@Lovemysparkle don't you just love it when it all falls into place?

Hoping there are some BFPs just around the corner for those in the TWW. I'm on CD10 now but DH is off work with a cold FFS. Hoping he'll be back to normal within a few days.

Feeling a bit down this week, whole of hubby's family are off to Majorca but we didn't book on as thought I'd be 7 months pregnant and didn't want to chance it or spend money and of course it was sold out when we realised we could go and we didn't even have a passport for DS. Very gutted now. Will have to look for something else ASAP.

BabynameEdie · 14/05/2018 10:51

Bfn and a wasted frer at 10dpo 😩 just feel a bit unusual so getting hopes up but as you say @Boboelephant it's all just normal hormones at this stage of cycle so can't really tell..how's everyone else on tww doing?

Lovemysparkle · 14/05/2018 10:46

Morning all congratulations to all bfp’s ❤️ Sorry for all newcomers absolutely great bunch here👍🏼 Thinking of you all in 2ww & limbo💐
Well af arrived Saturday cd26 as expected with bells & knobs on!!! Felt a bit pissed off but on the other hand still trying to turn negative to positive my next af will be due a week before wedding day so will be totally good for wedding day & off to Majorca in fertile week 😁😁😁 so lots of HONEYMOON JKS!!!! Also not got time to feel shite about it as working full time & planning the rest of our wedding is taking up all hours 🙈 lots of love & hugs to you all & can’t wait for poas Friday to hopefully see lots more MAY MIRACLES ❤️❤️

I'm on 5mg folic acid due to problems in previous pregnancies and bmi and i was advised to start taking it 3 months prior to ttc.

KnitKitty · 14/05/2018 10:03

Yes I take folic acid 5mg because I have higher risk of spina bifida as I have a very mild form of it myself. Doctor said to start taking it as soon as TTC and can't overdose as excess is weed out, so fine to take along side regular multivitamin containing folic acid.

weasledee · 14/05/2018 09:51

Thanks martydog!

Martydog · 14/05/2018 09:05

I took 5mg of folic acid before I got my bfp my doctor just told me to start taking it as if you have too much folic acid your body will just wee it out.

weasledee · 14/05/2018 08:55

Another BFN and period cramps so I. Know I'm out.....
So, thinking of the next month, have you if you been prescribed 5mg of folic acid? Doc said take it once pregnant but wondering if taking it before would help? Do any of you take it now whilst still trying?

Martydog · 14/05/2018 08:55

Back at epu as 2nd set of tablets haven't worked. Got to see the doctor to see what's going to happen next

Lilimum4 · 14/05/2018 08:37

@Boboelephant I still don't know. I'm booked to go back tomorrow. They did hcg test last appointment bfn but was only 5dpo so I'm grasping at straws that it could still be my month ( stupid I know). I think more like a no as I've no symptoms either but ( what if ) xx

L1zz13 · 14/05/2018 08:06

@Boboelephant will phone results after school run.
Ready for the results. Will attempt to stop my google obsession until I know the hcg is back to normal.

Boboelephant · 14/05/2018 06:19

@Lilimum4 when have they booked you to go back to doc? What have you decided to do?
@L1zz13 did you get your blood results? Have they confirmed its definitely leftover hcg?

I'm also a terrible symptom spotter! Even though I know that you don't have symptoms until baby has implanted and they are just related to progesterone. Doesn't stop me getting obsessed every month!

This month for me the worst things are lower back ache (standard) and really achy legs around my thighs and groin. It's a new one and very unpleasant! Funnily enough I'm usually bloated, gassy and crampy at this stage but so far I'm not.

HidCat · 13/05/2018 21:40

@L1zz13 I feel your pain - took 13 weeks to get a negative and another 3 before my period with unbelievable PMS in between. You will get there.

DBoo · 13/05/2018 21:39

Just thought two symptoms missed off the list below of what to look out for in 2ww is iron taste in your mouth and increased sense of smell.

DBoo · 13/05/2018 21:20

7 dpo according to flo. Bloatedness and tiredness just started today but had nausea on and off since friday however i had a big family do yesterday and think could be nerves tbh.

DBoo · 13/05/2018 21:18

Lets start a tww symptom spotting tally chart Grin here's mine to date...

Bloated
Nausea on and off (although ive not had this till about 6 wks previous pregnancies so probably all in my head)
A bit more tired than normal
Af type cramps.

Will check my app and update with how many dpo i am.

YellowDaffodils86 · 13/05/2018 21:03

@Lilimum4
I dont tend to actively look, but sometimes i will notice things and wonder if it means something, basically reading into everything.
To be honest im not sure you get any true symptoms so early, but who knows! 🤷🏻‍♀️
The main things that most women seem to report in the tww are sore boobs, bloated, abundant cm, cramping, pulling in uterus, sore on side of boobs, fatigue, break outs, frequent urination. Others may add more too.
Its a shame you have some uncertainty this month, but you never know really what will happen. If you were to get a bfp would the treatment for your cyst interfere with pregnancy?
Glad you are feeling better though.

L1zz13 · 13/05/2018 20:56

Oh god symptom spotting. Don't get me started. I KNOW I'm not pg despite my ridiculous positive tests ( for those not aware I'm currently awaiting hcg to go down post mc 8 effing weeks ago) but I sure have enough symptoms to suggest otherwise! Af also due next weekend apparently!
Let's add constipation to the symptoms !
I never get constipated! Without reason anyway.

Congrats on the weekends BFP's
And sending lots of love to those still feeling shitty.

Lilimum4 · 13/05/2018 20:03

Hi ladies I'm feeling a bit better now.

@YellowDaffodils86 what sort of symptoms are you looking out for. I'm half way too but I'm sure with the cyst problem it will more than likely mean I'm out this month. But I'm curious as to what symptoms would show up so soon

YellowDaffodils86 · 13/05/2018 19:38

@DBoo halfway through too, starting to symptom spot!😱 it truly is a bitch!

DaisyMay25 · 13/05/2018 19:04

Congrats @Patienceofatoddler and @Curlypop
I'm just starting my tww, the fun begins!

DBoo · 13/05/2018 18:52

Congratulations on the bfps. Such exciting news. Wishing you lovely healthy pregnancies.

Im halfway through the tww now. Not doing any monitoring other than the apps but symptom spotting has started. Feeling mega bloated today which is a surprise as ive been doing weight watchers for the last fortnight. Totally shattered too. I have had a couple of early starts but been in bed and asleep before 11 each night so still a decent amount of sleep. The tww is a bitch Grin

Primrose16 · 13/05/2018 18:32

@Patienceofatoddler and @Curlypop congrats how exciting.

Patienceofatoddler · 13/05/2018 18:10

Thank You @HidCat I'm still somewhat shocked and won't count it as a given for a lot more weeks as my last miscarriage seems so raw in reality.

It's great to hear other women's experiences though and makes me less nervous. X x

KnitKitty · 13/05/2018 17:47

Congratulations Curlypop and Patienceofatoddler.

Best wishes for healthy pregnancies for you both.

Anyone else testing soon? I'm not even in my fertile week yet. Patience is a virtue.
