Is testing at 9/10 dpo really too early? This is the stage i am at, tested twice...both bfns, once today once yesterday.

I remember with dd i was at least 4 days before af when i got my bfp so i am feeling pretty much out..when i had high hopes this month.

Countdown to pregnancy site says 47% bfp by 9dpo and 66% by 10dpo.

Im feeling some symptoms but duno if im over spotting. Had tiny tinge of brown discharge today when i wiped, af due in four days.

Hey ladies.

I’m on 5dpo today so definitely behind you all.

@babyhopeful2018 is a FRER a first response one? Pink packaging?
I feel like I’ve used so many different tests I don’t actually know which are the best.

Definitely agree with you @lookingforadvice15 eat and drink what you want. Our first month TTC I went T-Total (after Nee Years Eve). I do drink less during the TWW but life is too short not to drink good wine. And kudos on the cured meats ... will miss those if we do get a BFP. probably will still eat them. I’ll miss rare steak too!

Lookingforadvice15 · 11/05/2018 19:35

I say do it! Live your life. Ttc should work around our lives, not the other way around.

Im having a quiet night in with dp tonight as im working tomorrow 😔, im also loaded with the cold 😔😔.

We.re having wine, soft cheese, cured meat, the works! And i cant wait!

Back in 2013 before i found out i was pregnant with my dd i was out on my work xmas night out, drinking, partying, back to a house party, hardly any sleep. Following i found out i was pregnant. Hard practically no symptoms.

babyhopeful2018 · 11/05/2018 19:13

Yeah definitely that's the way I'm looking at it.... I've had no symptoms at all this month until today!! But it's just all normal pre AF things (however I'm TTC #1 so don't know any different)

I've got friends coming over tonight and I'm unsure whether or not to have a drink 🙈 Thinkinh surely a small glass of wine (I'll be pouring so stick to one) or a small cider wouldn't do any harm?!

But then if I were to be pregnant and anything happened would I hate myself for it?! Do I just have a Diet Coke and pass it off for vodka and Diet Coke 🙈 xx

Lookingforadvice15 · 11/05/2018 18:55

@babyhopeful2018 sorry about your bfn, as you say it aint over till the witch appears.

Im either 7/8 dpo, af due on thurs but will probably test before then. Im not really feeling anything tbh 🤷‍♀️. Trying not to symptom spot but as it has made me worse in previous months when af has shown up.

Hey @Lookingforadvice15 how are you getting on?

I'm at 11 dpo ☺️

I done a ic yesterday as I just wanted to do something but as expected it'll was BFN!! Was too early to do a test really!!

I've had a very bloated stomach all day and back pain so suppose that's something but hey could also be me setting up for AF?!

I'll keep positive though..... bought a FRER to do on Monday when AF I think is due xxx

Lookingforadvice15 · 11/05/2018 17:46

Hey ladies,
How we all doing? What dpo is everyone at? Hope you are all good x

OP posts:
babyhopeful2018 · 10/05/2018 12:57

@LP17
If it's meant to be it will be, I've everything crossed for you. I can imagine it being a stressful time for you but when you get a BFP it'll be worth all the stress ☺️

I've just starting taking temps...... just over a week now and I noticed a big dip yesterday (usually around 36.8ish then yesterday down to 36.6 and today 36.9) I don't know if it's really a big dip or just me trying to look for implantation dips 🙈 xxx

LP17 · 10/05/2018 07:29

@glera It was nice, just tiring and obviously had complicated feelings re: friend being pregnant. Finally seeing a bit of progress with extension so that's something. If you can find a decent builder you'll be ok - it's just finding one who will actually do what they say Hmm

@babyhopeful2018 you never know! I've learned that I start spotting from about 10 DPO for 5 days (ish) before AF arrives and that means I'm out - my temp has dropped again today to cover line.

Wondering if we should just stop TTC until extension is finished because my stress levels are a joke...

babyhopeful2018 · 10/05/2018 07:02

Morning @Lookingforadvice15 @Lookingforadvice15 @LP17

How are all you lovely ladies today?!

I've just under a week to go until AF arrives and it's strange this month I've had no symptoms at all ☹️

For the last 2 cycles I had loads of them and made me soo sure it had happened then boom AF appeared!!

I'm just hoping that with no symptoms it might mean something!xx

Glera · 10/05/2018 06:51

@lookingforadvice15
That is not sounding good at all. Hope your UTI clears up very soon. It also sounds like your body is still adjusting to coming off the pill. Were spots an issue when you went on it? When I came off in dec my most notable symptom was horrendously painful periods but for the past two cycles that’s died down. I know you’re about 5 months in, like me but just keep looking after yourself.

@babyhopeful18 good luck! I’ve learnt now just to wait until AF is due. I know it’s hard as so many people say they get a bfp like a week early but also, so many get them after AF.

@lp17 I hope your weekend away was good. How are you feeling now? We’re in the process of looking for a new house to buy and may need to extend/knock through. Your post is putting me off slightly.

babyhopeful2018 · 08/05/2018 21:27

@Lookingforadvice15 I've had this problem too!! My doc has prescribed me a gel (unsure of the name at the mo) as the pills I was on a few years back aren't good if TTC as it could affect bone development!!

It's w vicious circle..... TTC = stress, stress = spots, spots = stress and stress affects TTC ☹️

I'm 7/8 dpo now according to opk but 5/7 according to Flo..... really don't know how I'm going to last until next week to test 🙈 but gonna try my best to wait until AF is due xx

Lookingforadvice15 · 07/05/2018 21:07

Hey @lp17, hope you had a great time with your friends. Sorry you had to come home to your extension dramas again!

I spent my morning in a&e with this uti! Cause the docs were shut due to the bank holiday and i literally felt like i was peeing glass! Nearly through the roof everytime i went to the toilet. Was there for 2hours just to be told to keep drinking plenty as they didnt really want to give me an antibiotic. Could have cried. Just hope it doesnt mess with anything this month.

Also quick question for any of u ladies who have came off the pill. Has anyone had a really bad outbreak of spots since stopping. We're 5mths in and ive almost got acne type spots on my back and chest, its horrible and getting me so down, especially with summer coming in 😔😔. Feel like im falling to bits. Doctor says its normal but ive been reading there about low progestrone...not really sure how u would know if you have this or not without a blood test and the doc has refused this until ttc for over a year.

@lookingforadvice15 @glera I've been away for the weekend with friends. One of whom is clearly pregnant but must be too early to want to tell people. Trying to be happy for her but everything else isn't going well either so just feeling very, very sorry for myself.

Got home to my husband and our stupid extension and burst into tears. I think I need to have a proper holiday!

How have your bank holidays been?? Lovely weather here!

Lookingforadvice15 · 06/05/2018 10:29

Hey @glera. Good to hear from you! Fx crossed for you this month.

I have woken up with a uti this morning and its so painful 😳 trying to drink plenty. Hopefully flush it out.

Hello ladies.

I agree...feels like we’re back too soon! I’ve strabgely been looking forward to the time when I could join you ladies back in the thread.

@lp17 sounds like life is currently stressful for you. That’s rubbish! I hope the extension works more smoothly moving forwards.

@lookingforadvice I am sorry your anxiety is worse this month. Perhaps your hormones are in turmoil.

Since we last spoke, I’ve known three people declare their pregnancy. It hurts so much and then I feel such guilt for not just being genuinely happy for them.

I think that my ovulation day is tomorrow (day 20 of a 34 day cycle) so I think I will be a bit behind you all.

Keeping everything but my legs crossed this month.

Lookingforadvice15 · 04/05/2018 10:29

@LP17 i feel your pain. The two week wait is so hard and just seems to be getting harder.

Last month i poas at 10dpo and it was bfn and i automatically ruled myself out because i know people say it can take till after youve missed af etc but the way i look at it is if its negative by this point im ruling myself out.

Doing a house extension while all of this is going on must be hard. There is no point in telling you to 'relax' lol. Thats another thing people keep saying to me but its hard when ive got anixety, its like someone telling you not to think about breathing, then thats all you can focus on, its the same when people tell you to relax and not think about ttc.

@LookingForAdvice15 it's awful isn't it. I'm miserable during the 2WW winding myself up symptom spotting. Having woken up today with sore boobs (a usual PMS symptom) at 7DPO, I'm now convinced I'll be getting a BFN when/if I test. Now that I know for sure that I ovulate (was only using IC OPKs that just detect LH so not a guarantee - have never had a BFP and don't have any DC yet) I feel much more relaxed, thanks to temping. I was worried like you that it would make me obsessive but it's helped me to feel more calm, for this month at least. Have suggested to DH that he could speak to his GP about a sperm function/mobility test - it is early days for us as it is you, but I just want to know. Then if everything is ok physically I will know it's just a matter of perseverance rather than needing extra help.

We are having an extension done at the same time and it really hasn't been going well - every time AF arrives I think "no wonder" because I'm so stressed about the house/getting pregnant/the house/getting pregnant blah blah just a big stupid cycle. We've debated putting off TTC as it was really bad last month but I can't cope with the idea that it could take us more than 12 months, even 2 years and if we wait that just makes it longer and longer........

Lookingforadvice15 · 04/05/2018 08:24

I its actually horrible how much we stress ourselves over this.
I went to my doctor this week because of how bad my anxiety is getting over this.

She said im only 5mths in and although that might seem a lot to me, its really not in the scheme of things.

She said you need to be having sex twice a week, every week. Also that sperm can live for 5-7 days. She said she has no concerns over my fertility. My cycles are regular, i bleed for a normal amount of days, im young(ish), ive already had a child etc. I also told her that i have been able to find my peak every month on using opks, plus i get ov pains. She is more than happy based on that that i will be ovulating. I did buy a thermometer this month but i havent used it...i felt like it would just get me more stressed ☹.
She said some people come into her office who have never had a positive opk, dont get ov pains and maybe only have a period once every 3mths....so in a way i am lucky! And im thankful for that. Need to take positives from stuff. She said they wouldnt even start looking into blood tests until i am more than a year down the line.

She said but that i really need to take better care of my mental health as my anxiety may be a direct result of why it hasnt happened yet.

@LP17 well done on catching you ovulation, that will hopefully put your mind at ease 😊

@babyhopeful @lookingforadvice We've been married just over a year and constantly get asked. Also for some reason all my friends seem to be super fertile and catch on the first go. I've taken it harder as we started trying at the same time we started work on our extension and neither are going well - but I've been so stressed the first 3 cycles it's no wonder nothing has happened so far. Feeling slightly more relaxed this month as I'm temping and that has confirmed that I have at least ovulated!

babyhopeful2018 · 03/05/2018 20:45

Yeah it's my 3rd cycle TCC..... I know it's not that long but it's been a long 90+ days for me xx

Lookingforadvice15 · 03/05/2018 20:39

@babyhopeful2018 i can imagine that would be really hard but it will definately happen for you. Is this your third cycle?

That is the reason i havent told anyone outside of my family that we are trying. I dont want to be asked questions constantly. I still get it but....oh your DD will be going to school next year is it not time for another? When you thinking about having another then? I just want to scream!!

babyhopeful2018 · 03/05/2018 20:28

Well we are all here together @Lookingforadvice15 ☺️

I ovulate around day 12/13 in my cycle so thinking I'm about 3/4 dpo!! Gonna try my best not to pos or symptom spot this month and wait and see

Yes most definitely must have been something in the water - it's friends and friends of friends but I couldn't believe when they all announced it last week!!

I got married last September and ever since all I get is - are you not gonna have a baby soon - I want to scream in their face at times and say I'm trying!! I just say oh god it's not for me when it's hurting like hell inside, especially as some workmates/friends boast about it working first time xx

Lookingforadvice15 · 03/05/2018 20:19

@LP17 fx for your lack of symptoms 😊🤞🤞
