If I'd known before the coil I don't think I would've had it. Or maybe a non hormonal one. Its so incredibly frustrating, how long have you been trying now?

thisisouryrfx18 · 18/04/2018 07:37

@Aph413 thats gd at least it shows your body was regular before the coil I think over time it will shorten I know thats not much use just now when ur ttc its soo frustrating isnt it? I ve always had long cycles thought it was gd when I was younger less periods if only I knew the grief it would cause later on lol

I had the mirena coil removed in August after 5 years, no periods in that time but before that my cycles were a wonderful 29 days.

And I'm back! Grin. Honestly so far I've only tried weightloss diet and vitamins. I've got b13 folic acid vitamin d and evening primrose oil. Oh and so much grapefruit juice. I'm tempted by acupuncture but I seemed to remember reading something about it stopping you giving blood unless it was done somewhere registered? Not 100% on that. May still give it a try even if it just helps me relax
We've been trying for 8 months now but that's only been 3 cycles so far.
How long are your cycles?

Soy isoflavones supposedly work a little like clomid and can help bring ovulation forward which will in turn shorten your cycle. You'll have more luck googling soy isoflavones than just soy but I forgot to use the full term for it Blush

thisisouryrfx18 · 17/04/2018 17:33

Oh yeah and upping my vitamin c intake supposedly helps

Welcome @Aph413 ! No havent heard of that tbh so far ive just been trying to exercise, eat more healthy in general, take iron supplements, conception vits and drinking raspberry leaf tea. Google doesnt seem to help much so how does the soy work is it a supplement or do you just eat more soy products?

My cycles are between 60 and 80 days. I'll take any advice you've got. I was considering soy for my next one, have you tried it?
