BFP after period!?

Hello! I'm hoping somebody can shed some light on my situation. I had what I thought was my period on the day it was due, it was quite light for me and lasted 3 days. I thought we were out for that month, due to husband travelling haven't been able to try again this month. On Friday I felt compelled to take a test, to my surprise BFP! Has anybody had this before? I've been for an early scan today and they couldn't see a sac but said it could be too early.

Of course it might not be and because the scan was abdominal, you might just have been a bit too early to see anything. Any early scan I've had has been internal. Hopefully it's just very early and you'll see / know more with the bloods as well.

Ah okay, that's interesting, sounds like it could be ectopic then. I didn't have an internal scan but am hoping will have one on Tuesday.

Yes I am having bloods taken. The sonogroapher said that she didn't think it was ectopic as I haven't had any pain. I personally think I have miscarried, now I just want to know either way.

OP I had this once and it turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy - sorry, that's not meant to scare you. Are you having any blood tests?

I was thinking that too, but if it was implantation bleeding, my last period was 2nd March meaning I would be 6 weeks, surely they would see at least a sac by now? It's all very strange. I have an appointment on Tuesday for a scan and some bloods.

Hi OP! It sounds like the light period you thought you had was probably implantation bleeding! When are you due to go back for a scan? Fx it was just too early to see anything
