Must admit I'm probably going to be avoiding the drink this week because I'm having the most symptoms I've ever had and I've never felt so positive about it.
The more I try not to get my hopes up I must admit they're creeping

thisisouryrfx18 · 28/04/2018 16:47

I tend to drink at the beginning of my cycle before theres been a chance for me to ovulate, because ive been ttc on n off for2yrs now couldnt go that long without drinking lol

I didnt drink much to begin with, less than 2 units once a month. But if the mood takes me I just go for it, until I'm actually pregnant I'm not putting my life on hold. Which meant last weekend I had friends over and drank the most part of 4 bottles of gin Blush.
My diet on the other hand needs some serious improvement. I work 15 hours a day 12 days on then 6 hours a day the remaining 2. We had serious staffing cut backs so I ended up on the shifts I'm on now. Anyway. This all means I eat a LOT of fast food. Which can't be good for ttc.

FlapJackered · 28/04/2018 14:38

Good tips! Definitely going to try the tea.

What is everyone doing about alcohol? Have you cut down/cut out?
I have cut down but I have to say I am missing having a good few drinks at the weekend (not to sound like an alcoholic! 🍸) I used to have 3/4 double G&Ts on a fri and sat night and now just having 2 singles.

Apparently b6 helps balance hormones and can lengthen the luteal phase too. Figure it can't hurt

thisisouryrfx18 · 28/04/2018 13:09

@FlapJackered well my last cycle was 9days shorter so maybe or just coincidence lol im on cd14 so should see a positive in the nxt couple of days fx if i actually ovulate!

@thisisouryrfx18 - just added raspberry leaf tea to my online shop!
Do you think anything has helped?

@Aph413 - what is B6 meant to do? Help shorten the cycle?

Aph413 · 28/04/2018 12:46

What day are you on now thisis? Maybe when you get a little closer to 17 days before your shortest cycle start going 3 times a day? That's how I caught my surge.

thisisouryrfx18 · 28/04/2018 12:30

@Aph413 thats all gd signs xciting i used another opk this morning ANOTHER faint line! @FlapJackered ive just been sticking to iron vit c conception vits peeing on opks twice a day and sperm friendly lube oh yh and raspberry leaf tea nuthin too drastic lol😂

OP posts:
Aph413 · 28/04/2018 11:54

FlapJackered I haven't tried agnus castus this cycle I just did excessive amounts of opks to check I was actually ovulating. I'm thinking of adding b6 and inositol next cycle.
Fertility friend says to test on the 10th May but providing I ovulated when the opk said so I can test on the 5th

FlapJackered · 28/04/2018 11:36

Thanks @Aph413
I am trying grapefruit juice and some b vitamins and will probably try some exercise but a bit nervous to try anything too drastic straight away. I was wondering about Agnus Castus? Have you tried that?
When will you be able to test? 🤞🏻for you!

@thisisouryrfx18 - I know! I used to hate AF with a passion, but I was so pleased today!! Haha!

Aph413 · 28/04/2018 11:31

Oh and my temperature is back up today

Aph413 · 28/04/2018 11:24

thisisouryr I'm getting some weird low down cramps a bit like ovulation pain which Dr Google says could be implantation cramps. I'm also exhausted and my nipples feel like they're on fire today. So all good symptoms but I'm still trying not to get my hopes up.
Hadn't stopped me looking at baby things though Blush keep thinking it would be lovely to just give my husband a little baby gro to tell him. Started having very vivid dreams about it all so my mind is going haywire Blush

thisisouryrfx18 · 28/04/2018 10:37

@Flapjackered bet u thought ud never be soo happy to see af lol thats gd as u said onto a new cycle and a shorter one fx @Aph413 how u feeling today anymore symptoms?

OP posts:
Aph413 · 28/04/2018 10:03

@FlapJackered Yay!!
I did the clearblue trial. I was on the control arm though and this was a few months back when I thought my periods were going to be normal.
Are you going to try any extra supplements this cycle?

FlapJackered · 28/04/2018 09:39

Finally started my period after 52days! 🙄Thank god! It was going on and on. So now it is time to focus on getting it shorter and ttc!
Is anyone else doing the Clear blue clinical trial?
On another note my sister who has endometriosis asked her amazing top London fertility specialist about my long cycles and apparently she has suggested doing Hiit workouts and weights is great for shortening cycles?! May give it a go but I am generally fairly anti any exercise which makes me feel like I'm dying. Hmmm...

thisisouryrfx18 · 27/04/2018 22:15

@Aph413 aww he sounds like a gd guy..need to get to sleep ive got work in the morning but I feel wide awake lol

OP posts:
Aph413 · 27/04/2018 21:35

Mine wants a girl lol. Lucky for me he's so on board. He's happy to buy my supplements and I'll be sending him out with a right old list for my next cycle!

thisisouryrfx18 · 27/04/2018 20:45

@Aph413 yh thats gd sum guys dnt get it my OH is the same he really wants a baby a lot of his friends have kids now he keeps saying I want a boy to take to footie lol

OP posts:
Aph413 · 27/04/2018 16:43

Haha my DH already thinks I'm nuts. I think he might be worse than me when it comes to ttc. His only comment when I got the ovusense was it didn't matter how much it was if it got us a baby. Nice to have his full support but he is a bit bonkers.

thisisouryrfx18 · 27/04/2018 16:35

@Aph413 no ive never heard of it, but ur giving me more ideas my OH is gonna think im nuts if he doesnt already! Lol

OP posts:
Aph413 · 27/04/2018 15:59

And just to add to the list, have you heard of inositol? It can help balance your hormones and regulate your cycle. I was just reading about people being prescribed it for that purpose so I might try that rather than soy actually

Aph413 · 27/04/2018 15:50

I already have fertiliy lube but I'll probably add lots of vitamins to my basket for next cycle.
So far I've added up soy isoflavones, B6, Vit C and iron.
I need to read up on angus castus too. Will see if any of that helps shorten my cycle.
Oh and I might try bromelain supplements for my next tww

thisisouryrfx18 · 27/04/2018 11:25

@Aph413 im not 100% i think its to do with helping u absorb iron. I was talking to sumbody else who got bfp last mnth and she said the things she done different were take iron, eat pineapple core after ovulation and used preseed type lube. So thats the plan! Lol

OP posts:
Aph413 · 27/04/2018 10:31

I keep hoping I won't. Still symptom spotting like mad over here. But if I plan for next cycle hopefully I won't feel disappointed.
What do the b6 pills do? I think I missed the explanation somewhere.
