Good morning all.

HUGE congratulations to seaside . Fingers crossed that all goes well.

How are you feeling today rahrah? I have pretty much convinced myself that this month is not going to be the one. Sore boobs have not come back, cm is maybe drying up a bit. I can't symptom spot, because I have no symtoms! I just want to get this 2ww out of the way so that I can start again.

Ready I find it much more relaxing to not temp. I did 2 cycles were I temped all the way through. Once I got a temp drop before af started and once I got a temp drop the day after af came. Once I had an implantation dip that turned out to be nothing. Therefore I decided that temping during the 2ww did not tell me anything. Do you not find that when you are temping you sleep less well? I find myself waking up frequently thinking it's time to temp, then I lie in bed, unable to sleep, thinking that if I don't go back to sleep my temp will be unreliable. Maybe I'm just going mad? I'm thinking of having a month off temping next month and just going on cm alone as that seems to be fairly reliable for me.

Now that the pregnancy panda is finally here, do you think we should tie her down so she cannot get away again?

seaside72 · 16/05/2007 21:13

LOL fettle! thanks so much for your message will be picking all you TTC garduates brains frequently I am sure

Scorpio - thank you! BTW if you were to get a bfp and mine sticks and is all good I have a feeling we may see each other in the labour ward at Treliske?!!

Feeling a bit about the major thread hijack and me me me bias- let's have some temping talk everyone!!!

But am also so very privileged to have had such lovely support and messages from everyone especially as I feel fit to burst with the news but we are not telling anyone in RL yet (except my parents - in fact just told them a few hours ago and Dad cried!!! ahhh )

fettleandminifettle · 16/05/2007 20:37

That was drinking grapefruit juice by the way, not actually using it for extra lubrication - that would have just been silly [and sticky!!!]

fettleandminifettle · 16/05/2007 20:36

Seaside - what fantastic news!. So so pleased for you!! Must have been the spell, although I have to say I found increasing lubrication with grapefruit juice was the only major difference we made when I finally conceived again!

Are you going to call it Hebridie, then??

Cramps are totally normal - I had them on and off up and until 12 weeks - still have them occasionally TBH.

Enjoy these amazing few days while you get used to the idea - Greedy is right, not much rush to do anything at this stage. I'd get booked in at your GP as soon as you feel ready, just to get you in the system, but you probably won't see midwife until nearly 10-12 weeks.

Congratulations - Again!!!

Hello everyone else!!

feedmenow · 16/05/2007 20:14

OK, Scorpio, am up to date now I think. I'm not going to say any more til you make a proper BIG announcement!
You'll be pleased to know that I now have a chart! I have back filled it as best I can but have missed loads of days since my last period. Therefore, I don't think I'll post it for all to see until I have a bit more to show on it!

nomoremagnolia · 16/05/2007 17:49

Wanted to pop in and say....

Congrats Seaside!!

feedmenow · 16/05/2007 17:15

Scorpio did you see my post a little lower down? Whats this about you being "in the same position"?????

scorpio1 · 16/05/2007 17:12

SEASIDE

mum03 · 16/05/2007 17:12

CONGRATULATIONS SEASIDE

Great news to hear that you got your bpf. It is an exciting and scarey time, but try to enjoy every second of it. I had my first booking appt at 8 weeks. It was nothing more than a few questions and I was quite disappointed at the time, I am not sure what I was expecting (apart from a baby of course!). Relax and enjoy your holiday. Oh and yes the crampy type feelings are quite normal, disconcerting but normal. Congrats again.

RahRah1 · 16/05/2007 16:40

Just managed to long on as have been away from computer all day.... OMG!!!

I just knew you were Seaside.... many congratulations!!!

The feeling is fantastic when you get that 'I'm pregnant'! on a stick!

OK... you can now be my mentor for the next month, on how to relax and become pregnant... you can now off load all your tips!

Best tip is to enjoy every minute of it, which I am sure you will!

MrsMcJnr · 16/05/2007 16:36

Fabulous Seaside, massive congrtaulations! I had everything crossed!!

Sorry I have been so crap at posting, been really busy at work but will try and catch up with you all when the footie is on tonight!

greedygreedyguzzler · 16/05/2007 15:13

seaside - you prob dont need to do much right away apart from relax and enjoy! there is no mad rush to contact your gp/midwife but it will prob make you feel better once you have. first time round i phoned them as soon as i found out and then they gave me a date for my pre booking in appt at 9 weeks, so i had to wait 5 weeks till i saw my proper midwife! there is lots of waiting and not knowing involved!

once again, i am SO chuffed for you!!!!!!

feedmenow · 16/05/2007 14:50

Congrats Seaside!!!! What wonderful news!!

Ready I don't have a chart yet but have just signed up to join a free one, so will sort it out at home tonight. AND, I actually remembered to temp this morning! It's a miracle!!

seaside72 · 16/05/2007 14:47

thanks Ready {{{{big hugs}}}} -when are you coming with me?!! now where's that bloomin panda gone!!

If I listed all the "stuff" I did this past month to try and aid conception you would all think I was mad but I have to say I think the the acupuncture and cranio have def helped relax me and also the flower essences made me "feel" different emotionally than I had done before (not so panicky IYKWIM) and I used preseed successfully for the fist time this month. Now I dont normally have a problem with 'lubrication' around mid cycle but I had bought some and wanted to try it out so used it twice - so who knows - maybe it did help - it certainly did not hurt

Ohhh and what about the spell - woah??? I guess I will never know

Have to say am a bit worried about eye injury and antiobiotics etc - but did tell doc there was a chance and she said the AB were safe? not ideal though. Fingers crossed this bean stays put, in the right place, safe and sound.

I had an urge to log on to mumsnet - I must have an intuition

Seaside - I am sooooo utterly thrilled for you! How bloody wonderful!! I am honestly filling up with emotion!! You've waited so long, and you have got there - you are the cliche aren't you! - getting referred, chilling out and BAM! BFP!! YAY!!! WOOO!

seaside72 · 16/05/2007 14:20

Thanks beansprout - gosh hadn't even thought of hospitals?? I think there is only one in our area (as we are at the very end of the country!!) so not much choice but wil look into it. Really shouldn't get too excited until 12 weeks though right?

According to FF due date is 20 Jan 08

beansprout · 16/05/2007 14:10

Cramps are utterly normal for the next few weeks. Can feel like period pain though which can really play with your mind!

You can go to your docs whenever you want. If you have a choice of hospitals, start thinking about what one you want to go to so they can book you in!! The first big appt is the 12(ish) week scan and your booking appointment where they take all your details.

Wooo-hoooo!!!

So, when are you due then? Mid Jan?

seaside72 · 16/05/2007 13:57

Awww shucks - thanks everyone - feeling all warm and fuzzy from your lovely messages.

So - question oh wise experienced ones - what the hell do I do now??? go to the docs next week? I have 3 HTP's left so am sure will be doing some more to make sure. But I feel nothing except a few cramps? Is that normal?

greedy not sure I am ready to join all the graduates - feeling scared!! but may pop on to ask advice (sorry about the explosion BTW - hope it wasn't too messy )

I hope its OK but I am staying here for a while I think -we need to keep that pregnancy panda busy after our drought!

Looks like another late OV for me this cycle...

Fettle - Nothing on DH yet, to be honest it goes quiet for a bit, so might know something in the next few weeks. Limbo land is wonderful?.. not. How are you?

Rah - Don?t hate your body, flower! Try not to beat yourself up too much! Take it easy. I know what you mean about the clearcut symptoms though, but try to look at it from the point of view that when you fall, you might well know before you test because the symptoms won?t be there? Fingers crossed for you.

Minxi - Sorry to hear that you are feeling pmt weepy. Do you think the clomid also affects your temperature?? Hang in there. Fingers crossed.

Feedmenow - Do you have a chart online? We post our charts on there to share How?s it going?

Seaside - Don?t listen to these impatient girls ? you wait til you are good and ready to test!... Then we can all explode at your wonderful news! Fingers and toes crossed, your chart looks soooo good right now ? it has to be a BFP!

Jess - Is not temping relaxing? Or do you find you are looking for other symptoms more than if you could see what your temp was doing? I am planning not to temp next month, as we will be away for 10 days and I figure it?s a good a time as any to take a break from it all. Will I be worse without my thermometer I wonder?

Everyone else ? hope all is tickety-boo!
