@flyingplum do you mean the soy isoflavones shortening cycles? Because I always thought that was different to regular soya

flyingplum · 22/04/2018 21:46

And fwiw with the soy thing...I'm vegan and eat loads of soya, so I've never been convinced on that one. I actually thought the phytoestrogens were supposed to be bad for your cycle and have been eating less of it, not more, since January.

flyingplum · 22/04/2018 21:44

Since we started TTC, my cycles have been almost regular, after years of all over the place (shortest 19, longest 83). Each month I expect it to go haywire again...maybe this month will be it. But I've been wondering if the pregnancy vitamin I started taking (seven seas) had anything to do with it...

I've actually told family we're trying. I needed support in one sense. On the other hand it shut my mil up when she once again asked about grandkids and I just looked at her and went I'm doing my best. There's only a 25% chance for a perfectly healthy woman.

thisisouryrfx18 · 21/04/2018 11:03

@Lilsquish and @FlapJackered im the same im kind of glad i didnt tell ne one we re ttc ppl would just constantly be asking r u not pregnant yet and add even more pressure! Lol im 33 dnt feel it either where does time go seriously scary lol

Lilsquish · 21/04/2018 09:44

Lol at flapjacked!!

I keep hiding mine too whenever anyone comes over.

Just dont want people to know we're ttc.

Aph413 · 21/04/2018 00:19

Lilsquish I'm 27. Feel like an old maid compared to both sisters having their first children at 23.
Speaking of mils though mine had the cheek to tell me to hurry up because my husband wasn't getting any younger. This was at 25 and 27, I'm sorry but we aren't all ready to have kids at 19. Although I suspect if I had got pregnant at 19 mil wouldn't have been happy with either of us.

FlapJackered · 21/04/2018 00:07

I have got my MIL over so cue hiding all the conception vits etc! I have a dog so will probably take her on a long walk tomorrow.

@Lilsquish I am 30, but also do not feel like it! I still feel far too young to be responsible enough to have kids!

Aph413 · 20/04/2018 22:23

@thisis I've already cleared out my wardrobe and drawers, getting ready to gut the house and bask in it's clean glory. Tidying tends to fall to the wayside after a 15 hour shift so it's overdue.

Lilsquish · 20/04/2018 22:22

Can i ask what ages u are guys? Im almost 34 :-@ (mentally im 21)

Sounds like some good weekend plans. I should be working, but off as i have a hen do :-D

thisisouryrfx18 · 20/04/2018 17:35

@Aph413 that sounds fun i luv dogs, sometimes its brill just to have a weekend off catch up on sleep watch a boxset or organise the house. Everybody thinks im weird when I say that lol but im boxing up stuff in my kitchen at the min having a gd old declutter then getting it decorated.

Aph413 · 20/04/2018 17:31

Its my first weekend off since December! I'm going to spend the whole weekend asleep! Grin I'm actually off to a dog show with a friend and her puppy. Not sure what happens at this show but I'm looking forward to relaxing. Might even organise my craft room (hopefully invoke sods law and it'll need to become a nursery as soon as I've got it how I like!)
Enjoy your night, you deserve to relax!

thisisouryrfx18 · 20/04/2018 17:25

I think it's better to start the ball rolling ti be honest. I think if it comes to it I'll be worried too but I've already managed to convince myself I'm not going to get pregnant without help. If it comes to that I'd want to start sooner because I know I want more than one child if I can

thisisouryrfx18 · 20/04/2018 16:45

@Aph413 thats whats worrying me at the min feel like i should be goin to the docs to get bloods done but i keep puttin it off. Its as if in my mind if I go its makjng it real that theres a problem, I know its soo stupid.

lilsquish sorry I missed you mentioned you had a miscarriage, sorry for your loss.

thisisouryr I'm finding the digitals quicker because I don't need to pee in a cup so I can do it at work, pop it in my handbag and check it when it's done. I'm determined no-one will be able to tell me I haven't tried everything if I have to go to the Drs

thisisouryrfx18 · 20/04/2018 14:41

@Aph yh im the same need to test more its just soo consuming thinking bout it all the time uuuggh we gotta do what we gotta do tho so

Woohoo Aph!! Exciting

Welcome flap xx

Aph413 · 20/04/2018 12:55

thisisouryrfx18 I think my issue may have been not testing at the right time and not testing enough. That's why I got these digital ones in bulk so I could check 3x a day starting from 17 days before my shortest logged period. I tried amazon cheapies and would start testing day 10 and then get disheartened or run out. This time I made myself wait.

Do you know if liquid iron is better than just a tablet? I'm going to order a load nore vitamins for next cycle as soon as af turns up.

Also sitting here having eaten 2 microwave pizzas for lunch confirms my place as a junk food junkie. I need to improve my diet.

thisisouryrfx18 · 20/04/2018 12:47

@Aph413 thats great ive never had a positive either fx for u !❤ @Lilsquish im the same with junk food I dont smoke so I suppose everbody needs their fix ours is sugar lol ive been ttc on n off for 2yrs now I ve been taking liquid iron thats got 14mg of iron 4mg of B6 and 20mg of vit c but I also take conception vits that contain vit c 80mg and iron 14mg more than what most ppl would need normally but Im prone to becoming anaemic pretty sure I am again from really heavy afs. Welcome @FlapJackered you never know u could be lucky and get pregnant quick soon see eh? 💜

FlapJackered · 20/04/2018 11:15

Can I join - currently on CD44. I am using Natural Cycles which says I ovulated on CD38. I am starting to TTC#1 next cycle so I am not anticipating it to be easy.
Also I have got a thyroid problem which probably doesn't help things.

I am just trying to eat lots of veg and cut down on dairy and bread to try and shorten them. I find it hard to stay off the alcohol at weekends though especially with this weather.

Lilsquish · 20/04/2018 11:03

How long have you been ttc for this?

I was 3 months with first pregnancy (ended in mc)

And 9 months with second x
