martydog I ended up having to postpone my holiday over Xmas because of my ERPC- I told my travel insurance and they paid for my new flights. And then when I got to the states A week later, I had an infection and went to hospital - and again my insurers covered everything. But! I don't think you need to tell them anything unless something happens and you need to claim...
@Cakelaur skiing 3 days after ERPC?! Wow! That's hardcore! I was laid up and exhausted and generally feeling awful for about a week after mine! I'm sure it was a great way to get over it tho!

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend- it's a rainy one for us in London...and for those of you in tww! Strength and patience! 🙌🏽

Boboelephant · 12/05/2018 21:10

@YellowDaffodils86 well done you for self control. My problem is I already had two. And now I've got two more. So I'm a bit like ooh well they don't count 🤦‍♀️
I also am falling prey to Dr Google!

peachesarenom · 12/05/2018 20:40

Hi Martydog I'm so sorry. I've been thinking of you. I'm glad you're going on holiday, I think it is a great idea. Lots of love xxx

YellowDaffodils86 · 12/05/2018 20:19

@Boboelephant ohh tough. Iv got two waiting for next week, iv had them since before fw ready for end of tww. So far no urge to do it before 13dpo , we will see.
Iv already been googling tww symptoms 😂🤦🏽‍♀️

Boboelephant · 12/05/2018 19:39

Ahh willpower test! I've ended up with two free frer's! I feel like this is going to make holding off until 12dpo really damn hard. Hmmmm...... must not test at 8dpo!
she says as she imagines cracking it open

KnitKitty · 12/05/2018 19:08

toots123 So sorry for your loss. TTC again must feel very odd. Wishing you luck.

Cakelaur That's so cute about your husband crying. It must have been so emotional for both of you!

YellowDaffodils86 I personally cut out drinking when I started TTC. I've been drinking again since MC but my anxiety has got a lot worse so I'm stopping again now my period is over. I also don't drink caffeine usually (again, because it affects my anxiety levels). I don't see any harm in drinking alcohol or caffeine in moderation though. I'm pretty sure the baby doesn't get any nutrients directly from the mum in the first month anyway?

Curlypop That's exciting! Photo?

AF is winding down to a close now so I can get on with the BDing again now.
I'm hoping I don't ovulate until next Sunday at least because we have visitors Monday-Saturday and it's going to be impossible to get alone-time and I don't think they'll want to join in! Haha

YellowDaffodils86 · 12/05/2018 18:38

@Laney79
I pretty much echo what @Boboelephant has said.
I use boots ov tests, they look exactly the same as yours.
They have had a 3for2 offer for a while now.
I use mine after work around 5pm and sometimes before bed.
I find mine get very close and then suddenly very positive. So the ones that are very close sometimes make me unsure if iv hit surge or not yet.
My positives seem to hang around a good 2-3 days too.
FX crossed you get some +++soon

Wellthisunexpected · 12/05/2018 18:08

Been away awhile. But about to ovulate I think.

Sorry for your loss toots.

Babydust and crossed fingers for everyone.

Boboelephant · 12/05/2018 17:06

@Laney79 I use that brand too and they work just fine. I also don't want to literally pee away my money!
I have found that sometimes the line looks like it's getting darker and then gets lighter and then bam positive! So don't give up! And don't be tempted to believe any line is positive. They do get dark. For me from about 3 days before I'm expecting ovulation I test 2/3 times a day. This is because I often get my positive late at night and it's already lighter the next morning. So if I only tested once a day I'd miss it. I tend to do late morning (if possible- on working days this is not), then 5ish (your time is good) and then before bed. Good luck!

Laney79 · 12/05/2018 16:55

Ok ladies-gurus of opks, I need your help!

I'm 16 days on from medical management and when I started bleeding for my miscarriage. I had a negative preg test on Tuesday (so 5 days ago) I'm still bleeding but I really want to get to know my cycle and how I feel around ovulation time (was my 1st pregnancy and very much a case of-lets just leave it and see, but after the loss we are desperate to try again so I want to understand a bit more)

So I started testing with one step ovulation tests a few days ago. Tending to test mid/late afternoon (is that right?-is there a better time of day?)

All negative so far (faint pink lines but nothing that looks like a positive according to the packet) - I'm trying to tape them to a bit of card so I can see any progression.

Are the one step ones (see pics) ok to use? Or do I need a different brand? I have a job lot of clear blue digital ones but loathed to use those until I have a bit more understanding about timings as they are so expensive.

Any tips gratefully received! Xxx

@toots123 I am so so sorry for your loss. I can't even begin to imagine your pain. Welcome to this lovely group, they have all helped me so much. I hope you get your bfp soon.
@Cakelaur and @YellowDaffodils86 I just don't know. I should wait until at least Thursday which is 12dpo but I do have my gynae appt on Monday and a smear booked for Tuesday. Not sure if I need to know before that? But I get so down when I get a bfn and then af the next day! So maybe I should just wait! Apart from my achy legs my symptoms are less than usual so I hope it's a good sign!! 🤞🤞
@weasledee sorry for the bfn. Hopefully still too soon.
@Martydog holiday sounds like a good idea! @Anyday88 and @Blondcat enjoy your trips too!
@Curlypop fingers crossed! Have you got a pic???
@YellowDaffodils86 I don't worry about alcohol or caffeine in the tww. We've been trying for ages now and trying not to make life totally about ttc so I don't think it's worth worrying. We conceived my DS as a happy surprise and didn't find out til I was already 6 weeks. The doc said you can't do any damage that early until the placenta has developed. I stop completely once I get the bfp.
@L1zz13 when will you get results from the last blood tests?

toots123 · 12/05/2018 14:19

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I'm trying to stay as relaxed as possible but we all know that's pretty hard.
Wishing everyone a bfp very soon x

L1zz13 · 12/05/2018 13:18

No more news from me at the mo.

I have discovered something you may find useful. The 'invert colours' option on photos uploaded to fertility friend is something you can do on an iPhone. And other phones I suspect.
Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations > Invert Colours > Classic invert et voila!

Cakelaur · 12/05/2018 11:39

@YellowDaffodils86 I had a bottle of wine the night before my bfp and drank the whole way through the TWW. (We we're celebrating loads of birthdays and a whole pile of things) And had a coffee every morning. Stopped all of it the day i got bfp of course. But in my opinion the TWWs become reallly long and boring if I put my life on hold each month. And even more disappointing each bfn. But you have to do what you feel comfortable with.

@Curlypop oooh I hope so babe!! 🤞🏻if you need more opinions we all love looking at the two lines! 😉

@toots123 so sorry for your loss. Couldn't imagine what you've been through! But what a great outlook.

strawberrye · 12/05/2018 11:08

@YellowDaffodils86 I have got out of the habit of drinking alcohol mostly, I do tend to abstain completely after about 7DPO. And after 1st miscarriage I only have 1 cup of tea per day throughout my cycle, difficult especially when I'm doing nights and 12 hour shifts!

@PassTheAfterEights thanks I am feeling better. I have been chatting a lot to my friend who has had the miscarriage recently, she's the first person in real life who has been through miscarriage who I've been able to talk to about it in any depth and I've found that really helpful (for both of us I hope). Well remembered about my crazy BBT, they are still a bit all over the place but FF thinks it's detected ovulation? I'm not convinced, not been using OPKs or anything. BBT dropped this morning so may be due AF but it's been so jagged I wouldn't be surprised if it shot up again tomorrow! Tried to attach pic but phone won't me. How long did it take for the Clearblue control arm OPKs and vouchers to arrive after you sent all the stuff back?

@toots123 welcome and I am so sorry for your loss, I cannot imagine how hard that was Flowers

@Lilimum4 thinking of you, hope your pain is settled

weasledee · 12/05/2018 10:18

Welcome to this amazing group toots, although I'm sorry you find yourself here....
Can't imagine what you've been through I really can't, but you'll get lots of support here x

Curlypop · 12/05/2018 09:44

I gave in and tested early and think there's a line! I mc last month so I really hope this one sticks

YellowDaffodils86 · 12/05/2018 09:42

@Lilimum4 sorry that you have this extra stress on top of ttc. I hope things are solved soon and your appointment goes well.

@Martydog Hope things get solved soon, its unfair that these things can take so long.
Enjoy the holiday, sounds like a good idea, some time away should help.

@BabynameEdie haha 7dpo!! When will you test again? Im holding out till 13dpo orAF - maybe. 😂
I said this last month and broke out a hpt about 10dpo.
At least you are over the halfway mark.

@Boboelephant When are you going to crack?

@Cakelaur Aw what a lovely moment with your OH.

@weasledee Ah you just never know!

@toots123 So sorry for all you have been through, i hope you find some support here.

I hope things happen sooner this time.

@Anyday88 Im not sure, im not good with squinters, always a bit of a pessimist. But try in a few days, FX. Especially if you dont know what dpo you are, still a good chance a bfp happens.

Tww people- how goes it? Do any of you not drink alcohol or caffeine during this time??
Particularly 7-14dpo??

Blondcat · 12/05/2018 09:38

@toots123 welcome and sorry for your loss.
@martydog a holiday sounds like a great idea. We are off in a couple of weeks too though it was booked months ago and I am looking forward to it. Hope you enjoy x

HidCat · 12/05/2018 09:11

@toots123 I'm so sorry, I can't imagine your pain. Welcome to the 🐧 huddle. There are wonderful people in this group and we'll do our best to get you through.

@Martydog I hope you have a fab time and get lots of rest whilst away.

Martydog · 12/05/2018 09:02

@cakelaur we are only thinking of going to Majorca for a week take advantage of the cheap term time holidays as I normally can't go.

Anyday88 · 12/05/2018 08:56

Thanks ladies! I am going to stay with family for a few days today so hoping that will take my mind off it and will get a frer from amazon to be at home when I get back if af hasn’t shown up by then.
I’m not sure how many Dpo I am as I haven’t had an af since the mc.

Hope everyone has a good weekend xxx

Cakelaur · 12/05/2018 08:52

@Martydog I went skiing 3 days after my erpc. In terms of doctors advice they said I was safe to go (I had to take my notes) and my EU health card. (Dunno where you're planning on going) but they said I was safe to fly and ski as long as I took it easy. My travel insurance was with my bank. I didn't even mention it to them.

Martydog · 12/05/2018 08:45

Hi my husband and I have decided that we are going to go on holiday the week after next to try and move forward. But Regarding travel insurance do I need to declare the miscarriage because it doesn't come up on the list of conditions but I have seen a doctor in the last 2 years. Does anyone have any advice?

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 12/05/2018 08:17
