What quantities of iron n vit c do you take aph?

I hardly drink at all so it prob doesnt affect my ttc anyway lol..

But im a junk food queen!

thisisouryrfx18 · 20/04/2018 10:49

@Lilsquish trying to b more healthy but its hard isnt it? Going to the gym etc I used to only drink when i had af but ive been ttc for long now i just drink the first half of my cycle and dnt drink during the tww.

I've been ttc for 8 months Lilsquish I haven't given up drinking but I didn't drink a lot to begin with. I also try to exercise regularly but thats difficult with my work pattern.
I'm taking plain folic acid, b12 and vitamin d. Monitoring my cervical mucus, using opks both cheap and clearblue ones I got from groupon.
I'm waiting on an ovusense monitor to arrive so I can track my temperature too since my wake up time isn't consistent.
Thinking of adding in iron and vitamin c like thisisouryrfx18 to see if that helps cycle length.

Lilsquish · 20/04/2018 10:24

Looking to ttc this cycle.

Been taking conception vits but thats it.

Anyone else ttc? Do you go all out healthy? No booze etc?

Im trying to be more healthy but finding it hard.

Id read a little into soy iso's but got worried as read that they can stop people ovulating at all.

Going to try cheap internet ov tests this cycle.

Xx

Right heres my contribution for today and if ur prudeish dnt read lol i know its tmi but ive been told on other threads if you orgasm during af it makes it end quicker lol something to do with the contractions shedding the lining out quicker kind of makes sense.

Hey All,

Can I join please? Currently on CD 47 (ov'd on 12th)

I've been off the pill since jan but only bled once since. This is the first cycle I've ovulated so far 😊. Who knows when AF is due but I'm guessing the 26-27th.

Currently 7DPO - having mild cramping and sore nipples 🙊. I know it's probably normal for this stage in my cycle but it's been around 6 years since I've had a real cycle! Starting to spot every symptom lol.

thisisouryrfx18 · 19/04/2018 10:07

Welcome! @Lilsquish soo glad you joined❤ @Aph413 has summed it up really lol we need more tips lol

So far we've added up using soy isoflavones to bring forward ovulation, vitamin c and iron also seem to work. Are you ttc or just shortening cycles?

Lilsquish · 19/04/2018 06:52

Good morning ladies.

Can i join?

Since having my daughter 16 months ago i have been tracking cycles.

They.are.all.over.the.place :-(

Appear to be anything between 45 to 60 days.

Shortest was 37, longest 62.

Arghhh so frustrating.

Currently day 1, last cycle was 43 days.

Any tips to shorten/regulate cycles greatly appreciated!

thisisouryrfx18 · 19/04/2018 00:52

Thats gd at least u know you can get your money back if you dont detect ovulation. I swear ive spent a fortune the past year on ttc aids its still not got me anywhere! Im quite shocked no other women have joined this thread no offence to you btw your advice has been great never heard of soy or ovusense but I was hoping a gang of us would offer lots of solutions lol

I'm doing opks 3x a day right now. Trying not to think of the cost. I'll start temping as soon as my ovusense turns up. Fertility friend is suggesting my fertile week is next week so lots of dtd then with the lube. Next cycle I think I'll try the soy too. Hopefully with the ovusense itll work alone. Website says if it doesnt find my ovulation in 180 days I get my money back so its got to be worth it

thisisouryrfx18 · 18/04/2018 23:09

Me too lol ive chickened out of taking the soy..ive decided the plan for this month is to keep taking conception vits raspberry leaf tea iron and vit c as if thats not a lot lol like I said my cycle was 9days shorter so fx its the same this cycle but im going to use opks twice daily and use preseed everytime we dtd. If I dont get a positive on an opk then i ll use the soy next cycle defo got it out of tesco for£4.50 so not too bad😆

I've got fertile check gel from boots Grin. Debating if I should start my evening primrose oil again. I think I must rattle when I walk

thisisouryrfx18 · 18/04/2018 20:44

I know the feeling trust me! Im on loads of threads its the only thing within our control suppose what we eat/drink and temping. Got my soy just bout to take it..do yous use preseed or anything? Im wondering if taking soy with all the other vits im taking at the minute will counteract off to doc google again lol😆

Aph413 · 18/04/2018 19:08

I haven't received mine yet but I'll let you know. I hate tampons so I'm hoping this is comfortable but to be honest I'll do anything to get pregnant now.

thisisouryrfx18 · 18/04/2018 16:53

Ive been reading a really interesting article on soy says not to eat soy during your fertile week. Crazy that it helps ovulation but later on in your cycle it seems to damage sperm.

OP posts:
thisisouryrfx18 · 18/04/2018 11:56

Thats a really gd idea im the same i was gonna start temping but working all different hrs i dnt think itd b accurate, is it comfortable tho i tend to use pads rather than tampons. Well my cycle was 9days shorter this month taking the iron and vit c and ive got af atm and it seems slightly lighter. Fx this isnt just a total coincidence lol

Ovusense is a wearable internal thermometer that syncs with an app. I wake up at different times so I figured I'd give this ago. Should be £199 but I found the code SPRING that gave me 25% off so I went for it.
I haven't tried adding vitamin C but I might now. How much difference has it made to you?

Aph413 · 18/04/2018 11:16

I got the clear blue tests from groupon. They arent the dual hormone ones pictured but theyre still cheaper

thisisouryrfx18 · 18/04/2018 11:09

Do you use ovulation apps? some girls on another thread have told me fertility friend, flow and ovia are gd

OP posts:
thisisouryrfx18 · 18/04/2018 11:08

Thanks yh im gonna try and get some from tesco today..ovusense monitor hmmm need to google that aswell lol i was just trying to order clearblue ovulation tests from wowcher apparently theyr on it just now. Have you tried vit c to shorten your cycle the only different thing i done last cycle was taking vit c and iron and like i said my cycle was shorter worth a try eh?

OP posts:
Aph413 · 18/04/2018 10:27

I'm on cycle day 34 out of a predicted 60 so I'm going to wait for the next one to try soy. I also spent £150 on the ovusense monitor to see if that will help me pinpoint ovulation.
Good luck with the soy, are you getting it from Tesco?

thisisouryrfx18 · 18/04/2018 10:08

Yh ive read about a lot of ppl on here saying the same about all sorts of contraceptives messing with their cycles. Im lucky in a warped way that the pill etc give me really bad migraines so ive not been on anything like that for about 7yrs we were just using condoms and the withdrawl method.
