April Bus 2

Hi everyone I'm just looking for some advice really..

I'm just wondering has anybody experienced flu/cold like symptoms before getting a BFP? I'm currently between 9-11 DPO and AF is due in 3 days time. I woke up Friday morning feeling like I'd been hit by a bus after feeling completely fine Thursday so it was quite sudden not the usual creeping of the flu coming on. Constant head ache, runny but blocked nose, aching all over, appetite isn't so great and I'm sleeping at every minuet I get also my boobs are really sore and a little veiny. I've read a few things about people getting these symptoms before a BFP but just wanted to speak to someone who has. We've been TTC for just over a year now and have never felt like this before AF. I don't want to get my hopes up encase I'm just unlucky and have genuinely got the flu in such nice wether 😂

Any advice or tips are really appreciated x

Hello @flightless55 I would take a test with you just to be on the safe side, I hope AF doesn't come for you and you get your BFP!

Isn't it really hard to judge when your Ovulation is going to be, I just hope I've caught it in time this month. every time I test for Ovulation my tests just aren't strong enough but this month I got a solid ovulation test so I've got everything crossed.

We've been trying for just over a year now, I've only just come across this site a few weeks ago and have been reading through lots of things and have learnt lots so I thought I'd jump on and ask a few questions.

Hello @helbel42 sorry for the late reply, I've not stopped all day. Thankyou for your advice, I've started buying off amazon because it's costing me a fortune with both tests. I'm going to hang on for as long as I can but it's so hard waiting to find out.

My periods due 6-8th may (not regular)
We go on holiday on Thursday ..
can't make my mind up whether to take a test with me or not

I did join this bus earlier so thought I’d share some good news- BFP this morning! Trying to keep expectations realistic as it’s so early but wanted to add one for April 😊

Hi @Littleladie, test wise I think the first response early result (frer) are the best but they aren't cheap. I used cheap ones from amazon (think they were called one step) and as soon as I thought I might possibly have seen something super faint I used the frer.

Timing wise I got my bfp at 9dpo but my honest advice is to try to wait until af is due if you can. I had no restraint and would have bankrupted myself if it weren't for the amazon ones!

Hey everyone, just wondering if I can jump on and get a little advice.

My ovulation was 25/4/18 so I'm roughly 2-3 DPO. AF is due on the 8/5/18. Fingers crossed it doesn't come this month!

Does anyone know when's the best day to to take a test and what are the best ones?

@xLauraa. Eeeek! That was quick. You'll be fine though :-) My clomid are being delivered as we speak and will be here tomorrow!! Day 29 for me so at least another six or so days yet until my period shows. I'm debating getting one of those Ovusense things too x

After a bfn this morning I’ve had this, this afternoon. Not sure if it will come to anything as it’s so faint but is the most of a line I’ve had since starting ttc.

@LookingAtTheStars89 just got my Op date - 15th May so pre Op is on WEDNESDAY! Ahhhhhh

BFN for me again this morning at 12dpo so I’m pretty sure that I’m out. Totally and utterly disappointed again

11 dpo. I've been getting really sharp stabbing pains in my breast, zingers that only last a few moments. Bit odd as I normally get dull ache before AF. I'm also extremely weepy but could just be PMS.

@LookingAtTheStars89. I’m going to try really hard not to symptom spot going forward as set myself up for a huge disappointment last cycle. Was convinced that I had every pregnancy symptom under the sun so clearly I must have been pregnant! Yeah right......!! I’ll keep my fx for you this cycle. You will need to keep me posted 🙂 xx

@bubblybrit. I'm clueless about mine lol. I'm thinking of buying one of those Ovusense things. I have cramps today, according to flo I'm due on in 6 days, I'm not building my hopes up as weird dreams, spotsvamd cramps are an obvious impending period!

@xLauraa. Yeah I learned my lesson last cycle as well. Cycles had settled into a 32 day pattern so thought I was two days late! Turned out that it was just a longer cycle and I was gutted! Fx it’s our turn soon!

@Owlpatrol thanks Hun. How are you getting on? Maybe don't tell him this but if you have/get a good GP they will absolutely refer you without a SA (we did) ... so try not to get too stressed if he's a bit against it because there's always a way. If you get referred to a fertility clinic they will just do it there so maybe just explain he will have to do it either way!

@bubblybrit thanks lovely ! It's a bit frustrating that it varies and we never know when it's going to happen! One thing I thought last month when I ovulated later was knowing not to get my hopes up, so I wasn't AS upset when AF arrived

11dpo here and a bfn.

I had a vivid dream that I was last night. It’s not a symptom, well it might be a symptom of impending AF because it does tend to happen regularly around this time of the month. I guess when I’m thinking only a few more days til I know and that’s in my subconscious.

@LookingAtTheStars89 yes he needs to still he's still in denial that it could still be him at the moment but I've explained we won't get referred anywhere until he has it done

@Owlpatrol. Oh no :-( I always have my fingers so tightly crossed for you. Is your DH getting his sperm tested? I didn't imagine that there would be an issue with my DH's seeing as we have a DD together but there is one. Although it was a shock, I'm glad we know what we are up against.
